The payment for produced grain is constantly going down in price. It is important for farmers to become more effective in cultivating more land in a shorter time perspective. At the same time we have to calculate with the risk of getting lowered subsidies from the EU. This is why I would like to find out the possibilities for establishing winter wheat without ploughing. I hope to find a difference in the number of plants due to different soil preparations. With this experiment I expect to find out whether I can establish winter wheat at a lower cost, with the same numbers of plants per square meter.

The aim of this inquiry was to investigate the most appropriate measures to reduce noise impacts from road traffic on the Nydala recreational area in Umeå municipality due to the planned re-routing of the E4 motorway to an existing road along this area. The sound environment is an important part in the experience when we are visiting recreational areas. Noise is not only disturbing; the liberty from unwanted sounds also allows us to perceive natural sounds that are a benefit for the cultural experience. Therefore it is important to take actions to protect this well used area from traffic noise. The reasonable options to avoid noise impact in this case are to lower the speed limit, using a noise reducing coating or use noise protection screens and walls.

Denna rapport behandlar en radarsensors förmåga att upptäcka 107 mm raketerberoende på hur sensorn positioneras i förhållande till skyddsobjektet.Fältförsök, underrättelser och stridserfarenheter har visat att dessa raketer ärvanligt förekommande samt svåra att detektera med radarsensorer.En modell för hur räckviddsökning beror på olika sensorpositioner har skapats genom att använda dokument från USA och forna Sovjetunionen beskrivande ballistik tillsammans med teorier för hur räckvidd påverkas av radarmålarea (RCS) samten beskrivning av RCS tillhandahållen av FOI. Resultat från körningar iMATLAB visar att sensorpositioner inom 300 meter från skyddsobjektet ärfördelaktiga vid en skottvidd av 3000 meter.Som tumregel för att uppnå maximal sensorprestanda bör strävan vara att placera sensorn på ett avståndfrån skyddsobjektet understigande 10% av förväntad skottvidd..

Det vanligaste sättet att hålla hästar på i Sverige under 2010 är stall med boxar med begränsad utevistelse en och en eller i grupp. Det finns få studier gjorda på hästens rörelsemängd i paddockar. De studier som finns har visat att rörelsemängden ökar i större hagar. En studie gjord på Flyinge 2005 indikerar på att hästar som går i par har större aktivitet i hagen än hästar som går enskilt. Syftet med studien är att ta reda på om hästarna rör sig mer vid utevistelsen om de går i par jämfört med om de går enskilt. Studiens frågeställning är: Stimuleras hästarna till ökad rörelseaktivitet om de går parvis i hagen jämfört med om de går enskilt? Hypotesen är att utevistelse i par stimulerar till ökad rörelseaktivitet i form av tillryggalagd sträcka jämfört med hästar som hålls enskilt. Pulp- and papermills expend vast amounts of water in order to produce pulp, paper and cardboard. Hence, they alsocreate vast amounts of waste water which has to be cleaned before it can be released into the receiving body of water. Insuch a wastewater treatment plant, tremendous amounts of energy are expended by the aeration in the biologicalcleaning process. This aeration is necessary to supply the microorganisms that shall decompose organic material withoxygen, which they need for their metabolism. The transfer of oxygen from the gas phase to the liquid phase isprimarily inhibited by surface-active substances in the waste water like resin acids or fatty acids.

Denna rapport är resultatet av kandidatexamenskursen inom marina system på KTH i Stockholm. Kursensåväl som rapporten är indelad i tre delar.Del ett går ut på att skaffa sig en inblick i hur dagens handelsflotta ser ut, med allt som hör därtill. Tillexempel olika fartygstyper, olika drivmedel, internationella miljökrav och varvsverksamheter med mera.Detta redovisas med hjälp av en essä om den internationella sjöfarten.Del två går ut på att projektera ett eller flera fartyg utifrån ett givet transportscenario. I detta fall handlardet om att transportera etthundra trailers mellan Gdansk i polen och Nynäshamn på ostkusten en gångper dygn ifrån respektive hamn. I denna del behandlas alltifrån skeppsstabilitet och lastutrymmen tilllagkrav för internationell sjöfart och propellerarrangemang.

The aim of this study was to investigate how the content of the syllabus for Physical Education and Health at Uppsala University correlates to selected parts of the core content of the Gy11 syllabus for Physical Education and Health 1 in Upper Secondary School. Furthermore we aimed to investigate the perceived competency of recently graduated and still studying teachers of Physical Education and Health within the selected parts of the core content.The selected parts of the core content are:Exercise, sports and outdoor activities that develop a comprehensive physical abilityThe adjustment of tension and mental training.The methods used were a qualitative comparative text analysis of the syllabuses for Physical Education and Health at Uppsala University and Gy11 Physical Education and Health 1 in Upper Secondary School, as well as a quantitative survey conducted with recently graduated and still studying teachers of Physical Education and Health.The results were that there is an obvious correlation between the content of the syllabus for Physical Education and Health at Uppsala University and the Gy11 syllabus for Physical Education and Health 1 in Upper Secondary School. Moreover the survey shows that the respondents felt confidence in their ability to teach exercise, sports and outdoor activities that develop a comprehensive physical ability. The survey also shows that the respondents felt less confidence in their ability to teach the adjustment of tension and mental training..

During the summer of 2007 I was employed by Högestad Christinehofs Förvaltning AB. My main task was to make an inventory of giant trees at the estate. Högestad and Christinehof,which with their total possession of 13 000 ha of land is the biggest estate in Scania. A giant tree is a tree with a diameter in breast height more then 1 meter. Trees of these dimensions are registered by Swedish authorities. Landowners with a giant tree on their property can receive a subsidy for cutting trees that are in competition with the giant tree.(Levenskog, 2007) Giant trees are important for biodiversity in the landscape and there are important habitats for different insects, birds, bats, lichens and funguses.

The purpose of this essay is to examine wage-earners' investment funds from the ideological point of view. Were they in any way an integrated part of social democratical democratic socialism and reformism? I emphasize Olof Palme´s ideological idea of democratic socialism and reformism, and how he handled the issue. How did the question of these funds correspondent with the basic ideological points of view, and what was the standpoint of Palme in this issue.My method is built upon a deep study and analyses of SAP board of party and the standing committees protocol in the light of Olof Palme´s and SAP's ideology. I even use information from literature, inquiries and dissertations.

Starka samband har tidigare framkommit mellan den maximala styrkan i knäböj på två ben och sprintkapacitet rakt fram på varierande distanser men inte på sprintkapacitet i agility. Gemensamt för de flesta studier är dock att styrketesterna endast utförts på två ben.Syftet med studien var att undersöka korrelationen mellan maximal styrka i enbensknäböj i smith-maskin och sprintförmågan i löpningar, både rakt fram och med riktningsförändringar.Testgruppen bestod av 19 män (23,9 ± 2,5 år) med regelbunden träningserfarenhet av intermittenta lagsporter. Sprinttester gjordes på 5, 10 och 20 meter rakt fram samt ett zigzag agilitytest för att testa sprintkapacitet med riktningsförändringar. Enbensknäböj i smith-maskin genomfördes med stången på axlarna och ett djup på 110 grader vinkel mellan femur och tibia.Resultaten av studien visade på signifikanta korrelationer mellan den maximala styrkan i enbensknäböj och sprintkapaciteten på 5 och 10 meter samt i agility. När den maximala styrkan var relaterad till kroppsvikten hittades signifikanta korrelationer mellan 5 och 20 meter samt i agility.

The task of constructing a transmission has been provided to us by Digital Engineering, which is a company located in Hovmantorp. After meeting with Digital Engineering we started immediately with the brainstorming to find different ideas with pen and paper. After having presented a number of concepts for the company, we had finally chosen a winner. For the gearbox to be able to work in a good way the tension must never exceed the strain limit of the material. A prototype of the gearbox was produced by TKB Modell.
