AbstractThis work is about children?s motor activity. You can often hear in media about sedentary children, and that one of the factors which contributed to this is computers and things like that. The main goal with this work is to find out how preschool teachers take care of children?s joy of movement and how they work to promote children?s progress of motor activity.

The subject of this dissertation is the autobiographical novel Arnold by the Swedish writer Emilia Fogelklou (1878-1972). By combining Gérard Genette?s narratology and Andrew Gibson?s narrative ethics this study seeks to examine through what means the relationship is being told and with what ethical consequences different strategies are used to tell one?s experiences from life. The narrative analysis focuses on how the narrator is engaged in the narrative, how the bond between narrator and characters can be described, what is known to whom and how, and what is beyond the narrative?s limits.

The Swedish school is today a meeting place for many people with different cultures. The teacher education at Södertörn University have since 2002 been influenced by an intercultural profile. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the intercultural profile of Södertörn University is expressed in preschool- teachers/ teachers work. Is an intercultural approach requested in schools and is intercultural approach useful and applicable in the teaching profession? The report is based on a qualitative study of what intercultural competence means for five preschool- teachers/ teachers who have graduated from Södertörn University.

The aim of the study is to make a comparison between the nursery/preschool recommendations (by the state) made in 1972 and the one used today. Here I?ve focused on the posts of looking after children vis-à-vis the educational responsibility. Also the type of education recommended in 1972 and what type of education recommended today. My questions concerns what the preschool recommendations from 1972 are and how they are viewed and applied today in the 2000nds.Since my questions has to do with ideologies regarding children, family and society I choose to do a specific form of text and content analysis called Idea and ideology analysis.In my theoretical chapter I choose two aspects central for my field of examination.

Children at the age of six, has since 1991 been allowed to start their tuition in the Swedish school system. Studies reveal that; the first school year (preschool) can be a stressful task dueto the new environment, new friendships and higher expectations.The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze how the teachers perceive their own role in the transitioning process from preschool to school. This purpose required a method of qualitative complexion and therefore qualitative interviews were used. The material is based on four interviews with four different teachers. The teachers were asked the same question considering; the transition from preschool to school from a pupil point of view, their own role in that transition and their opinions on different educational tools.

My essay is concerned with intercultural leadership and practical knowledge. The essay is about ethical dilemmas and the diversity of issues we face constantly at the preschool. In my story I examine the different views of knowledge and the opportunities to lead people in an intercultural way, and how they relate to each other. I start by looking at the ethical ideas that form the basis for our actions and our view of knowledge. Then, I examine how the practical wisdom guides the ethical dilemmas that arise at the preschool.

This is qualitative study of, four teacher´s views on the use of iPad in teaching and learning. In addition, I will examine the disadvantages and advantages of iPad use as a teaching tool in preschools.My questions are:What is the practical use of tablets in preschools today?Are preschool teachers using the tablet as a teaching tool? If so, how?Is the use of tablets in preschools contributing to children´s social interaction, as well as between children and teachers` social interaction?The purpose of this study was to find out how the four teachers uses the iPad as a teaching tool in the interaction between children in preschool. I have chosen to use Vygotsky?s and John Dewey´s theories.

Förskolor kan ha olika pedagogiska profiler exempelvis Waldorfpedagogik, Montessoripedagogik och Reggio Emilia pedagogik. Vi har i vår studie studerat dessa verksamheter samt den kommunala förskolan. Syftet med undersökningen var att se vilka estetiska val barnen gjorde när de fick välja fritt och hur pedagogerna planerade estetiska aktiviteter i verksamheten. Vi synliggör även vissa likheter och skillnader mellan de pedagogiska profilerna. I denna undersökning har vi använt oss av kvalitativa intervjuer och observationer.

I detta arbete presenteras en studie som undersöker likvärdigheten i förskolans när- och utomhusmiljö. Arbetet tar sitt avstamp från skollagen och dess formulering ? Alla barn har rätt till en likvärdig utbildning?. I studien har tre frågeställningar formulerats för att besvara syftet. Frågeställningarna är följande: På vilket/vilka sätt har förskolans närmiljö betydelse för att uppnå målet; likvärdig utbildning? Hur kompenserar pedagogerna för en mindre stimulerande när- och utomhusmiljö på förskolan? Vad kan när- och utomhusmiljön på förskolan ha för betydelse för barns utveckling?  Undersökningen gjordes med hjälp av litteraturstudier och besök på tre olika förskolor där det genomfördes intervjuer med förskollärare och föreståndare på förskolorna samt observationer av utomhusmiljöerna och av barns utelek.

Podsadniak, Dorota & Rashid, Iwona (2013) Pedagogisk dokumentation i förskolan ? en studie om pedagogers syn på pedagogisk dokumentation i förskolan Malmö: Lärarutbildningen: Malmö högskola. Syfte med vår studie är att undersöka hur pedagoger på två utvalda förskolor i Skåne ser på, talar om och arbetar med pedagogisk dokumentation. Vi har utgått från frågeställningarna: Hur arbetar pedagoger med pedagogisk dokumentation? Vilken funktion har pedagogisk dokumentation i verksamheterna, enligt pedagogerna. Vi har valt att använda oss av kvalitativa intervjuer bestående av sex pedagoger på två olika förskolor ? tre pedagoger på vardera förskolan. Data har konstruerats genom inspelningar med pedagogerna.

Uppsatsen handlar om användningen av pedagogisk dokumentation i förskolan. Vi har problematiserat dess betydelse för relationen mellan förskollärare och föräldrar. Syftet med uppsatsen är därför att undersöka pedagogisk dokumentation i förskolan och dess betydelse för föräldrasamarbete. Vi vill genom vår undersökning studera hur förskollärare använder pedagogisk dokumentation i relation till föräldrar samt hur föräldrar upplever den dokumentation de tar del av.Dagens förståelse av pedagogisk dokumentation i förskolan placerar vi i ett sammanhang genom att beskriva dokumentationens rötter i utvecklingspsykologiska observationer. Vi presenterar Reggio Emilia som en inspirationskälla till dagens dokumentationsarbete samt presenterar portfolio som ett arbetssätt.

Preschool has a long tradition of using picture books, both as entertainment and as a resource for educational activities. In science there are two main application areas. The first one is science concepts and the second is to teach basic science process skills. These skills, observing, communicating, inferring, classifying, measuring and predicting reflects the methods used by scientists. Picture books potential to put science concepts and activities that promote the use of science process skills in a meaningful context, recommends using picture books for this purpose.

Abstract:This thesis work has been conducted at the Real Estate Department in Halmstad.The department consists of a construction/project management-unit and an operation/management-unit.Like many other towns in Sweden, Halmstad has had a long lasting problem with indoor environment. Not at least at their preschools.Today they are constructing from current building regulations. They have learned from negative experiences which have occurred in the indoor environment in older buildings.Focus is now on healthy materials, like low emission value, energy efficiency and optimization of the building, but still with soft parameters such as cleaning, interior and choice of materials.The fixtures is provides by the real estate department and the furnishings are provides by the children and youth administration. Together they are trying to provide a great indoor environment.I have, together with the real estate department and the children and youth administration of Halmstad, investigated how to provide a good indoor environment in the preschools with small funds.In my thesis there is one theoretical part with a questionnaire survey of how the preschool staff is experiencing their indoor environment to determine where the problems often start. And a practical part with measurements to try and come down to a result that analysis the cause of the problems and also to make sure that the ventilation systems are fulfilling projected values.The measurements and the questionnaire surveys was made at Lokes preschool in Frösakull, Askens preschool in Oskarström and Gullbrandstorps preschool.There were some differences between the staff-responses at the three different preschools.At Askens preschool they feel that the premises are cleaned poorly.At Gullbrandstorps preschool they feel that the indoor-air is bad because they can´t open the windows.

Uppsatsen är uppbyggd på aktionsforskning som behandlar vad pedagogerna på en förskola har för förväntningar på en ommöblering av inomhusmiljön och vad det kommer att leda till för pedagogerna i deras fortsatta arbete. Jag har även behandlat hur pedagogerna tänker när vi inreder rummen på nytt. Utgångspunkten för undersökningen har växt fram när jag har varit ute på olika förskolor och sett på den oinspirerade miljön. Min upplevelse var att det oftast saknades en filosofi om varför man möblerar som man gör.Utgångspunkten för min uppsats har varit att få svar på vad pedagogerna har för förväntningar och vad arbetet leder till i deras arbete. Detta har jag försökt att få svar på genom att intervjua pedagogerna som är med i förändringen.

The purpose of this study is to examine how educationalists work with bilingual children's language by looking at how and what approaches are used to encourage language development. I have chosen to compare two educational philosophies: Montessori and Outdoor Education, to see how big the differences / similarities are in working methods. The background to this study is that preschools uses various approaches and have different methods to stimulate the children. This means that the conditions for children's language development might look different depending on the preschool they go to. The information used has been gathered through interviews, where I have taken note of educationalists thoughts on their working methods, and through professional literature dealing with this topic.
