Introduction: Two women die every hour due to pregnancy and childbirth relatedcomplications in Bangladesh. It is well known that a strong midwifery profession is the key toachieving safer childbirth and it is the right of every woman to have access to a fully trainedmidwife and to a safe delivery. However this is not the case in Bangladesh. Today, theexisting nurse-midwives are not fully utilized for the midwifery services. The profession ismal-distributed, functioning as multi-purpose service provider and are not recognized as aseparate cadre of midwives.

In this essay I have been writing about the psychoanalyst Wilhelm Reich. It was written at the Library School in Borås as a contribution to the struggle of the maintenance of the free word. In the essay I have been concentrating on how Reich was received in Sweden from the publication of his first book 1927 to the year of 2000. The work started with a biographical chapter and a chapter about Reich's scientific development, which was divided into three phases: one psychoanalytical and Marxist, one physiological and biological and a third phase that makes a synthesis of these in a cosmological form. The analytic material has been books and articles from periodicals and papers.

Due to exploitation of the world?s rivers, the upstream migration of anadromous species is frequently delayed or even prevented. To mitigate these problems and allow fish to migrate past obstacles, structures such as fish ladders have been developed. However, recent studies show that many of the present fish passage facilities are deficient. Monitoring and evaluation of passage facilities is therefore crucial to enable necessary adjustments.

Min utgångspunkt för den här studien har varit att förstå och analysera pojkars menings- och identitetsskapande i vardagen. Mitt intresse var att förstå identitetsprocesser såsom de framträder i pojkars möten med olika texter, i ett vidgat perspektiv, med fokus på virtuella världar. Grundläggande begrepp är identitet, reception och meningsskapande. Vad jag främst velat ta reda på är vilken betydelse texter och virtuella världar har för pojkars menings- och identitetsskapande. För att ge en bakgrund och för att läsaren ska kunna få en bild av de olika sociala rum studiens pojkar befinner sig i ?tecknar? jag deras ?porträtt?.

The purpose of this essay is to look at how the depiction of cats is performed in childrens? picture books. I will analyze eight pictures from four different books, two from each. The books are from two different decades: from the 1960s and from the 2000s.My ambition is to see if there are any artistic or cultural differences when comparing the two decades? depictions of cats to each other.

This thesis investigates the reception of middle literature novels among critics in Swedish newspapers and at Swedish libraries. Works by three authors were chosen as representatives for middle literature: Helen Fielding, Nick Hornby and Tony Parsons. The investigation is based on interviews with librarians at the Gothenburg City Library, the total purchased number of books at public libraries in Sweden and analysis of Swedish newspaper reviews. The result is compared with theories by literary sociologists as Jofrid Karner Smidt, Janice Radway, Erland Munch-Petersen and Staffan Bergsten among others. It was found out that literary scientists and critics had a different way of looking at middle literature.

The purpouse of this study is to find out how and if a Content Managment System (CMS) can benefit from applied User Experience Design (UX). A work project has been executed where a client wanted the students to create a user friendly CMS for adding content to a global hotel review site. A prototype of a CMS was created based on literature studies about UX and CMS. The prototype of the user friendly CMS was then tested through user tests and interviews with key users. After input from the key users the prototype was changed until the users were satisfied with it..

Självbetjäningsterminaler tar över efter traditionella kassor och receptioner på allt fler platser i dagens samhälle. Vare sig du ska handla möbler på IKEA, låna böcker från biblioteket eller besiktiga bilen är sannolikheten stor att du stöter på en terminal. Dess användare anser många gånger att självbetjäningen är snabbare än och effektivare än dess traditionella motsvarighet, medan motståndarna anser att en maskin aldrig kan ersätta den personliga service en människa ger.Den här rapporten försöker dels besvara frågan om en självbetjäningsterminal tillför något positivt för personal respektive patienter på en mammografiklinik, och dels redogör den för de problem patienterna upplevde medan de använde terminalen.De patienter som rör sig på en mammografiklinik är i allmänhet äldre kvinnor med väldigt varierande förutsättningar vad det gäller datorvana. För att få så stort antal testpatienter som möjligt under utvärderingsperioden, stängdes klinikens ordinarie reception ner och samtliga patienter blev istället hänvisade till en av två självbetjäningsterminaler. Totalt användes terminalerna av 425 kvinnor i åldrarna 21 ? 83 år, där medelåldern låg på knappt 54 år.Utvärderingen visar att patienternas största problem i allmänhet var att först och främst hitta terminalen, och därefter att förstå att de skulle trycka på terminalens pekskärm för att interagera med den.

Syftet med arbetet är att belysa det behov av hjälp och insatser som skolorna anser sig behöva för att på bästa sätt ta emot elever med neuropsykiatriska funktionssvårigheter. Vi valde att intervjua åtta personer, vilka möter dessa barn på ett eller annat sätt i skolan. Sammanfattningsvis visar resultatet att alla önskar sig mer resurser i form av både pengar, kunskap och fler fysiska personer. Handlingsplaner för mottagandet av elever med NPF saknas på flera skolor samt att diagnosen inte sades ha någon betydelse för insatserna för dessa barn..

The goal in doing this study has been studying public interpretations of media content in the commercials that this study uses. The analysis was based on two TV commercials for feminine hygiene products. Initially, they seemed to differ from each other, but soon the question whether or not they in fact did convey the same underlying message was raised. The theoretical premises on which the study was founded on are the gender perspective in advertising and the social construction of gender. To reveal the hidden signs appearing in these commercials and to find out their meanings, we used the method of semiotic analysis.
