Private Banking : En lönsam kostnad?
Problem: Hur skiljer sig Swedbanks Private Banking-tjänst ifrån dess Privatrådgivningstjänst i termer av kundkaraktäristika, relationsmässigt mervärde samt finansiell avkastning? Hur skiljer sig bankens fokusering ifrån kundens efterfrågan baserat på dessa variabler? Vad beror dessa eventuella skillnader på?Hur ser en modell som förklarar sambandet mellan avkastning och kontaktintensitet ut och är en exklusivare rådgivningstjänst så som PrivateBanking-tjänsten nödvändig att tillhandahålla för kundens räkning baserat på dessa variabler?Syfte: Definiera det mervärde Swedbanks AB:s PrivateBanking-tjänst medför i form av avkastning och relationsmässiga sådana, och vad som driver kunden att betala för denna tjänst jämfört med ordinär Privatrådgivning. Detta kommer generera en slutsats huruvida Private Banking-tjänsten medförnågon överavkastning, samtidigt som en modell kommer kunna skapas som visar ett eventuellt samband mellan avkastning och kontaktintensitet, vilket visar nödvändigheten med exklusivare sådana. Detta för att finna de eventuella gap som finns mellan kundens uppfattning och bankens tyngdpunkter.Metod: Vi har genomfört en kvalitativ undersökning i form av intervjuer med Private Banking- och Privatrådgivare på Swedbank AB. Därefter har en kvantitativ undersökning genomförts i form av enkäter till kunder som innehar Swedbanks rådgivningstjänster.

This essay is about the question if there is any difference in quality at the homes for the elderly in Skåne, depending on however the home is run by a public organization or private counterpart. The quality of the homes is meet with the help of numbers in ?the guide for the elderly? the facts in the guide are collected and judged by the ?Swedish National Board of Health. The result from the guide is divided into seven areas of quality, and then compared in a statistic test between the different types of organizations. And finally the result of the statistics is put in the context of the theory of New Public Management.

A case study was done of Sthlm Policy Group, a consulting agency that mainly targets NGOs and government agencies in the peace and security sector. The goal of the case study was to explore the tendency of NGOs in Sweden to hire commercial consulting companies. The main interest was to see what the key reasons are for NGOs to hire private consulting agencies, but also to explore what problems that might be associated with such relationships. Interviews were carried out with representatives of the consulting agency, with its clients as well as with other NGOs that were identified as potential clients. The interviewed NGOs and government agencies were found to approve of the use of commercial consultants.

This BSc thesis is a part of an initial step of a collaboration between Skansen and Kenyan Wildlife Service (KWS) and constitutes of an inventory of the Nairobi Animal Orphanage run by KWS. Animal Orphanage takes care of orphaned and injured animals arriving from throughout Kenya. The project started out as a refuge and as a temporary place for animals in need of care and help. With time it has evolved to an establishment that resembles and functions more like an animal zoo. The aim of this inventory is to focus on how the biological needs of Congo grey parrots ( Psittacus erithacus erithacus) and cheetahs (Acinonyx jubatus) are met, in terms of management and housing.

Summary
The place I have been working with is a garden, belonging to a family estate, called Tolvmansgården. It is located on an island northeast of Norrtälje in Roslagen. The frontage is red with white corners like so many other houses in the neighbourhood, but ours is one of the oldest houses on the island. Today the house and garden is own by my mother, Pia Johansson.
Since I?ve started my education in garden design my interest for our country garden has increased.

The genus Campylobacter is globally recognised as the leading bacterial cause of human foodborne gastroenteritis. Every year around 8000 Swedes are infected by Campylobacter. Most people are infected by thermotolerant Campylobacter species, commonly C. jejuni and C. coli.

Environmental impact and management of energy is a highly topical issue in today's society. Climate impact must be reduced. The Government has set a target to reduce energy consumption in buildings by 20 % by 2020 and 50 % by 2050 compared to the energy use in 1995.With this in mind, we chose to examine how property owners can work on improving energy efficiency in existing apartment buildings. We also wanted to investigate profitability of different increasing energy efficiency measures and the calculation methods and the risk assessment performed by such investments. To tie in with government objectives, we also saw the possibilities of achieving these goals.20 companies were interviewed, of which 14 were property owners and 6 were consulting firms that works with energy efficiency.
Risk i fastighetsbolag : - en kvantitativ studie av kommunala och privata fastighetsbolag
Jämfört med andra branscher har fastighetsmarknaden låg avkastning på totala tillgångar, de utnyttjar istället en hävstångsstrategi för att skapa mer effektiv utväxling på eget kapital. Det finns många riskvariabler kopplat till fastighetsbranschen och flera sätt att differentiera sig från den osystematiska risken. De kommunala fastighetsbolagen har en finansieringskälla Kommuninvest, som enbart vänder sig till allmännyttiga bolag och inte privata aktörer.Syftet med uppsatsen är att historiskt analysera hur risk och avkastning genererats av kommunala och privata fastighetsbolag. Metoden är kvantitativ, kombinerat med en deduktiv metod och som har en förklarande ansats.Utifrån teori har vi formulerat tre hypoteser för att undersöka om vi kan finna indikatorer på hur kommunala och privata fastighetsbolag skiljer sig till från varandra. För att genomföra undersökningen har uppsatsen utgått från en kvantitativ metod och statistiska test har gjorts för att kunna analysera utfallen.Resultaten indikerar på att det finns en signifikant skillnad mellan kommunala och privata fastighetsbolag i två av hypoteserna.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the price effect on the initial day of trading of IPOs and the price effect on the announcement day of SEOs on Stockholm Stock Exchange. A second purpose it to conduct studies on which factors influencing the price effects and if these factors can be explained by the same fundamental ideas. Theories regarding capital structure and the pricing of IPOs and SEOs are covered. The capital structure theories involve; Miller and Modigliani's cost of captial theory, Static Tradeoff Model and the Pecking Order. The Efficient Market Hypothesis is presented and previous theories are investigated.

The major difference between venture capital-firms and other financiers is that their business idea is not only providing capital but also knowledge in business development. The ownership structure of an venture capital-firm can be private as well as public. The Swedish government is today one of the major actors in the Swedish venture capital-industry. The purpose of this study is to shed light on how venture capital-firms involve itself in its portfolio firm and if this contributes to an increased value of the portfolio firm. We also try to shed light on differences in how a public and a private venture capital-firm gets involved in its portfolio firm and if there is any difference in how they can contribute to added value.We have chosen to interview two public and two private venture capital-firms and one of their portfolio firms.

It is a common view that companies should focus on building brands to increase profitability and stabilize cash flows. However, building and keeping brands alive is costly. Many firms spend large sums on branding only because they are supposed to, without knowing if they will actually gain from it. Up to date, there is limited convincing evidence that branding actually contributes to shareholder value creation. This thesis aims to investigate the relationship between brand strength and profitability and shareholder value.

The purpose of this study was to examine how small-scale private forest ownersmake decisions regarding pre-commercial thinning. In 2015 it is ten years agosince the storm Gudrun hit the southern parts of Sweden and now large areas arein need of pre-commercial thinning. This study is built upon qualitativeinterviews with seven small-scale private forest owners with forest properties inthe county Kronoberg. The respondents were chosen by the modelSKOGSÄGARPROFILENTM (forest owner profile).The results of the interviews showed that five categories: ownership, the stormGudrun´s impact, silviculture, forestry contacts and driving force was important.How will their purpose and aim affect the pre-commercial thinning? Personalinterests, and expectations of the next generation to take over, are purposes thisstudy has found.
Konsumentbaserat Varumärkeskapital -Egna Varumärken och Traditionella Varumärken, en jämförande studie i dagligvaruhandeln
Vårt syfte är att skapa en ökad förståelse för EVM och deras styrka i svensk dagligvaruhandel i egenskap av varumärkeskapital. Vårt syfte är också att undersöka hur starka EVM är relativt traditionella varumärken samt utreda om de generella dimensioner som konsumentbaserat varumärkeskapital anses bestå av är relevanta för tvättmedel i dagligvaruhandeln. Vi har använt en redan operationell modell för konsumentbaserat varumärkeskapital utformad för traditionella varumärken och applicerat denna på egna varumärken. Genom kvantitativ metod, i form av 97 enkätundersökningar har vi testat den operationella modellens relevans samt jämfört styrkan av EVM mot den av traditionella varumärken. Vår undersökning visar att Skona, ICA: s egna varumärke, har skapat ett starkt konsumentbaserat varumärkeskapital.
