AimThe aim of this study has been to examine how health enhancement teachers in Montana, USA, view the value of physical activity from a lifelong perspective.In what way does the health enhancement teacher think the importance of physical activity from a lifelong perspective could be presented?What resources are available for teachers to present the value of physical activity from a lifelong perspective?MethodThe issue has been answered through qualitative interviews consisting of six health enhancement teachers, four women and two men, in Montana, USA. One of the teachers worked at an elementary school (for 30 years), three teachers worked at middle schools (20, 10 and 8 years of work experience) and two of the teachers interviewed worked at a high school (30 and 3 years).  ResultsThe majority of teachers feel that a wide variety of activities, adapted to an individual level, and the understanding of a healthy lifestyle are important in order for the teacher to present the value of physical activity from a lifelong perspective.The teachers felt they had sufficient material in order to present the value of physical activity, where the school budget provided the teachers with materials every year. In addition to the budget, all the teachers had 12 hours of professional development every year where they could attend conferences or their own choice of professional development.ConclusionWith the help in forms of professional development offered by the school, conferences, meeting with other teachers, and their own choice of development, the teachers instruction techniques could increase which could help the teachers to find the pupils? interest for different kinds of physical activities.KeywordsPhysical education and health, physical activity, SOC, sense of coherence..

Lärare och skolbibliotekariers samarbete : Utifrån TLC-modellerna

This two year masters thesis is written in the scientific field of library- and information science. The purpose of the study is to investigate the collaboration between teachers and librarians in different types of school library organisations. Two school libraries with only the school as a target group, two integrated public- and school libraries, one school library division and one public library that provides the school with school library services has been studied. The study takes place in Uppland.The theoretical framework used is based on Montiel-Overall and her four models of collaboration: coordina-tion, cooperation, integrated instruction and integrated curriculum. The first research question focuses on the col-laboration between teachers and librarians based on each of the TLC-models.

Läslust och läsförståelse ? en longitudinell studie över 3 år (Motivation of reading and reading conprehemsion - a longitudinal study during 3 years). Skolutveckling och ledarskap, Specialpedagogexamen, Lärarutbildningen, Malmö högskola. Syftet med denna aktionsstudie är att ta reda på huruvida läslusten och läsförståelsen har ökat hos eleverna i år 9 efter att de har deltagit i ett strukturerat och lärarlett läsprojekt under tre års tid. Vi frågade oss vilken påverkan det treåriga läsprojektet har haft på eleverna i år 9 gällande deras läslust och läsförståelse och om vi genom läsprojektet når de elever i undersökningsgruppen som har svag läsförståelse, samt om läsprojektet har ökat medvetenheten hos pedagogerna gällande läsning och läsförståelse.

 An analysis in the work of Martin Kellermans comic ?Rocky? of the interaction between the male and female characters and of how each of their gender are portrayed. We are going to find out if it is probable for young adults to be affected by any eventual gender-stereotypes that we can find in ?Rocky? or if ?Rocky? consolidates a stereotypical image of men and women that young adults might have developed through different media. The City Library has a problem getting children interested in reading. Futhermore, there are no clear signs to aid children to navigate themselves to books targeted to their age group. To solve this problem, this thesis aims to design signs that is both illustrative and informative.Of the images that were tested during the research, I would assume that children in such a wide age range requires the simplest level of abstraction from testing the three testing icons, since the second level of abstraction was not interesting enough for the kids. This report is the result of my examination work in Textdesign at Mälardalen University, Eskilstuna. The purpose with this work was to develop an accessible information material for the target group ?normal bowlers? that gives them the information they need to make their own decision on the lanes, because they often miss a coach during an away game. The focus was to target adjust the material through the theories readability, legibility and reading value, together with the method qualitative interviews. This report fits in the Master program of Internet Technology at School of Engineering in Jönköping University in Sweden.The question at issue was how you protect your information against different threats. Kreativitet och blockeringar - Icke-musikers upplevelser av musikskapande

Title: Creativity and blockings: Non-musicians? experiences of music making The purpose of this study was to investigate whether the ability of music-making can benefit from and/or be inhibited by extra-musical factors, such as one's own or other people's opinions, criticism, prejudice and values. An experiment was carried out, where 10 nonmusicians were instructed to solve a compositional problem (writing pieces of music to a picture) which had been expressed in two different ways, one of which (A) was intended to block creativity and the other (B) to facilitate the creative process. All subjects also had to answer a questionnaire, where their experiences in connection with the task and their attitudes towards music and composition were mapped. The result was that all subjects succeeded in composing one or more pieces of music, regardless of which instruction they had been given.

Patientens uppfattning av informationen om preoperativ huddesinfektion

Syfte: Att undersöka hur patienter på ett universitetssjukhus uppfattar information gällande preoperativ dusch samt patientens genomförande av duschen på avdelningen. Introduktion: Vårdrelaterade infektioner är vanliga och kan leda till ökade kostnader, långvarig sjukhusvistelse och ökad lidande för patienter. Ett sätt att förhindra detta är att duscha med klorhexidin före operation. Det är sjuksköterskans ansvar att informera patienten om den preoperativa duschen, kontrollera att patienten uppfattat informationen och har möjlighet och resurser att följa den. Metod: En kvalitativ deskriptiv intervjustudie med semistrukturerade frågor.
