Factors, such as education, income and health are affected by the spatial separation of groups. Residential segregation occurs throughout the city yet the focus often falls on socioeconomically disadvantaged neighbourhoods. These neighbourhoods are portrayed in an unfavorable light and tend to be stigmatized. A well-established approach for policymakers to address these inequalities is through tenure mix policies, with the aim of creating more diverse neighborhoods.
