This work is a literature review along with interviews from nine suckler herds. How to reducecalf mortality in the cow herd is the focus of this paper. To get profitability of a herd, it isimportant that you get a live calf per cow and year. Good fertility of the cows thus is veryimportant. During the years 2007 - 2008, approximately 5.5% of all calves born by beef cowsdied and about 8.5% of the calves born by heifers died.

In this study, I will discuss Hegel?s words on the death of God as they are stated in his Phenomenology of Spirit and Faith and Knowledge. I will present a reading of what I consider to be the two different usages of these words, and relate their meanings to each other. Focus lies on what Hegel refers to as the ?unhappy consciousness? and its experience of a disenchantment of the world, and on Christianity as the answer to this position.

The responsibility to create understanding in a conversation is shared by all participants. By means of different strategies, participants in conversation can construct understanding through collaboration. How these strategies are utilized in conversation where one or more of the participants suffer from dementia is relatively unknown.

Målet med denna studie var att undersöka om hur barnens empatiska förmåga till att utläsa den rätta emotionen från ansiktsuttryck förändras från förskoleålder till mellanstadieålder. Vi testade 24 barn i ca åldern 7 och 24 barn i åldern 11 med ?Reading the mind in the eyes? test. Barnens lärare fick fylla i en frågeformulär för vart och ett av barnen, om barnens sociala kompetens och förmåga till att ta socialt initiativ. Vi tittade även efter möjliga effekter av att ha äldre syskon på barnens förmåga till att utläsa den rätta emotionen från ansiktsuttryck, eftersom andra studier har visat att social kompetens utvecklas snabbare när barn växer upp i en omgivning med äldre syskon.

People with dementia often have difficulties expressing their needs. Untreated pain within this group can be manifested as depression, agitation or loss in appetite. It can be a challenging task for a nurse to estimate, treat and evaluate pain for people with dementia. With good knowledge and an empathic approach, nurses can often recognize and relieve pain amongst these people. In this thesis I try to find ways to be more independent and conscious in my interpretation of the music which I am playing. To be able to be more sure of myself and my own decisions I try to find methods on how to achieve this. The methods includes reading articles about interpretation, interviewing musicians and interpret and perform music. The pieces I have chosen are a solosuite by Max Reger, a concerto by Georg Philipp Telemann and a clarinet sonata by Johannes Brahms. I made some concerts where I try to achieve my goals.
