Students at Jönköping School of Engineering were given an assignment from Jönköping municipality, to evaluate their decision support system, QlikView. The students have also developed proposals for improvement with focus on usability.The Jönköpings municipality has currently got 11000 employees and consists of nine different administrations. I samband med att mellanspänningsnätet kablifieras ökar också kraven vad gäller fellokalisering. För att hålla avbrottstiderna i nätet korta är effektiv felsökning erforderlig. Detta arbete syftar till att kartlägga och redogöra för begränsande faktorer som finns vid fellokalisering med fokus på pulsekometoden. Uppdraget utförs tillsammans med Vattenfall Eldistribution AB.Det har uppdagats problem gällande fellokalisering på mellanspänningskablar med pulsekometoden. Ett flertal faktorer bidrar till denna problematik.

Gambrinus stadssida- Tävling i utformning av centralt attraktiva bostäder Nässjö kommun beslutade att genom en arkitekttävling höja standarden på bostäderna i centrala delarna av staden. Bidragen skulle omfatta 70-90 lägenheter uppdelat på hyres- och bostadsrätter. Tävlingsområdet Gambrinus omfattar 0,8 ha och ligger centralt i Nässjö med sjöutsikt. Nässjö är en förhållandevis ung stad med cirka 16 000 invånare. Syftet har varit att ta fram ett tävlingsbidrag till denna arkitekttävling.

Fogar i industriellt byggande tar allt mer plats och det diskuteras idag omfogar på annorlunda sätt i jmf. med innan när man inte visste vilken betydelse de hade i hela konstruktionen.Idag tar man hänsyn till personer som bor i själva huset och derashälsotillstånd, eftersom det är lika viktigt att vi mår bra i våra hus som att konstruktionen håller längre och det är allra viktigast att vi försöker undvika att använda miljöskadliga material som påverkar vår hälsa och när det gäller fogar att vi undviker PCB som är cancer framkallande. The study examines how social media can be used in a business-to-business context. To understand the communication conditions, factors has been identified that affects the choice of communication channels for different types of information transferred between parts. Furthermore, the study investigates the underlying reasons for why certain communication channels are chosen before others, in different situations. The study results are based on qualitative semi-structured interviews with employees in a small engineering consulting company. The investigation has focused on employee communication and choice of communication tools primarily in relation to the business relationship.

Sammanfattning Fel i programvara (buggar) kostar ofantliga summor varje år. I detta arbete presenteras en metod där programexekveringsmiljön utan vare sig programmerarens eller användarens inblandning utförligt kan rapportera och dölja effekterna av en avsevärd andel buggar. Genom att kompilatorn eller tolken tillåter att en och samma procedur implementeras hur många gånger som helst införs ett helt automatiskt stöd för N-Version Programming (NVP) omedelbart i programspråket. Tekniken gör programvaran feltolerant och blir ett komplement till kostsam och ofta bristfällig testning. En tolk utvecklades för ett programspråk som tillåter multipla definitioner av procedurer. Därmed har det inbyggt stöd för feltolerans genom redundans på procedurnivå. Ett experiment genomfördes där nio programmerare oberoende av varandra implementerade 12 utförligt specificerade procedurer.

The energy that the earth receives from the sun hourly has potential to cover a year?s energy demand in the world. Further, this type of energy is environmentally friendly, natural and free of cost. This report covers solar energy in an urban environment and consists of a case study of installations of photovoltaic cells in a part of the city of Stockholm. It is mainly the economic aspects that are covered but there is also a discussion about the practical consequences and the sustainability as a result of integration of solar energy in an urban environment. The aim of the study is to present results from economic calculations for utilization of solar energy in chosen buildings in Kungsholmen in Stockholm.

Företag investerar idag väldigt mycket pengar på att säkra sina fysiska och logiska tillgångar med hjälp av tekniska skyddsmekanismer. Dock är all säkerhet på något sätt beroende av den enskilde individens omdöme och kunskap. Hur går det avgöra att organisationen kan lita på individens omdöme och kunskap? Hur går det avgöra om en organisation har en god kultur kring säkerhet? Genom att utvärdera säkerhetskulturen kan organisationer få ett utökat underlag i riskhanteringsarbetet samt en bättre förmåga att hantera det som hotar verksamhetens tillgångar. Den forskning som finns idag på området säkerhetskultur är både oense kring vad som utgör god säkerhetskultur men framför allt hur kulturen ska utvärderas.

3D-modelling in AutoCAD This thesis is done in cooperation with LB-Hus in Bromölla, and have aimed to establish a digital AutoCAD model of one of the company?s house types and to find out what opportunities there are to do visualisations in the form of images directly from the programme. Modeling has been carried out so that the very construction of the house is included. Interiors and installations, with the exception of the ventilation system, have been left out in the model. The model has been created with solid models after a comparative study made between solid models and surface models to find out which option in this case was the easiest to handle and took up the least space.

This thesis has been carried out in New Zealand in collaboration with the University of Waikato. In association with Dr. Mike Duke the purpose of this work is to investigate whether two different software for modeling of photovoltaic systems are useful in the teaching of solar energy.The next ten years grid-connected photovoltaic systems are assumed to increase and therefore also a rising demand for people with engineering knowledge are to be predicted. For engineer students with a focus on solar energy a more practical teaching with design software´s can be a good method to make the students comprehend more when it comes to large scale photovoltaic systems and be more prepared for working life.The software´s used is called Transient System Simulation (TRNSYS) and Photovoltaic Systems (PVSYST) which are both well used throughout the world. To assess the reliability of the software´s, a reference solar power plant at 16.1 kWp installed capacity are used, which consists of photovoltaic modules from four different manufacturers.

Syftet med arbetet var att ta reda på om den ökade tidsåtgången som parprogrammeringen leder till uppvägs av de fördelar som den genererar i jämförelse med enskild programmering där arbetet delas mellan två programmerare och sedan integreras. I arbetet presenteras resultatet från en enkätundersökning som sju personer från fyra olika företag i Sverige har besvarat. Samtliga personer som besvarat enkäten har arbetat både med enskild programmering och parprogrammering.
