Det strömmar otroligt stora mängder data genom produktion- och tillverkningssystem. Företag saknar ofta kunskap kring hur denna information skall användas. Data mining är de verktyg som kan användas för att ta reda på den informationen. Genom att upptäcka mönster och relationer i stora mängder data har Data mining gjort det möjligt att finna den kunskap man tidigare inte trodde fanns.

Det råder i dagens läge en hård konkurrens mellan såväl bolag på den inre marknaden som mellan olika regioner. Möjligheten till ökat samarbete mellan bolag från olika EU-länder är en viktig del i att stärka Europas och de europeiska bolagens konkurrenskraftighet, vilket exempelvis kan göras genom gränsöverskridande fusioner. Det tionde bolagsdirektivet är således tänkt att möjliggöra och underlätta sammanslagningar av bolag från olika medlemsländer. Den 13 december 2005 kom det dock en dom från EG-domstolen som i viss mån kan tänkas underminera tanken bakom det tionde bolagsdirektivet. I Sevic Systems-domen, uttalar nämligen EG-domstolen att det ändå, trots att det tionde bolagsdirektivet ej ännu trätt i kraft, är möjligt att genomföra en gränsöverskridande fusion mellan två bolag, även om ett sådant förfarande ej är möjligt enligt de berörda ländernas lagstiftningar.

In this essay I want to investigate how the poodle strategy affects a person?s credibility when he or she uses it. The poodle strategy is a strategy, which someone uses when he or she is scrutinized by the media. It?s primary purpose is to suppress further media coverage but it is also a strategy for defending oneself and hence rescuing one?s reputation either as a private person or as an official.The essay?s research questions are:How has the strategy been applied for defensive purposes and what are the results?To which extent can the Stasis theory and Benoit?s theory on Apologia be connected to the strategy?Does the strategy affect the user?s credibility?To answer these questions four cases from the political sphere in Sweden where persons have been said to have ?done a poodle? have been analyzed.

Det finns dock vissa problem som kan ställa till med besvär när data ska återskapas. När filer inte är lagrade i sammanhängande datablock blir de fragmenterade vilket innebär problem.

The management of information is one of the key aspects within a successful andefficient product development process, particularly regarding complex products.Scania CV AB is at the moment developing a new IT-system, OAS, which aims tomanage the company?s product data. With this as a background, the purpose of thismaster thesis is to identify the cross-functional user needs within Scania?s organizationconcerning product data and the management around it.To fulfill the purpose, an empirical study consisting of 40 personal interviews with 50representatives from different functions within Scania?s organization was carriedthrough. The empirical data was then analyzed focusing on identifying thecross-functional needs and issues.The study points out that there is a big potential regarding improvement among themanagement of product data.

In many industries today, there is a growing emphasis on calculations. They are used to manage and control the activities in today?s organizations, one of these industries is the process industry.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how to use remote sensing data when making a forest management plan. The main focus of the study is to compare different methods to identify forest stands of a forest property, and by manual measures and estimates try to evaluate the quality of interpreting data. This report is based on survey questions sent to five different organizations working with remote sensing data. Only two of these where willing to participate in this investigation. The organizations where asked to analyze the same forest property and divide into compartments and make estimations of volume, basal area etc. in every stand.

This study aims to investigate and describe the direction of the ideological development of the Swedish gymnastics association Gymniska Förbundet. Between 1928 and 1932, this organization transformed from a purely gymnastic and cultural association into an influential platform for the production of Swedish nationalist ideology. Based on theories of National Socialism?s formation within modern society, the analysis focus on the conditions regulating Gymniska Förbundets relation to modernity. Thus the study examines the association?s ideas in relationship to the concept of modernity.

Fortum has in a pilot project installed metering equipment with wireless communication in secondary substations in Stockholm. So far, the collected data are used only in specific projects.This master thesis was carried out at Fortum Distribution AB in Stockholm during 2013. The purpose of this study is to simplify and enhance the use of data in for example network planning process, by giving suggestions on how data can be managed and giving examples of analyzes that collected data can be used for.The electricity meter which Fortum has installed is a EDMI-Mk10A which is set to measure max/average/min values with a one hour time resolution of the following parameters: voltage (per phase), current (per phase) andactive power and active and reactive energy.In order to analyze the collected data an analysis tool is required. During this thesis two customized tools in Microsoft Excel have been developed, one for sorting data and one for analyzing.One aim of the thesis is to show examples of what collected measurement data can be used for. Hemsjukvårdscentralen began its work from Tunåsens Hospital in Uppsala in 1962, with the purpose to give conomic support to people who nursed their chronic sick relatives in home. Hemsjukvårdscentralen ended its work in 1987, and delivered its archive to the County council of Uppsala in 1988. About half of the archive consisted of medical records of the patients who had received economical support, and many of the archival records was considered as ?work papers?, non-archival records that could be discarded. Denna rapport behandlar prestandaskillnader vid överföringar med Ajax och WebSocket, samt webbläsares kompabilitet med WebSocket.Ämnet kändes relevant då fler och fler webbsidor börjar använda sig av dessa tekniker för att hämta och skicka data i realtid.Undersökningen genomfördes genom att en testapplikation skapades där data kunde överföras med respektive teknik, varpå tidsåtgången för överföringen mättes och presenterades.Resultatet visar att WebSocket har klara fördelar mot Ajax när små mängder data överförs, samtidigt som Ajax visade sig vara snabbare vid upprepade överföringar av större mängder data.Undersökningen visade även att stöd för WebSocket saknas i flera webbläsare, varför WebSocket ännu inte är redo att användas fullt ut..

Purpose: The main purpose of the thesis is to examine the consequences of applying IAS40 on the Swedish real estate companies? annual reports. How does its application affect the companies? stockholders? capital and how do the companies solve the problems that occur due to the application of this standard.Method: The authors use both the qualitative and quantitative approaches to process the thesis.
