Konsten att dubbelsända en talkshow: Går det att programleda en talkshow i ett format för både radio och tv-mediet?
Tv och radio behöver ständigt utvecklas och hitta nya vägar att producera program på. I denna uppsats tas just ett sådant förslag fram på hur en utveckling skulle kunna se ut. Så kallade ?dubbelsända? program, att sända samma innehåll i två format samtidigt finns idag i en liten skara. Framförallt handlar det då om direktsända musiktävlingar eller olika morgonshower, men det har inte tidigare producerats någon talkshow där formatet för tv och radio är detsamma.
Kapacitetsberäkningsmodell för materialhanteringsflödet på Ericsson i Kumla
Ericsson?s factory in Kumla, Modules Kumla, became a hub for radio modules and micro base stations, which enables mobile communication through radio base stations, in 2004. Because of this the factory focuses more on the logistics operations. This has led to a need to be able to plan the capacity for the materials handling system. This master thesis has therefore been performed at Modules Kumla to develop a capacity calculation model for the material handling flow during the autumn of 2005.The work has contained a mapping of the material handling flow regarding to which activities was performed and how much time they consumed.
Interaktiva radiotjänster : - en applikation för mobila Androidenheter
The increase in sales of the so called smart phones has meant that there has also been a requirement to determine new applications for which they are suitable. One of the largest platforms for smart phones is Android and the task of this thesis is to develop an application for a company that wishes to create interactive radio for the Internet. In addition to ordinary radio features, the company would like the application to be able to present images and a small web page called Canvas. The overall aim ,of this thesis, is to build a fully functional media player that is compatible with the majority of the commonly used Android based mobile units. To fulfill the overall aim, nine explicit goals were targeted.
Mjukvaruradio-baserad SIMO-demonstrator
Detta examensarbete har genomförts på uppdrag av Totalförsvarets Forskningsinstitut. Examensarbetet är ett av fyra delprojekt i projektet Telekommunikationer för strid i urban miljö. Projektet syftar till att ge förslag på metoder och utrustning som kan underlätta för soldaten på taktiskt nivå, i Försvarsmaktens insatsförband, genom att förbättra informationsinhämtning och -överföring.Syftet med examensarbetet är att i en praktisk demonstration visa nyttan med MIMOsystem antingen genom ökad kapacitet eller genom ökad tillgänglighet.Examensarbetet är uppdelat i tre olika delar: förstudie, utveckling av teknikdemonstrator i hårdvara samt demonstrationer och presentationer. Demonstratorn är byggd medGNU Radio mjukvara, som körs på två Linux-maskiner, med Universal Software Radio Peripheral som RF hårdvara. För att visa fördelarna med MIMO har spatiell diversitet implementerats i en mottagare.Implementationen visar att bitfelshalten reduceras till en tredjedel jämfört med en SISOmottagare..

As with any radio-based communication the signal can be intercepted, thus making the technology vulnerable to several kinds of attacks. Interception of communication is not the only threat. Since RFID tags might contain personal information or information that will grant the owner access to secure areas, skimming and spoofing attacks are also major threats against this technology. This thesis examines how gender is constructed in Dagens Eko (Today?s Echo) to find if and how power structures are expressed language-wise. Queer theory is used to look at how gender is constructed and how one can look at, and question, gender and gender hierarchies.
Optimering av ultraljudssändare- och mottagare avseende räckvidd, strålningsvinkel och energiförbrukning
Embedded Systems Lab at Umeå University is currently part of a research project with the purpose to examine the behavior of dairy cows inside a barn. Each cow needs to be tracked with a precision of 50 cm, and since GPS-technique has poor functionality at indoor environments, an indoor positioning system needs to be developed.Embedded Systems Lab has already developed an indoor positioning system using IR-light and radio, but since this system demands extensive infrastructure and is rather expensive, an alternate positioning system using ultrasonic pulses and radio is being examined.In this report the range, beam angle and current consumption of ultrasonic transmitters- and receivers are investigated. Three different driver stages for the transmitter is tested, and two amplifier solutions for the receiver. The report also describes how the length of the transmitted ultrasonic pulse affects the received signal, accessibility of a ?shadowed? signal, and the effect of different sound frequency..

En klassfråga : Fallstudie av "överklassafarin" i Sveriges Radio
För första gången sedan 1970-talets vänstervåg förekommer klassbegreppet i stor utsträckning på den mediala agendan. Trots begreppets ökade förekomst tycks dess innebörd och relevans idag vara oklar. Ambitionen med denna uppsats är att analysera och diskutera klassbegreppets innebörd och betydelse genom en fallstudie av Sveriges Radios rapportering av den ?överklassafari? som anordnades av den vänsterpolitiska organisationen Allt åt alla i början av 2012. Målet med denna ?safari? var att rasera bilden av Sverige som ett klasslöst land genom att låta allmänheten ta del av en guidad busstur i det välbärgade bostadsområdet Solsidan i Stockholm. Denna händelse fick stor uppmärksamhet och diskuterades på flera håll; inte minst i public service-mediet Sveriges Radio, vars främsta uppgift är att förse allmänheten med värderingsfri samhällsinformation. Med utgångspunkt i detta anspråk granskas begreppets innebörd i Sveriges Radios rapportering, förankrat i klassbegreppets historiska utveckling och med teorier om olika perspektiv på klass som hjälpmedel. Metoden som används är Faircloughs kritiska diskursanalys, där skildrandet av händelsen undersöks i relation till genre och journalistens position. Några entydiga innebörder av klassbegreppet har inte hittats.

GTRS och dess funktioner i Nordic Battlegroup 2011
Denna uppsats behandlar den nya prototypen för radiosystem som tagits fram inom projektet GTRS. Systemet jämförs med det äldre taktiska radiosystemet Radio 180 för att få fram vad som egentligen skiljer mellan dessa. Därefter behandlas Nordic Battlegroup 2011, där det utreds vilka uppgifter förbandet skall klara av och några typfall baserat på uppgifterna. Uppbyggnad och funktion för förbandets sambandssystem beskrivs också där själva kommunikationsnätet från Sverige till missionsområde avhandlas. Även de olika radioapparaterna som nyttjas och deras användningsområde behandlas.

Bortglömda nyheter : En pilotstudie om hågkomsten av nyheterna i Dagens eko kvart i fem
In this essay a pilot study on the memory of Swedish Public Service radio news is presented. 30 subjects participated in the study, which was performed during three days, 18 to 20 of November 2013. The material which formed the basis for the study consisted three newscasts of Sweden's most popular radio newscast ?Dagens eko?, which is broadcasted live at 16.45 every day in the Public Service channels SR P1 and SR P4. The subjects listened to the broadcasts each day, and their memory of them was tested the day after each broadcast.The aim of the thesis is to find out which properties of the audience that affect how much ? and what parts ? of a newscast that the audience remember.
Nya medier, gamla regler : En studie om svenska journalisters förhållningssätt till medieetik på Twitter
The aim of this study was to look into the approach of swedish journalists towards Twitter and how they apply the media ethics when using Twitter.The method for this research was a survey answered by 371 Swedish journalists, from workplaces of various contents and geographical spread, of which 271 were users of Twitter. Our results are based on the survey and theories such as the social responsibility theory, the code of ethics for the Swedish press, radio and television, gatekeeping, normalizing twitter and the private sphere of Habermas.Our results showed that swedish journalists aim to apply the media etics in most aspects such as objectivity and gatekeeping. Also the guidelines of using twitter as a journalist, according to the respondents, mainly comes from the workplace and not the code of ethics. It also showed that the majority of the journalists were pleased with the current guidelines, or the absence of guidelines..
SAMMANS?TTNING AV MAKROALGER I SVENSKA ?LGR?S?NGAR eDNA sp?rning och klimatf?r?ndringar
The aim of my bachelor?s thesis is to investigate, through a literature review, changes in the
distribution of filamentous algae as well as the general species composition of macroalgae
and diatoms in Swedish eelgrass meadows. I have also studied the possibility of tracking
these algae and diatoms in eelgrass meadows using eDNA methodology. The focus has been
on linking these changes to climate change factors such as eutrophication, temperature
increase, and anthropogenic emissions, and how these affect the health of eelgrass meadows
and their ecosystem services, such as a carbon sink and biodiversity support.
The results show that filamentous algae have increased markedly in coverage in Swedish
coastal areas between 1980 and 2021, especially in sheltered bays, indicating that altered
environmental conditions favor these fast-growing species. Genetic tracking using eDNA
demonstrated that there are functional primers for many species, particularly among brown
algae and red algae, whereas green algae require more specific primers due to greater genetic
variation.
