Sambandet mellan sjÀlvkÀnsla och mentalt vÀlbefinnande hos butiksanstÀllda
Feministiskt initiativ Àr ett nytt parti som liksom mycket annat har skildrats av media. Syftet med den hÀr kvalitativa studien Àr att studera vad media har berÀttat om Fi, utifrÄn en kritisk diskursanalys och socialkonstruktionistisk grund vill vi studera vilka diskurser som media, i vÄrt fall tidningsartiklar frÄn de stora rikstidningarna, förmedlar om partiet Feministiskt initiativ. De tidningar som vi hÀmtat artiklar ifrÄn har varit Aftonbladet, Svenska Dagbladet, Dagens Nyheter, Metro och Expressen och utgjort grund för empirin. Igenom vÄr analys hittar vi olika mönster och teman, dÀribland tre framstÄende diskurser: kampdiskursen, ledardiskursen samt jÀmstÀlldhetsdiskursen. Dessa gÄr in och fogas pÄ olika sÀtt för Fis framtrÀdande i medias texter.
Identitet, modernitet och Twitter : Hur sociala Àr egentligen sociala medier?
Social media on the internet allows both public and private actors to communicate with each other. The aim of this qualitative study is to explore the relationship between the public and the private in social media on the internet, specifically with emphasis on the identities which are shaped in this relationship. The social media explored in this study is the micro blog Twitter. Data was collected from the pages of three public and private actors on Twitter, specifically with concern to their interaction with public and/or private actors. The data was analysed with support in sociological theories on modernity, identity, self-identity, socialisation and Erving Goffman's theories on everyday expression.
Folkbibliotek och TV-spelande ungdomar en studie i bibliotekariers attityder och vÀrderingar nÀr det gÀller ett nytt medium pÄ biblioteket
The aim of this Masters thesis is to examine librarians attitudes and values when it comes to the question if a new media, video games, should be introduced at the library or not. Video games are here seen as media primarily for youths. In our study we also wanted to study the discussions of quality and purchase, when computer games were introduced at the library. In order to answer our questions we conducted nine interviews with librarians working with children and youths, in eight libraries. By analysing their statements, using Maj Klassons theory where she defines the librarians role in three different strategies, we could demonstrate how the librarians reason when it comes to video and computer games, youths, quality and purchase.
FörstÄelse för och attityder till matematik
Studiens syfte Àr dels att undersöka vilken förstÄelse för matematik ur ett samhÀllsperspektiv som elever pÄ en mellansvensk kommunal gymnasieskola har, utifrÄn den beskrivning av Àmnet som finns i de svenska styrdokumenten. Syftet Àr ocksÄ att undersöka vilken instÀllning till Àmnet eleverna har, hur attityden pÄverkas av vÀnner och familj, samt vilken betydelse media har i synen pÄ matematik.Studien bygger pÄ en enkÀtundersökning dÀr 130 respondenters svar har behandlats. GenomgÄende i analysen har gruppen med elever som lÀser ett yrkesinriktat program jÀmförts med de elever som studerar pÄ ett mer teoretiskt inriktat program.Resulatet visar att elevernas förstÄelse för matematikens roll i samhÀllet Àr fullt acceptabel, men att det Àr fÄ som nÄtt ett fördjuad insikt. En klar majoritet anser att de förstÄr syftet med matematikundervisningen.Trots att en dryg trejedel tycker att matematik Àr det viktigaste Àmnet sÄ finner cirka hÀlften inget intresse för Àmnet. En sjundedel sÀger sig t.o.m.
Public service och sociala medier : En studie om hur redaktionerna pa? Morgonpasset i P3 och P3morgen anva?nder sociala medier som arbetsverktyg
The purpose of this study is to examine how the editorial staff from the Swedish radio program Morgonpasset i P3 and the Norwegian radio program P3morgen uses Facebook and Twitter and how they can use social media as a tool in the production. The purpose is also to examine how active both of the editorial staff are on Facebook and Twitter and which kind of language they use on Facebook and Twitter. The radio programs both work under a lot of similar conditions and are both controlled by public service in both countries. To conduct the study qualitative interviews was performed with the web editor Christoffer Malm from Morgonpasset i P3 and the radio presenter Silje Nordnes from P3morgen in combination with a quantitative content analysis. The study was conducted over a limited period of the autumn of 2013.

The following theories has been used to reach the objective: the journalism task, news values, the liberty of press and speach, media ethical rules and discursive discrimination. The study has used a critical discourse method formed by Teun a. van Dijk to analyse the material, mainly through macro- and microstructures.

Regarding death in youth movies,analysis of Hunger Games and I Miss You  Today, death is not as present in our everyday life as it was before when everyone knew how death both looked and smelled. This means that media today has a different role and that media can help their viewers to mourn and become aware of death in a completely different way. In this study, death is analyzed as an representation; how it affects and is experienced in two selected youth films, The Hunger Games, (Gary Ross, 2012) and Jag saknar dig/I Miss You (Anders Grönros, 2011).Previous studies mostly analysis death as a figure, and in accordance with these studies have concentrated on different physical descriptions of death; often about diseases or how death is portrayed in the news. In my opinion, these studies lack the perspective of how death is presented, but also how young people respond to these deceptions of death. This essay highlight different perspectives and show more of how death occurs, how the cinematic look is described and how young people react to what is happening on the screen.

The purpose of this study is to study the Swedish Tax information campaigns in 2010-2012. Questions about what worked better than others, and what impact this has had has been set up. The study shows that work has essentially divorced by 2011,worked with a significant amount of local material. This work had an impact on mass media published locally in newspapers. This work fits well with research in the area showing that messages should be tailored to the target audience and capture the target group's interest.

The technological progress of the world has had a massive effect on how we communicate with one and other, it also has had an big impact on how companies communicate with their customers and consumers. Today you cannot only communicate a ?promise to your costumers and consumers you also have to ?deliver? what it is you promise. Strategic communication is today not only to market your product but to ensure that your strategic communication is shown even in you innovation, design and product development. This thesis is conducted in collaboration with No Picnic AB.The purpose of this study was to get an insight in how Swedish companies use their strategic communication. We aim on bringing a new point of view of strategic communication with innovation, design and product development also as a communication channel.

Kamphunden - avlad för att döda? : En kritisk diskursanalys av tidningars framstÀllning av Àmnet kamphundar
Kamphunden har figurerat i media under de senaste 15-20 Ären. Denna studie undersöker hur medias framstÀllning av kamphunden har förÀndrats över tid, med Ären 1999 och 2013 i fokus. Slutsatsen utifrÄn studien Àr att begreppet kamphundar framstÀlls negativt i tidningsartiklar, men att det sakta hÄller pÄ att förÀndras. Detta Àr dock en vÀldigt trög förÀndring. Den negativa framstÀllningen av kamphundar i media pÄverkar samhÀllets syn pÄ dessa hundar, och i förlÀngningen Àven individers beteende kring dessa hundar.
Vad kommunicerar patienter till sina terapeuter i internetbehandling för depressiva symtom och har detta betydelse för behandlingsutfallet?
I dag lider ca 25-35 % av skolungdomar av psykisk ohĂ€lsa. Tidigare forskning har visat att denna ohĂ€lsa beror pĂ„ att ungdomar sover alltför lite, vilket i sin tur associerats till en ökad anvĂ€ndning av sociala media. Orsakssambanden Ă€r emellertid oklara och varierar mellan studier. Av den anledningen genomfördes en enkĂ€tstudie pĂ„ gymnasielever, för att ytterligare belysa hur sambanden ser hos svenska ungdomar.I undersökningen anvĂ€ndes tvĂ„ frĂ„geformulĂ€r bestĂ„ende av en reducerad version av KASAM, ett sömnformulĂ€r, samt frĂ„gor angĂ„ende sociala media.I studien deltog 51 elever (M: 18.0 Ă„r, SD 0.35), varav 22 kvinnliga och 28 manliga elever i Ă
K 3. Resultatet visade att cirka hÀlften av eleverna (49 %) ansÄg sig sova signifikant kortare tid Àn vad de önskade (p<0.0001).
Idealiserad och exponerad : Bilders effekt pÄ unga vuxnas kroppsliga sjÀlvbild
I tidigare forskning visas ett samband mellan framstÀllningen av kvinnor i media och kvinnors sjÀlvbildsuppfattning. Studier har Àven gjorts med fokus pÄ mÀn dÀr ett samband mellan media och mÀns sjÀlvbild visas. Studien avser undersöka om det finns ett samband mellan medias framstÀllning av ideala modeller och unga vuxnas syn pÄ kroppslig sjÀlvbild, samt hur mediaanvÀndning skiljer sig mellan könen och om anvÀndningen har en effekt pÄ kroppslig sjÀlvbild. En enkÀtundersökning med 90 deltagare (43 kvinnor och 47 mÀn) i Älder 18-30 utfördes. Deltagarna fick fylla i en internetenkÀt med antingen ideala bilder, alldagliga bilder eller en enkÀt utan bilder.

The analysis focused on four themes: 1) framing in the articles, 2) impersonation in the articles, 3) the democratic task of journalism and 4) the expectations of journalism in an election campaign.Main results: The main results showed that the difference between the two parties either was nonexistent or very small. The articles were sometimes framed in specific ways, but a big amount of the articles were not framed. Impersonation occurred in about half of the cases, concerning both parties.
