Den första stenåldersboplatsen som kvartsen dominerade, både till antalet och till vikt, hittades vid Hjälmsjöns strand.Uppsatsen kommer att behandla denna plats. AbstractFor this exam paper, I have chosen to delve into the life of Lucius Licinius Lucullus, the famous Roman general and statesman of the 1st century BC. Widely regarded as a glutton and degenerate, I will try to examine if these claims are true or completely exaggerated. My research will be based on the works of Plutarch, the great Greek scholar and biographer, who's our main source of knowledge regarding the life of Lucullus. Furthermore, I will examine two of Lucullus's main interests ? his love for villa gardens and culinary delights ? to see in what way they have contributed to the common picture of him as a sybarite.

Den här uppsatsen har för avsikt att göra en kvalitativ undersökning av hur arkeologer och arkeologi presenteras i filmer och på tv för att sedan jämföra detta med hur yrkesverksamma arkeologer själva ser på sig och sitt ämne. För detta ändamål har jag tittat igenom ett antal filmer, dokumentärer, tv-serier samt tittat på Internet och gjort intervjuer. Jag kom fram till attdet finns tre huvudtyper av arkeologer på tv/film: actionarkeologer, normalarkeologer och akademikerarkeologer. Av dessa stämmer normalarkeologerna med hur arkeologerna själva beskriver sig. Ämnet arkeologi visas antingen som ren artefaktkunskap, primärt i filmer, eller som en nästan exakt vetenskap, primärt i dokumentärer..

The purpose of this paper is to explore the female experience as it is spoken of in the novel Sindhia written by Rut Hillarp (1954) and how the main character in the book violates the experience from a queer perspective. My aim is to through a close reading highlight a number of discourses that underpin the book's imminent theme of love and submission.According to Norman Faircloughs critical-discourse analysis, the text one reads produces a certain amount of discourses that one consumes. This way there is a dialectical interaction that can be set into a practical analysis together with a suitable academic perspective. This is the method I use in this thesis.The academic perspective I add isJudith Butler's queer theoriessupported by Michel Foucaults social genealogyin order to understand/analyze the woman?s position in relation to a social empirical history.I came to the conclusion that Sindhia produces the woman's discourse from an ancient biblical/ mythological time up to modern time.

Due to the Danish kings? engagements on the British Isles, the early town of Lund, was influenced by English and Anglo Saxon traditions, architecture and technology. The main aim of this essay is to find out in what ways, and most importantly how this can be seen in the archaeological material, and how it changes over time. Within a framework of historical sources, archaeological finds like excavated stave and stone churches, cemeteries, pottery, and everyday personal objects, both English immigrants and English influence is found. The problem of the English origin of the palisade wall technique is discussed, as is early Lund as a Viking age town.

This essay is dealing with the question of the possibility for a non archaeologist to learn something about the Scandinavian Bronze Age by reading novels taking place in the specific period. I have studied novels written by Scandinavian writers between 1980 and present. Before I started I constructed nine different categories that I was to look for in the novels. The categories were constructed in the aim to get as a complete picture as possible of the Bronze Age society. The results were then compared to archaeological evident and theories and discussed in terms of this connection.
