The study of the French market for softwood has been done in collaboration with VIDA AB. The aim of the study was to investigate important product quality and service quality dimensions, the customers? perception of the offering and generally describe the French market and present actors. The market for softwood around the world changes over time and new markets can mean opportunities for the sawmilling industry. The French market is the second biggest European market for softwood, has had presence of actors with sourcing of raw material from the Nordic countries for decades and there is a growing interest for building with wood. Theory being used is about the different dimensions that make up the total quality of softwood, together with intangible dimensions making up the total offering that helps the sawmilling industry to create positive perceived value for the customers. Methodological approach in the study was a case study research design, aimed at providing knowledge about one specific subject in one context. The general description was mostly carried out by literature studies and data from various statistics sources.

Syfte: Syftet med vår studie är att skapa klarhet i vad det nya direktivet MiFID innebär, och vilken roll den utgör för harmoniseringen av den Europeiska finansiella marknaden. Vi vill även belysa vad de olika aktörer i den finansiella marknaden anser om harmoniseringen och vilken inställning de har till de olika delarna i MiFID direktivet.Metod: Vi har efter en noggrann selektering låtit: Aktiespararna,Fondhandlarföreningen och Finansinspektionen representera den svenskaFinnansmarknaden. Det är utifrån dessa tre parter vårt empiriska intag av hur harmoniseringen i samband med MiFID, samt hur direktivet i sig uppfattas på den svenska finansiella marknaden har fastställts. Vi har tagit del av artiklar, undersökningar och remissvar som har framtagits inom de tre grupperna för att skapa en förståelse angående deras åsikter och ställningstaganden vad gäller MiFID. Vi har även utfört intervjuer med de tre grupperna vidare presenterar vi vissa redan existerande teorier för en välfungerande finansiell marknad samthur harmoniseringen har fungerat inom tidigare områden.Resultat & slutsats: Alla aktörerna är positivt inställda till harmoniseringen och direktivet i stort, likväl framhävs många detaljer som står till hinder för att ambitionen om den enade finansiella marknaden skall kunna bli verklig under överskådlig tid.Andra slutsatser är att kostnaderna i samband med införandet av MiFID tros drabba värdepappersinstitutionerna hårdast, och förmodligen blir det investerarna som får bära kostnaderna i slutändan.

However, by investing abroad the company is not only facing and dealing with cultural differences and new regulatory framework, but also becomes dependent on decisions and actions of different and to large extend unknown government. Empirical material has been collected through semi-structured interviews with all the divisional managers. An extensive analysis of literature and research connected to Talent Management and tools for retention and development has formed the basis of the theoretical framework.Result and Conclusion: The conclusions we have drawn from this study is that to succeed with Talent Management, and the strategies that are in place to retain and develop employees, there must be an integral and comprehensive approach where business strategy and vision also permeates personnel strategy.

Farmers Cooperative has in recent years developed from national markets to cross-border, international, collaborations. One example is the merger between the Swedish dairy company Arla and Danish MD Foods, where the companies collectively are sought to reduce transaction costs and thus improve efficiency. The Swedish market for commodities (fertilizers and pesticides) in agriculture has for many years been dominated by a few large players, with little opportunity for grain associations and local grain companies to offer their customers a varied range of commodities with a competitive pricing.To change this state, a majority of Swedish and Danish grain associations and local grain companies have established a trans-national cooperation. Through the establishment of the organization DLA Agro, they offer their customers a good variety of products with competitive prices. This study investigates thus according to the theory of cooperative models to what extent and how the DLA Agro helps to create benefits for the Swedish member companies.

The distribution problem due to these regulations is solved by the foreign assembly department, KD, at Scania. To study and examine the work methods and operations of today and also to present methods measuring the operations effectiveness and productivity.We have used the system approach to maintain totality and to understand the component's relation to this totality. Field studies combined with studies of relevant literature and studies of other companies operations have given us the knowledge and the understanding of the packing operations needed.

Men ofta sker detta på bekostnad av en långsiktigt hållbar strategisk position.I uppsatsen har vi uppmärksammat; vikten av strategiska investeringar, företagskulturens roll i investeringsprocessen, vikten av att delaktighet och ansvarskänsla förmedlas till individuella aktörer i investeringsprocessen, faran med en övertro på finansiella mått, risken att investeringsprocessen tappar verklighetsanknytning, samt vikten av att beslutsunderlaget balanseras upp av icke-finansiella mått.SCA som gammalt traditionellt industriföretag är intressant att undersöka eftersom de har en väl utarbetad och gedigen investeringsprocess. Durban, South Africa?s third-largest city is a socially segregated post apartheid society, struggling with high unemployment and AIDS. The city becomes even more complex with a changing climate, creating an influx of people to the city, putting scarce resources under further stress. Warwick Junction, an important transport hub in the centre of Durban, holds a large site of informal trading alongside the formal markets. This informal sector generates large financial flows and provides for a rapidly growing population. The aim of this thesis is to develop an approach that is realistic and relevant to planning and design of an urban context in South Africa.

Today we are living in a time were impulses from other places and cultures constantly grow and the contact over the boundary is getting bigger. We se satellites pictures over the world, we hear about worldwide ecological problems, we learn about other different lifestyles, we cock food that are inspired from the worlds many kitchens, we shop more and we can travel to different parts of the world. My problem was to find out how cultural phenomenon spreads to a greater extent global and how this transference take place, but also be able to se what factors that has a part in the cultural spread.What I found with help from my literature study was that trough improved communication and transports has gained mobility in the world and people can take part off others culture.The world is shrinking and this means that human beings identity is changing and this create a so-called hybrid mixture. Culture is what we human beings create. Culture can be seen as a community phenomenon for the most parts.
