Människors upplevelser av fatigue vid kronisk sjukdom: en litteraturstudie
Vid kronisk sjukdom förändras livet ofta på ett dramatiskt sätt. Fati-gue är ett av de vanligaste symtomen som personer med kroniska sjukdomar upplever. Fatigue kan beskrivas som ett subjektivt obe-hagligt symtom som kan innefatta total kroppslig upplevelse med allt från trötthet till utmattning, detta skapar ett opålitligt tillstånd som påverkar individens förmåga till normal kapacitet. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva människors upplevelser av att leva med fatigue vid kronisk sjukdom. Nio kvalitativa artiklar analysera-des med kvalitativ manifest innehållsanalys och resulterade i fyra ka-tegorier: tröttheten påverkar hela kroppen, det sociala livet begrän-sas, beroendet ökar men hoppet finns kvar och fatigue uppstår av oli-ka anledningar och fluktuerar så egenvården måste skräddarsys.
Compassion fatigue : När empation tar slut för sjuksköterskor
Bakgrund: En genomgång av aktuellt kunskapsläge visar att sjuksköterskor har en risk att utveckla compassion fatiguepå grund av sitt empatiska engagemang gentemot patienterna. Compassion fatigueär då en person som konsekvens av sitt empatiska engagemang gentemot en patient blir emotionellt utmattad. Syfte:Syftet med denna studie är att belysa riskfaktorer för sjuksköterskor att drabbas av compassion fatiguesamt för att undvika detta tillstånd. Metod:En litteraturstudie gjordes med både kvalitativ och kvantitativ forskning. Resultatet analyserades och sammanfattades.

Påverkan av fatigue och smärta hos vuxna personer med reumatoid artrit
Bakgrund: reumatoid artrit eller kronisk ledgångsreumatism, är en sjukdom som styrs av immunologiska reaktioner som orsakar leddestruktion med symtom som ledstelhet, trötthet, allmän sjukdomskänsla samt smärta. Enligt tidigare forskning har speciellt fatigue och smärta rapporterats vara de största konsekvenserna av sjukdomen. Syfte: syftet med litteraturstudien var att belysa hur vuxna personer med reumatoid artrit påverkas av smärta och fatigue. Metod: metoden för litteraturstudien inspirerades utifrån sju steg beskrivna av Willman m fl (2011) för att finna och bedöma relevant vetenskaplig litteratur. Sökningar gjordes i PubMed och Cinahl och efter granskning valdes tio vetenskapliga artiklar ut för vidare analys.

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease can limit patients physical abilities and contribute to social isolation. The purpose of this literature study is to investigate men's and women's experiences of living with chronic obstructive pulmonary dis-ease, and the supporting and guiding role of the nurse to an increased quality of life. 13 critical reviewed articles were used to find the answers to our questions. Quality rating forms were used in order to guarantee a good scientific quality. The results show that, it is of great importance for the COPD-patients well-being to experience social support from those around them, and to have a close relation-ship with their families and friends, in order to experience quality of life.

Theidea throughout the work has been to primarily help bridge designers compilingadvice and instructions on how fatigue verification for railway bridges in reinforcedconcrete shall be performed under the new rules, the Eurocodes.After the introduction of the Eurocodes in 2011 has major problems emerged amongdesigners around Sweden. In some areas, it differs in the calculation rules comparedwith rules from the Swedish Transport Administration and the National Board ofHousing, Building and Planning calculation. Fatigue verification is one area where thenew calculation rules are different from the past.A large part of the report has been to interpret and find the relevant information inthe Eurocodes concerning fatigue. When questions or doubts have surfaced, this hasbeen discussed with Elisabeth Helsing at the Swedish Transport Administration andbridge designers at Ramboll.The result is a report where the structure is organized in the way that the bridgedesigners can move from cover to cover and realize that fatigue verification in realityfollows the same order as the report's sections.

Chemotherapy is one of the most important methods of treatment available today for the treatment of neoplastic diseases and gives many patients an increased quality of life and a prolonged survival time (McKnight, 2003). The object of this study was to find out more about owners? views on and experiences of chemotherapy of dogs when it comes to for example quality of life, side effects and if they would make the same decision and treats their dog again in the future. A questionnaire was in the spring of 2009 sent out to the owners of 100 dogs that had been treated with chemotherapy for neoplastic diseases at Universitetsdjursjukhuset, Sveriges Lantbruksuniversitet (SLU) in Uppsala between 2002 and 2008. The response rate was 67 %.

Despitethis fact there is no research available regarding the influence social support hason health and quality of life for people with intellectual disabilities in Sweden.Aim: To describe social support and the consequence of social support forhealth and quality of life for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Method:A litterature review of research in a defined area with a descriptive design.Systematic searches for articles were done in several databases and ultimately16 articles were chosen. Themes and categories were created with respect to theaim of this study during the analysis of the articles.

Aim: The aim is to elucidate the patient's experiences of pain at venous leg ulcer and the effects on their daily life. Method: The procedure has been a systematic literature overview with a systematic search in different databases. The search resulted in nine scientific articles.

Social support is important for adults well-being, quality of life and self-esteem. The nurse should respond to the patient's care needs, knowledge of social support for young people with chronic diseases is therefore important. The purpose was to investigate who or which ones provide social support for young people with chronic diseases and what social support contributes to. A descriptiv design where used. The literature search in the database Medline via Cinahl resulted in twelwe articles.
Empati och känslomässiga upplevelser i mötet med asylsökande patienter
The population of asylum seekers puts new challenges on the Swedish health care since their difficulties are complex; having both atraumatic background and a continuing worry about the asylum process.This study aims at investigating how health care professionals working with asylum seekers are affected emotionally using the theoretical concepts of empathy, compassion fatigue and compassion satisfaction. Nine qualitative interviews with health care professionals were conducted and the material was analyse dusing thematic analysis. Results were deductively found in thematerial, using the asylum process itself along with the concepts of empathy, compassion fatigue and compassion satisfaction as themes. Previous findings regarding empathy and its relations to compassion fatigue and compassion satisfaction were confirmed. This was furhter developed in this study through its focus on health care professionals working with asylum seekers..
Preoperativ SWAL-QOL och sväljningsfunktion hos Parkinson patienter selekterade till Deep Brain Stimulation
AbstractObjectivePatients with Parkinson?s disease often have symptoms of dysphagia. These swallowingproblems have consequences for quality of life as well for the physical wellbeing of thepatients. AimThe aim of this study was to describe and correlate Swallowing Quality of Life (SWAL-QOL)scores, self-assessment of swallowing function using a visual analogue scale and the resultsfrom a fiber endoscopic evaluation of swallowing function in patients who had been selectedfor Deep Brain Stimulation in caudal zona incerta. A secondary aim was to correlate diseaseduration with results from SWAL-QOL and the fiber endoscopic evaluation of swallowingfunction.MethodTen male Parkinson?s patients (age 45-69 yrs, median 61.5 yrs) who were selected for DeepBrain Stimulation completing the Swallowing Quality of life form, as well as rating theirswallowing function using a visual analogue scale and undergoing a fiber endoscopicevaluation of their swallowing function. ResultsThe median total SWAL-QOL score was 94% while the mean was 91%.
Fatigue hos patienter med cancerdiagnos som har genomgått ett onkologiskt rehabiliteringsprogram
BakgrundFatigue är ett begrepp som beskriver trötthet som påverkar den drabbades dagliga liv negativt. I samband med en cancerbehandling drabbas i stort sett alla patienter av fatigue i olika grad. När sedan behandlingen är slutförd kvarstår problemet med trötthet, och behov finns av rehabilitering som syftar till att patienten ska återgå till en normal nivå av trötthet. Antalet patienter som överlever sin cancerbehandling ökar och då även deras behov av rehabilitering. Därför är det viktigt att utvärdera den cancerrehabilitering som bedrivs idag.SyfteAtt beskriva hur fatigue förändras hos patienter som genomgått cancerrehabilitering.MetodPatienter som deltagit i ett program för cancerrehabilitering har fått fylla i ett formulär som mäter nivån av fatigue.
