The purpose of this essay is to explore the significance for former drug addicts who, during their treatment against drug abuse, have had a therapist with a drug addiction in his or her past. A qualitative case study has been used as method in which four former drug users have been interviewed. We have compiled the results based on five key themes in order to get a comprehensive picture of the relevance of common experiences regarding drug abuse, based on former addicts? experiences. This has been done in connection with a review of different theoretical perspectives that we have found relevant to the investigation. Our findings have then been compared with previous research in the field.

This study is about female leadership. The purpose was to gain a better insight to qualities female managers in public sector assume they need to make an enjoyable leadership. We were also interested in finding out what they think is the joy and amusement in the leadership and how they consider responsibility and authority. We used a qualitative method interviewing female leaders at their work. In our analysis of the data we have looked for pattern and key words in a qualitative way.

Denna rapport handlar om den kristna gudsbilden. Kristendomen har en monoteistisk gudsbild men sammanfogar den till den treeniga bilden Gud Fader, Jesus Kristus och den helige Anden.Rapporten vill visa att nutidens människor brottas med samma problem som urkyrkans medlemmar. Nämligen frågan om att de tre delarna är en sammanhängande bild av en enda helhet, som är Gud.Till att börja med innehåller rapporten en genomomgång av urkyrkans, högmedeltidens och reformationens olika problem med gudsbilden. Dagens gudsbild presenteras utifrån biskop Lennart Koskinens personliga vinkel.Därefter följer ett kapitel om livsåskådningsundersökningar som har genomförts både i Europa och i Sverige under slutet av 1900-talet. I dessa har jag främst tagit del av det som handlar om nutidsmänniskans gudsbild i ett samhälle som blir allt mera sekulariserat.Slutligen har jag genomfört en enkätundersökning bland vuxenstuderande vid Mjölby komvux.

Background to problem: Pensions play a big role in people's lives when life expectancy continues to increase. Companies can choose different ways of reporting their pension plans, and within the defined benefit pension plan poses the actuarial gains and losses that can be reported based on three different methods. Only one method will exist from 2013, how will the companies that use the other two handle the new situation?Purpose: Investigate why different companies have chosen to report its actuarial gains and losses along the corridor approach, directly against income or directly in equity. How will the companies that use the corridor method manage the situation when it will only be allowed to report in other comprehensive income as of 2013 and how will this affect them.Methodology: Data was collected through qualitative questionnaires sent to companies listed on Nasdaq OMX Nordic Stockholm, Large Cap and Mid Cap, and a qualitative interview.

De medialt uppmärksammade miljonprogramsområdena runt om i landet har lyfts fram som det segregerade Sverige, ett välfärdssamhälles baksida. Dessa områden får ofta dras med namnet problemområde där utanförskap och fattigdom är beskrivande ord.Boendesegregation är idag ett vanligt problem i våra svenska städer och det är inte allt för sällan som invånarna i dessa områden får stå som orsaken till detta. Denna rapport är en studie vilken behandlar segregation i Sverige och då främst boendesegregation i Södertäljestadsdelen Hovsjö.Under de senaste årtiondena har befolkningen i Hovsjö bytts ut och idag har nästan 80 procent av invånarna invandrarbakgrund. Stadsdelen har en femtioprocentig arbetslöshet, en stor andel socialbidragstagare och har under en längre tid haft problem med kriminalitet. Den negativa mediala uppmärksamhet som Hovsjö har dragits med under åren har gjort att invånarna många gånger förlorat tron på sig själva och sitt område.Det finns ett antal metoder som använts i Sveriges kommuner när det gäller problemområden.

This essay is a case study of how two non-profit organizations, in the same line of business work with external communication and new media such as Internet and social media (Facebook and Twitter).Both these organizations are located in different countries and the purpose of the case study is also to find out if the differences in their work methods in communication depend on organizational or cultural differences. The case study was conducted in the organizations Sverige Amerika Centret in Karlstad, Sweden and The Swedish Council of America in Minneapolis, US. A qualitative approach executed through interviews and a qualitative content analysis of the organizations annual report from 2010. The result of the interviews and the document content analysis shows that there are differences in the way these organizations handle their work with external communications and new media. The purpose of this review was to investigate in scientific literature what impact clinical supervision actually contains from the perspective of the working conditions for nursingstaff. Goodman formed the working process in our review and is based on a systematic scrutiny and analysis of ten scientific articles inspired of evidencebased method. Willman & Stoltz and Pearson's FAME scale was used sifting through evidence of the articles.The result has been divided thematic in professional development, personal development, development of knowledge, communicationskills, feeling of fellowship, working environment and the patientinteraction. The conclusion of the evidens grading (A-D), in the quantitative results, showed no evidens (D). The qualitative articles was graded (1-5) through the concepts Feasibility, Appropriatness, Meaningfulness and Effectiveness.

The aim of the study is to examine a book used as level-based teaching material, Denmagiska kulan (Wänblad, 2011), to analyse the progression within and between thedifferent levels, A, B and C, intended for use in grade 1. The material is designed so thatpupils at different levels in their reading development can share the same literature.Another aim is to study the connection between illustrations and text. This literaturestudy is based on both a qualitative and a quantitative method of analysis. Thequalitative method applies a readability analysis with the focus on the graphic form andthe language of the text. The quantitative method measures the LIX (readability index)of the texts.

A tough working climate and the lack of extrinsic motivation at workplaces within health care raise the question of what instead drives employees within this industry. A possible answer to this is Public Service Motivation (PSM) - a type of motivation that is based on the desire to do good for society and its individuals. In order to investigate this further we have performed a qualitative study consisting of ten interviews with people working with institutional care, where the purpose has been to identify the sources of motivation and determine the impact of PSM. The results show that the compassion dimension of PSM appears to be one of the most salient motivational factors. While the rest of the PSM dimensions fail to explain the level of motivation to the same extent as compassion, other factors are recognized, such as relatedness and aspects of the nature of the work itself.

In 2005 over 48 000 senior citizens fell so badly that the needed medical care and almost 1200 of them died. This makes falls in the elderly one of our biggest public health problems. Research in this area is extensive and although we know what causes a fall and how we in theory should work to prevent their occurrence, this is a problem that is increasing. There seems to be a gap between research and practice, and research into why this gap occurs is very narrow. The purpose of this study was to identify success factors with fall prevention from a staff- perspective.

Denna rapport syftar att undersöka de risker och konsekvenser som uppstår för samhället och närområdet vid en brand i yttre bränslehantering hos Smurfit Kappa Kraftliner i Piteå. Yttre bränsle i denna rapport syftar på biobränsle, bark, flis, returpapper och massaved. Vid en brand bildas en mängd olika ämnen och partiklar, styrt av temperatur och vilket material som brinner. Om dessa brandgaser sprids över bebodda områden är det av stor vikt att veta omfattningen av de risker och eventuella skador som lokalbefolkningen utsätts för. De rådande väderförhållanden är en stor faktor för spridningens omfattning.Ett företag i Sverige är enligt lag skyldigt att ha ett adekvat säkerhetsarbete och själva kunna hantera de risker som de själva medför.

Denna rapport analyserar flera aspekter kring avståndsmätning med optisk triangulering, speciellt då ljuskällan ger en relativt bred ljusstråle. Vid optisk triangulering mäts avståndet genom att belysa scenen med ljusstrålar som bildar ljusfläckar där de träffar. Genom att betrakta scenen med en CCD-kamera förskjuten ifrån ljuskällan går det att beräkna avståndet till dessa ljusfläckar. Huvudsyftet är att undersöka möjligheterna att bygga en billig och robust avståndsmätare som skall kunna användas utomhus på en mobil robotplatform. Grundläggande principer såväl som teoretiska modeller beskrivs och analyseras.

I januari 2008 ingick Vägverket ett avtal med Hochtief-Oden-Tunnelling, ett konsortium bestående av det tyska företaget Hoechtief Counstruction Ag samt den Svenska aktören Oden Anläggningsentreprenad AB. Entreprenaden avsåg byggandet av Norra Länken etapp 51 betongtunnel Värtan.Byggandet av NL 51 har fram till juni 2010 omfattat moment som grundläggning, väg- och betongarbeten, schaktning och därmed även provisoriska stödkonstruktioner. I mars 2009 upprättades en provisorisk spontvägg i anslutning till betongtunneln. Vi har i denna rapport undersökt lasteffekterna på sponten utifrån två metoder, analytisk samt numerisk beräkning.
