The aim of this study was to describe home care personnel and their experiences in palliative care. The design was qualitative and data were collected through interviews. Five home care personnel were interviewed, all women, whom have experience of palliative home care.The material was then analysed with qualitative content analysis and eight main categories, derived from experiences of home care personnel, were identified: relationship, safety, quality of care, a better end-of-life, routine, information, knowledge and competence, and work environment. The result showed that all participants of this study identified themselves as family members of the patients whom they had cared for during a long period of time. Additionally, the participants were emotionally touched when the patient died.The majority experienced that the patients do receive good care in their homes.

The aim of this qualitative study was to investigate the social identity of students at upper secondary school for physically disabled students. The youths I drew my attention to suffered from severe physical disabilities and therefore received specially adapted education in small classes, but integrated at an ordinary upper secondary school.By "social identity" I mean how the students view themselves as a group, how they value their membership of the group and how they relate to non-disabled students at school. I wanted to investigate the connections between these students' social identity and the problems of marginalization of disabled people in society.According to qualitative methods I interviewed five physically disabled students, aged 18-19, at upper secondary school level taking part of especially adapted education. The study showed that these students regarded themselves as a segregated group at school. None of them associated with non-disabled students at school.

Jag har gjort en undersökning om hur intresset för skolkörer ser ut på högstadieskolorna i Malmö. Jag valde att göra både en kvantitativ och en kvalitativ undersökning. Den kvantitativa undersökningen bestod utav enkäter och den kvalitativa undersökningen bestod utav intervjuer av två personer. Tyvärr är det mer än hälften av alla högstadieskolor i Malmö som inte har en skolkör även om intresset verkar finnas hos elever, musiklärare samt hos skolledningen. Bakgrund: Att utvecklas från student till sjuksköterska är något som sker i flera steg. Utbildningen har fokus på teori och de nya sjuksköterskorna har svårt att överföra teoretiska och praktiska kunskaper in i praktiken och känner därmed att de inte kan uppfylla de krav och förväntningar som ställs på dem inom professionen.Syfte: Syftet med denna kvalitativa studie var att belysa sjuksköterskors upplevelser av att vara ny i yrket.Metod: En empirisk studie med kvalitativ ansats och en beskrivande design. Fem nyutexaminerade sjuksköterskor intervjuades och datan analyserades genom en kvalitativ innehållsanalys.Resultat: Fyra kategorier beskriver upplevelsen av att vara ny i yrket: (1) Känslor kring sjuksköterskerollen,(2) Stöd på arbetsplatsen, (3) Från ny till en i vårdteamet och (4) Kraven inom professionen. Slutsats: Studiens resultat visar att det är en utmaning för nya sjuksköterskor att kunna balansera mellan deras självupplevda kunskapsnivå och de krav som sjukvården och professionen ställer på dem. AbstractThe purpose with this essay has been to gain a greater understanding and clarify how an arena can create value within place marketing and development of a place brand. This will be achieved through a description of which values an arena causes in the surrounding areas and an understanding of how these values can be interpreted through the place brand. We decided to base our study according to the following two questions:1. What are the underlying reasons why there has been such a big trend with arena project?2.

This qualitative study is done with the purpose of creating understanding for the theoretical democratic content in educational materials for Civic Education courses 1a1 and 1b during GY-11, so teachers create an intentional approach when using educational materials in their democratic education. This was motivated as important considering the reduction in obligatory Civic Education for the vocational programs. The study was conducted using a hermeneutic qualitative reading method where the educational materials, more specifically two series with one book for each course, was read with purpose of creating understanding for the democratic content according to ideal democratic models: deliberative democracy, participatory democracy and electoral democracy. A text voice analysis was also conducted using Bakhtins theory of dialogic and monologue text that contributed to the general result concerning the democratic content. The results show that the electoral democracy ideal is dominant in all educational materials, there is hence no striking difference between the democratic content in 1a1 and 1b educational materials.

The aim of the present study was to gain a deeper understanding of the experiences of the contact with the ?fear of childbirth?-team (called Aurora-team) made by women who feared childbirth. Qualitative content analyses according to Graneheim and Lundman was used to analyse 91 womens own written notes made at the end of a questionnaire which (with a quantitative approach) evaluated the counseling made by the Aurora-team at a hospital in the south of Sweden. The following five categories developed during the analyses; experience of the conversation, not knowing creates fear, thoughts regarding mode of delivery, the importance of how the birth plan is managed and the personnel´s standpoint regarding fear of childbirth. These categories can be seen as parts of the themes of experiences which made the fear of childbirth easier or which made it worse.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka tonåringar och föräldrars uppfattning om vad en bra familj är. Genom kvalitativ metod med en induktiv utgångspunkt har tonåringar och föräldrars beskrivning av ämnet undersökts. 100 deltagare har skriftligt berättat vad en bra familj är för dem. 50 tonåringar har författat en uppsats, 10 av dessa var 18 år och 40 var 13 år. 50 föräldrar, med barn i motsvarande ålder har som en del i en enkät svarat på samma öppna fråga.

Bakgrund: Anorexia Nervosa är en sjukdom som främst drabbar kvinnor mellan 15-24 år och det är cirka en % av världens befolkning som drabbas varje år. Syfte: Att belysa sjuksköterskans omvårdnadsåtgärder hos flickor med anorexia nervosa och att se vilka riskfaktorer som predisponerar för utveckling av denna sjukdom. Metod: Litteraturstudien genomfördes som en allmän litteraturstudie med systematisk analys. Resultat: Sjuksköterskan kan spela en nyckelroll i omvårdnaden av flickor som drabbats av anorexia nervosa genom empati och förståelse. Detta kan resultera i att flickorna känner förtroende och tillit för sjuksköterskorna och det kan hjälpa dem att tillfriskna.

The purpose of this study was to examine how some young mothers, who previously have been in foster care or residential care, describe the way motherhood has affected their lives and identities. Narrative interviews were conducted with three teenage mothers and one mother aged 23. As tools for analyzing the narratives, theories about narrative psychology and how people present themselves through story-telling and language were used. The results of the study show that becoming a mother was life-changing in a positive way, according to the young mothers. They described how they, since becoming mothers, had become more mature and now lived less risk-full lives.

Bakgrund: Ett stort antal personer drabbas varje år av venös tromboembolism i Sverige och ungefär en fjärdedel drabbas av lungemboli. Symtomen kan vara mycket varierande och diffusa vilket gör sjukdomen svårdiagnostiserad. De flesta patienter som kommer till sjukhus och får behandling i tid överlever. Det finns i dag mycket forskning när det gäller riskfaktorer, diagnos och behandling vid lungemboli. Däremot är inte upplevelsen av att drabbas väl studerad, inte heller hur det påverkar patientens livskvalitet.

The Internet has become a communication system that includes a direct and personal communication as well as traditional mass communication. For example, the Internet has become a channel for self-publishing. It provides opportunities for discussion and blogs can be woven together into a dialogue between network users. The conversation is both personalised and addressed to the wider community. Our study is based on how fashion bloggers perceive their role as a fashion blogger, and how young women, 18 to 30 years old, in Sundsvall, perceive fashion blogs.We chose to conduct qualitative research and held qualitative interviews and focus groups. Since fashion blogs are a relatively new phenomenon, we chose to do interviews with the active fashion bloggers, Nina Johansson and Karolina Skande, to use them as informants.
