The management of information is a significant competitiveness in companies. Companies stored and save information every day, and it is very common to save de information in different sources. This makes de management of information complex. To mange, monitor and analyze the information, companies can use a system called Business Intelligence. BI system is an analytical system that extracts and converts data into useful information that helps employees to make informed decisions.

Purpose/Aim: To create a communication strategy for PADI Nordic with the intention of getting Swedish divers, who have been certified abroad, to Swedish dive centers.Material/Method: The study is based on a number of personal interviews conducted with a) divers who are active in Sweden, b) divers who are not active in Sweden and c) representatives from PADI and PADI affiliated dive centers.Main results: The main reason that people who have been certified abroad do not dive in Sweden is that they regard it as being too complicated, too cold, too expensive and with nothing interesting to see. These might partly be misconceptions that can be corrected through a communication strategic effort. The best way to change this perception is by two different forms of communication. One will go from PADI Nordic straight to the divers through an email. This will have the purpose of getting their attention, making diving sound interesting and raise their awareness in preparation for the other part of the process.

Problem:How should a smaller investor behave when investing in the stock market and what knowledge should he have about the business he´s investing in? Purpose:The purpose of this thesis is to give the smaller investor a tool for investing in the stock market. The thesis aim to illustrate, through key ratios, what companies an investor should look for when investing in a company. Method:By studying already existing theories and then apply them on the thesis. The theories was then developed and refined to evolve to the finished thesis.

The main purpose of a logotype is to harmonize with a company?s business concept and culture. This study is based on the receiver?s attitudes about three different logotypes - Volvo, Telia and Mcdonald's. It informs the reader about the importance of a logotype as a mean of communication and if the perceptions of the logotype harmonize with the profile of the company.

My goal with this Project was to create four pictures which de¬scribed four different emotions. The purpose of the project was that the pictures would be placed in a psychology department and they could use them as a starting point for a discussion about the patients? emotions. My personal purpose was that I wanted to create pictures in scale 1:1 in an analogue fashion, and try to learn more about how people see and feel about pictures. What kind of thoughts can a picture give you? Can I create a picture which can be used as a platform for a discussion? Can I make a picture which describes an emotion? The making of the pictures started with developing ideas and then I took photographs of my friend Joel, in different situations and moods, which I used as reference for my paintings.

The purpose of this thesis is to analyse studies that evaluate Web search engines. This is done in four categories; the researchers? purpose, the evaluation measurements, the relevance, and the time aspect. Our method is based on a text analysis in which we use the direction of analysis of the content of sixteen evaluation experiments. Our results indicate fundamental differences in the way the researchers are tackling the problem of evaluation of Web search engines.

The name of the study means ?The short arm - a study in diversity and arm?s length in the cultural collaboration model?. Right now there is a reform in the Swedish cultural administration where the responsibility for handing out state funds and grants to cultural organizations is changing from the state government to the local regional governments. The purpose of this study is to map the organisational changes caused by the reform and investigate how this affects the regional policies concerning cultural diversity and the arm?s length principle.

The purpose of this study is to compare students (both male and female), from the Linnaeus University in Kalmar, about their perceptions with a particular focus on identity and self-esteem. In regards to the current societal problem concerning obesity and beauty ideals, this paper aimed to study the student?s opinions concerning health and diets in order to fully answer the purpose of the study. The theory used in this paper is in particular regards to identity and self-esteem. In order to answer the study questions, a qualitative approach was conducted in the form of various focus groups.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att beskriva hur elitidrottsföreningar arbetar med ekonomisk och sportslig styrning. Utifrån syftet kommer vi att analysera hur föreningarna arbetar för att nå sina mål. Vi kommer även att undersöka vilken social roll föreningarna har i samhället.Vi har valt att begränsa studien till elitidrottsföreningar. De föreningar vi valt att arbeta med är ishockeyföreningen HV71, fotbollsföreningen Jönköpings Södra IF och handbollsföreningen IF Hallby HK. De tre föreningarna befinner sig såväl sportsligt som organisatoriskt på olika nivåer där HV71 är den största och IF Hallby HK den minsta.Vi använde oss av kvalitativ metod och genomförde personliga intervjuer med företrädare för varje förening.

In fraudem legis is another legal conception from Roman law and is translated into "evasion of law".

The purpose of this thesis was to create a deeper comprehension for the role of place marketing within Swedish municipalities and how it is applied to attract visitors and residents. A case study was performed to obtain this purpose. Interviews with three northern municipalities were conducted in order to retrieve essential information. This was compared to previous studies of place marketing in order to find similarities and differences. The results of this study showed that municipalities emphasise on creating an attractive image, directed to the residents as well as to people outside.

En exploatering bör genomföras till rätt kvalité och till rätt kostnad. Kommunen har ett budget- och samordningsansvar för de åtgärder som är nödvändiga för genomförandet av en detaljplan. Tjänstemän på Göteborg kommuns exploateringsavdelning har framhållit svårigheter när det gäller hanteringen av ekonomiska bedömningar i planprocessen vilket resulterat i höga exploateringskostnader som grovt överstigit de kalkyler som upprättats under planarbetets gång.Syftet med detta arbete har varit att konkretisera och jämföra rutiner gällande administration och hantering av ekonomiska bedömningar i planprocessens tidiga skeden genom att undersöka hur motsvarande verksamheter i olika kommuner arbetar. Underlaget till arbetet är baserat på intervjuer med tjänstemän på motsvarande verksamheter i Göteborg, Malmö och Stockholm. Material har även inhämtats från handlingar och övrigt arbetsmaterial.Resultatet av undersökningen visade att ekonomiska bedömningar och kalkyler har olika upplägg och ges olika betydelse i olika kommuner.

SyfteSyftet är att utifrån målområde nio i de nationella folkhälsomålen som står för ökad fysisk aktivitet, där det står att äldre aktivt ska erbjudas möjligheter motion, ta reda på hur detta tillämpas i praktiken i Stockholms kommuner och stadsdelsförvaltningar och om kommunen/ stadsdelsförvaltningen ansvarar för att målet uppfylls.MetodEn studie genomfördes bland Stockholms kommuner och stadsdelsförvaltningar med hjälp av telefonintervjuer med verksamhetschefer för äldreomsorgen. Svarsfrekvensen var 75 %, vilket motsvarar nio svarande kommuner/stadsdelsförvaltningar. Ett studiebesök på Friskvårds-centrum i Hässelby-Vällingby gjordes i syfte att erfara hur friskvård för äldre kan tillämpas i praktiken.ResultatNio av tio kommuner och stadsdelsförvaltningar i Stockholm erbjuder aktivt möjligheter till motion för de äldre, men det är i stor utsträckning för dem som är i behov av vård och omsorg. Öppen dagverksamhet finns i fem av de undersökta kommunerna/stadsdels-förvaltningarna. En kommun satsar aktivt på fysisk aktivitet där även friska äldre ingår.

Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to describe the change at Myndigheten and analyze its implementation to identify the employees' attitudes towards the change. The survey of attitudes is important to provide indicators of how they may affect the continued implementation of the process-oriented approach.Research methodology: This thesis is based on both quantitative and qualitative method. Surveys have been implemented on co-workers/employees and an interview has been implemented on a project participant.Theoretical framework: This thesis uses theories of organizations, organizational changes and attitudes.Conclusions: Both positive and negative attitudes are found for the employees and these attitudes are mainly weak. If Myndigheten makes interventions, it can help to minimize the negative consequences that the attitudes may lead to. By doing this the commitment for the change will increase, which is critical for the change to succeed..

The purpose of this paper is to find more understanding for pupils in compensatory educational situations and get an idea about how they place themselves in the social hierarchy. In my study I have interviewed four pupils with different experiences from school with the common denominator of being placed in a special class during some hours of the week. The purpose of this placement is to get them to achieve better results in various subjects depending on their grade but this also means a social separation from friends in the ordinary class and this doesn't correspond well with the democratic idea of "one school for all".What I found was that these pupils categorize themselves different from each other and while two of the pupils find themselves very included in the school's social network the remaining two had problems functioning satisfactory in a social matter according to their own liking. The feeling of exclusion though can not be connected to their participation in the special class but rather to their earlier social experiences..
