Musik och lärande : ugna vuxnas syn på musikundervisning

The intention of my studies is to explore the field of musical learning from the Pupil's point of view. This master thesis is the second of two Grounded Theory studies based on interviews.In study no1 Learning of music from the Pupils' point of view (Pemsel, 2009) I asked ten Pupils, soon to be graduates, to express their own experience of musical learning. The selection of informants was made after reading a questionnaire an- swered by a group of 60 Pupils attending different programs at a typical Swedish upper secondary school. The ten selected informants had all chosen several music courses their latest years in school. The questionnaire had two purposes; one was to construct musical profiles of the Pupils, the other was to select informants for the interviews.

This essay examines upper secondary school Pupils as well as the Swedish National Agency for Educations views on the education in subject of religion. How they describe its purpose, what content the topic should address, how the education should be implemented and what influence the Pupils should have over their own studies. This to examine how the views of Pupils and the Swedish National Agency of Education correlate and to analyze how it possibly can affect the Pupil?s motivation. The survey is conducted by semi-forging tured interviews and text analysis in order to ascertain the Pupils and the Swedish National Agency of Educations opinions on the issues.

The evaluation and assessment of a Pupil?s knowledge is today an important part of a teachers work. The function of the evaluations for younger Pupils (grades 1-3) has assumed a more prominent role in the school system due to the introduction of written assessments as well as national testing in grade 3. One of the purposes of this research has been to find out the teacher?s opinions of the written assessment in grade 3.

Pupil achievement and behaviour in schools was earlier seen as given by socioeconomic and biological factors. But since the late 1970s the school effectiveness research has come to give school factors a much greater role for Pupils? attainments. Research has shown that schools´ pedagogical and social climate, which is to be seen as a complex product of deeply felt values and norms held by school principals and teachers and developed through practical actions, can explain variations in effectiveness between schools. Effectiveness is here to be seen as a higher mean cognitive and non cognitive student outcome than is expected with regard to initial attainment or family background.

The teachers? views of the Pupils have had an influence of how the special education process is designed. The aim with my paper is to make a comparative study of how special education teachers in rural schools and schools in Stockholm have designed their work with Pupils with needs of special support.

There are an increasing number of Pupils leaving school with incomplete grades. Research indicates that the causes to this phenomenon may be individual- as well as school related and complicated to illuminate. The purpose of the study is to examine the processes of exclusion that have resulted in Pupils´ incomplete degrees. Two research problems have been formulated. The first one is about the identification of exclusion and branding factors for Pupils with incomplete degrees.

The purpose with my examination is to make a contribution to how, as a pedagogue, you can work to make it easier for Pupils with Aspergers syndrome that are integrated in an ?average? class. I will concentrate my work to these questions: how pedagogues can work to make it easier for Pupils with Asperger syndrome that are integrated in an ?average? class. If it affects the other Pupils in the class when Pupils with Asperger syndrome is integrated in the class and also if it affects the pedagogues work having these children integrated in their ?average? class.I have decided to study research and other literature and also to do two interviews to find out how pedagogues can make it easier for children with the diagnosis Asperger syndrome.

Olikhet, gemenskap, kommunikation : En studie om hur lärare i skolår 1-6 främjar tolerans hos elever.

For most Pupils homework is a natural part of school and their education and there are several providers of homework assistance: the Pupil's parents, sibblings, friends, Internet forums, hired private tutoring, non-profit organisations and at times even the Pupil's school. This study has investigated the use of the school-based homework assistance programme at the Upper Secondary School of Psychology in Stockholm and why the programme is not more frequently used by its Pupils. The school offers homework assistance two hours each Thursday afternoon, with at least two teachers being present to tender for the school's 127 Pupils. The cost of the programme has been estimated to approximately 12 500 Swedish kronor per week. Through the main use of a questionnaire given to both the school's students and teachers, as well as an interview with the school's headmaster, this study will show that despite receiving the opportunity few Pupils take part of the programme on a regular basis.

Skolan i universum - att förklara det ofattbara : Astronomiundervisningen i skolan på 1900-talet

This is a study in how astronomy has been taught and is being taught in Swedish schools from 1905 to this date with an emphasis on the latest 30 years. It concerns the regulations and methodical recommendations/curricula for Swedish junior high school/Swedish Comprehensive school for the years 1905, 1933, 1955, 1958, 1962, 1969, 1980 and 1994. The matter of integrating astronomy with other subjects and different methodical approaches is also considered. The problem with textbooks written only for one subject when the teacher tries to integrate subjects is emphasised.Physics textbook analysis shows that astronomy teaching has over the years developed, from being based on observations, to become more and more theoretical. It also shows that the amount of practical exercises has been fairly constant in physics textbooks during the seventies end eighties but now in the nineties varies a lot from textbook to textbook. The amount of liberty the textbook gives the Pupil in finding knowledge and answers himself in the practical parts of astronomy was at its lowest during the seventies.

En skola för alla? : En undersökning om hur sex olika kommuner arbetar med utbildning för nyanlända elever

 The Swedish school of today reflect the society we live in. We live in a multi cultural society and in our schools there are Pupils with different backgrounds, cultures and mother tongue, which make it necessary for every teacher to treat every single Pupil?s need and condition. Dyslexi : En studie om huruvida klasslärare i f-3 anser sig ha tillräckliga kunskaper om dyslexi

The purpose of this study is to investigate if the class teachers believe that their education has given them enough knowledge about dyslexia in order to succeed a successful education for these Pupils. It will present what four class teachers and two special education teachers has answered what they know about dyslexia. The study aims to find out if class teachers believe that they have enough knowledge to determine whether a Pupil has dyslexia. If they have knowledge of appropriate methods and if they know how to prevent that Pupils fall behind in their literacy and also what factors they believes makes it problematic to implement a literacy for these Pupils. I propose the following questions:Do the class teachers consider that their education has given them sufficient knowledge of dyslexia and its characteristics?What methods does the class teachers and special education teachers considers as useful for Pupils with dyslexia?What does the class teachers consider can prevent that Pupils with dyslexia fall behind in their reading and writing skills?What factors consider class teachers and special education teachers is problematic to to succeed a reading and writing education for Pupils with dyslexia?This study is based on a qualitative method and my theoretical approach is based on Høien and Lundberg established view of what dyslexia is.

Det obligatoriska skolväsendets pedagogiska strategier i arbetet med elever som har AD/HD. : Pedagoger i en integrerad respektive segregerad undervisningsform berättar och beskriver

The survey aims to highlight and describe how the schools' teaching strategies look like in the work of Pupils from the neuropsychiatric disability AD/HD (Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder). The pedagogical strategies have been investigated in an integrated and segregated teaching method. The study is qualitative in nature where the interviews conducted, first with a student who has been diagnosed AD/HD but also with teachers from each school who is well versed in student teaching and work. The results of the study show that knowledge and commitment about AD/HD is crucial to students' role and function in school. If knowledge and commitment is sufficient for the student teaching tailored to student needs and the risk of misunderstandings occur decreases. Security is a key factor for students who have been diagnosed AD/HD and learning form in itself is no guarantee that students will feel safe. Students have in the two teaching methods stressed that they feel safe at school and with their education and therefore has no teaching method preferred.

Elevinflytande är något som alltid har intresserat mig, att få möjligheten att påverka ens utbildning och arbets-/lärningsmiljö upplever jag som något väldigt viktigt. Under min egen skolgång var det inte förrän i högstadiet och gymnasiet som elevinflytande togs på allvar av skolan. I denna undersökningen kommer jag undersöka hur elevinflytande ser ut och fungerar på en låg- och mellanstadieskola. Undersökningens syfte är att upplysa hur elever upplever att elevinflytande fungerar på deras skola. Jag har tagit del av olika teorier om elevinflytande och hur man som pedagog kan arbeta med elevinflytande i skolan.
