Denna uppsats har sitt ursprung i att Kontaktpersonsverksamheten LSS Majorna i Göteborg tog kontakt med institutionen för socialt arbete vid Göteborgs universitet. De hade en önskan om att några studenter skulle ta på sig uppgiften att undersöka om deras stödinsatser i form av handledning, feedback och utbildning var tillräckliga. Vi tyckte att uppdraget var intressant då vi alla tre har erfarenheter från människobehandlande organisationer och på nära håll sett hur viktiga dessa mellanmänskliga relationer är. Vi har genomfört en kvantitativ studie och vår datainsamlingsmetod bestod i att skicka ut enkäter till 112 kontaktpersoner inom kontaktpersonsverksamheten LSS Majorna. Det övergripande syftet med denna studie har varit att undersöka om kontaktpersonerna får de verktyg i form av handledning, feedback och utbildning de behöver för att utföra sina uppdrag på ett bra sätt.

Tid anses vara en bristvara, arbetsuppgifterna något som stän-digt ökar och vi tycker oss ana en viss oro bland förskollärare för att kvaliteten för barnen ska bli lidande. De uttrycker även oro för uppdragets allt mer administrativa inslag, där "kring"-uppgifter, som inte upplevs som relevanta för arbetet med barnen, betraktas som "tidstjuvar". Därför ville vi undersöka hur förskollärare förhåller sig till tid och deras syn på syftet med pla-neringstid och kvalitetsarbete.

The aim of this master thesis is to study how the development of a public library by means of ideas and methods from the private sector can be related to traditional core values. We base our study on institutional theory, which focuses on norms and values in an organisation, and new institutional theory, which focuses on how organisations are influenced by changes in the environment. We also use New Public Management with a market focus to analyze the implications of a development towards a more market oriented view.The method used is that of a case study of a new library concept, Idea Stores in London. Idea Stores are a number of new public libraries in Tower Hamlets developed from the results of a major opinion survey about libraries. The Idea Stores combine traditional library services with elements of adult education and lifelong learning in a partnership with local learning centres.

Sverige är ett demokratiskt land med en grund i demokratiska värderingar. Skolan ska följa samma anda, och ses som en medproducent av elever som förstår och kan använda sig av demokratiska synsätt. Demokrati i skolans värld yttrar sig som elevinflytande och delaktighet i elevernas eget lärande. Problematiseringen består i att skolan ska leva upp till kraven i styrdokumenten, samtidigt som den inte erbjuder några riktlinjer i hur inflytandet ska utföras. Detta innebär att det finns en variation i hur elevinflytande tolkas och praktiseras, vilket gör frågan om elevinflytande intressant. Vad betyder egentligen elevinflytande? Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur fem pedagoger i årskurserna ett till sex resonerar och berättar om elevinflytande utifrån ett lärarperspektiv.

The difference between the public sector and the private sector in Sweden was once very small. These sectors have been united as well for the people, the organizations as for the finances. During the 1960´s and 1970´s the public sector in Sweden was expanding and after the 1980´s the people started talking more about an expanding private sector instead. In this study we have focused on the operational management of the public pre-school in Sweden. We have studied how the governance system is designed, why it is designed this way and what impact it has on the operational management. This has been analyzed from a theory stating that there are two types of organizations: pay-driven and function-driven. Through a case and document study we came to the conclusion that the pre-school is a function-driven organization but is nowadays acting on a market and have adopted characteristics of a pay-driven organization. We connect this change to the phenomenon New Public Management.

This study examines the cultural place and status of video and computer games in the Swedish public library. Using works on popular culture and the theories of Pierre Bourdieu, this study employs quantitative methods, as well as textual analysis, to analyze the results of an online questionnaire with 19 questions focusing on selection criteria, shelf placement, perceived competence, as well as reasoning for having or not having these games in the library. 286 out of the 440 libraries contacted is participating in the study, and the libraries consist exclusively of public libraries in Sweden that are found in the database of the Royal Library.The results of this study show that a larger number of libraries than previously indicated have started to provide electronic games to their patrons. At the same time, patterns in the data and comments suggests that these games in many cases still do not enjoy the same level of cultural recognition as other media. Indicative of this is the way most libraries seem to focus on the medium being exclusively for their young patrons, with seem-ingly very little in the way of investment for adults.

This project has resulted in an website at www.tinadunker.se, where you also can download the project in it´s written form to get a deeper view of the project. This project aims to explore fear of violence in public places. Fear of violence reminds us that there is a problem in our urban environment that leads to spatial consequences in using public space. Many groups in our society experience fear in their everyday life but this project has focus on women?s fear.

SammanfattningI den nya läroplanen, Lgr 11, har kommunikation en central plats i matematikundervisning. De senaste årens studier rörande matematisk kommunikation har främst behandlat språklig progression, interaktion och matematiska diskurser. Däremot saknas forskning kring hur lärare kan arbeta med matematisk kommunikation. I denna studie undersöks lärares skilda uppfattningar av hur de arbetar med uppdraget att utveckla elevernas kommunikations-förmåga i matematik. Uppsatsens empiriska del utgår från en enkätundersökning och tre intervjuer.

The main purpose of this Masters thesis is to examine gender division in public libraries by reviewing literature and interviewing eight public librarians and two chief librarians. The reason why we decided to investigate this topic is the lack of research concerning sex-segregation in library and information science. By choosing this subject we intend to deepen the understanding of the significance of gender both within the public library and of the occupation in general. Some researchers claim that the low status of librarianship is a result of the large proportion of women in the profession. We want to find out how our informants view the relation between professional status and female domination.

This Masters thesis aims at presenting a picture of, and critically examining, the Swedish debate concerning the public library and the future by way of 21 articles in three library periodicals. The questions examined are: -What are the views concerning the future public library in Swedish library press? -What characterizes the debate and why? Theories on political institutions and information society are used and the method is hermeneutic, a type of idea-analysis. The first step in the analysis consists of a categorized presentation of the material. The themes concern the form and content of the library as well as competence and hopes/fears.
