Background: Health economic evaluations are becoming an increasingly important means of analysing which care alternative resource utilisation is the most cost effective. It is a new topic in the medical device industry that causes much uncertainty and unstructured use of the actors involved.Study questions: Why is it difficult to develop, implement and disseminate this standardized health economic evaluation models in medical technology? Is there a possibility to standardize health economic evaluations within the medical device industry?Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the standardization issues for health economic evaluations within the medical device industry.Method: A qualitative approach was used in the form of interviews with five actors that are active or have a connection to the medical device industry. The data collection consists of journals, reports, Internet searches and literature among other things.Conclusion: It is possible to standardize, but with certain restrictions such as the county council's budget, influence of industry-specific factors, lack of knowledge and the important interaction between actors..

Hjärt- och kärlsjukdomar är den främst förekommande dödsorsaken i Sverige och hjärtinfarkt är en av de vanligaste bakomliggande orsakerna. De senaste två decennierna har risken att dö i en hjärtinfarkt nära halverats, men insjuknandet i hjärtinfarkt har inte minskat i samma takt. En hjärtinfarkt är en stor omställning för individen och många behöver genomföra livsstilsförändringar för att undvika att drabbas av ytterligare hjärtinfarkter. Syftet med studien är att belysa faktorer som kan underlätta eller försvåra individens livsstilsförändringar efter genomgången hjärtinfarkt. Metoden som använts är en kvalitativ litteraturstudie där åtta kvalitativa vetenskapliga artiklar analyserades inspirerat av Graneheim och Lundmans (2004) sammanfattande beskrivning för innehållsanalys.

The aim of this thesis is to examine the historical use of "poison cabinets", or restricted shelves, in Swedish libraries. Drawing upon the theories of Mary Douglas and Michel Foucault, it also seeks to sketch a cultural and ideological context of the practice; with the emphasis on social or mental hygiene, and disciplinary aspects. Through qualitative interviews as well as digitalized recordings of librarians active during the first half of the 20th century, actual examples of poison cabinets are presented. A closer examination is conducted of past collections at Lund University Library, and two large public libraries situated in Växjö and Sigtuna. The essay also investigates views on library censorship, controversial literature, and other related subjects reflected in th elibrary press during the period 1916-1979.

Bakgrund Stroke är en sjukdom som inte bara drabbar den sjuke utan det drabbar även i stor utsträckning de närstående. För att kunna möta de närståendes behov är det viktigt att sjuksköterskan har förståelse för deras situation och upplevelser. Syfte Att beskriva de upplevelser som närstående till personer med stroke har i kontakt med vården och i hemmet. Metod Studien är en litteraturstudie som baserats på kvalitativa vetenskapliga artiklar, vilka analyserades med hjälp av en manifest kvalitativ innehållsanalys inspirerad av Graneheim och Lundman (2003). Resultat Närstående till personer som drabbats av stroke upplevde brister när det gäller information och stöd från sjukvården och de upplevde även ensamhet och isolering, att de hade lite tid för sig själva samt att de kände oro och osäkerhet inför framtiden. Slutsatser Vårdpersonal kan med rätt kunskap hjälpa de närstående att få den kunskap och det stöd de upplever att de behöver..

The aim of this study is to examine how librarians experience implementations of changes in the physical space of the public library. The study seeks to answer the following questions from the librarians? perspective: What are the underlying reasons for changes in the physical space of the library? What are the important functions of the public library to the community residents? What reactions do librarians get from community residents after changes in the physical space of the public library? The study is based on semi-structured interviews with librarians working at seven small public libraries in Sweden. A model of four library spaces, which was developed by Andersson and Skot-Hansen in 1994 and refined in 2012, is used as a theoretical framework to help analyzing the results. The majority of the libraries are structured according to the older version of the model.

Invandringen i Sverige har ökat under de senaste decennierna, detta har gjort att Sverige gått från att bestå av relativt få kulturer till att bli mångkulturellt. Att beskriva faktorer som påverkar förståelsen för kulturella olikheter i mötet mellan vårdpersonal i Sverige och personer med invandrarbakgrund var syftet med litteraturstudien. Studien baserades på nio vetenskapliga artiklar och materialet bearbetades genom innehållsanalys. Resultatet visade att det finns kulturella olikheter i mötet mellan vårdpersonal och personer med annan kulturell bakgrund än den svenska. Många invandrare har svårt att anpassa sig till sitt nya hemland, både språkligt och kulturellt, vilket avspeglas som ett problem i den allmänt stereotypa vården.

Local cultural environment planning in Sweden often comes to rely on municipal heritage plans. These plans are meant to facilitate management of local cultural values, work as a tool for local planning and increase awareness of cultural environments for the public. In the last decades public participation in planning has become more and more of the ideal strategy, challenging the idea of cultural environment planning as an expert-led field. The idea of the field as one that implicates public participation as a strategy has been fortified in Sweden through national goals, government bills and conventions. Nevertheless the implementation of public participation in municipal heritage plans remains quite uncharted. The aim of this study is to explore public participation in regards to how municipal heritage plans are developed and the perception of public participation in cultural environment planning amongst professionals, comparing bigger and smaller municipalities.

Bakgrund: I det dagliga arbetet på en vårdavdelning arbetar sjuksköterskan i en miljö som är stressande. För att kunna hantera detta krävande arbete och avvärja hot används ofta olika copingstrategier speciellt då personen inte tror sig ha tillräckliga resurser för att hantera situationen. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att belysa hur sjuksköterskan kan påverkas av arbetsrelaterad stress och hur den kan hanteras. Metod: En litteraturstudie har genomförts med hjälp av sju artiklar som har analyserats med kvalitativ ansats. Resultat: Ett antal stressorer inom sjuksköterskans vårdarbete identifierades såsom hög arbetsbelastning, tidsbrist och brist på kontroll. Patientsäkerheten blev negativt påverkad när sjuksköterskan led av stress. Sjuksköterskan använder olika copingstrategier för att hantera stressen där samtal med kollegor var den mest framträdande. Slutsats: En viktig del av sjuksköterskans arbete är arbetsmiljön. Förhoppningen är att denna studie ska lyfta fram hur sjuksköterskan kan påverkas av stress och förhoppningsvis ge sjuksköterskan en bättre utgångspunkt för att hantera stressrelaterade arbetsmoment i vårdarbetet..

This Bachelor's thesis in Environmental Science studies the quality of an index of performance measurement of Swedish municipalities' sustainability governance offered by the environmental magazine Miljöaktuellt. Executed for six consecutive years, this evaluation is arguably the most comprehensive and widely spread local sustainability assessment in Sweden. Contextualizing this quantitative measurement tool in the paradigm of New Public Management, the research questions posed are: 'to what extent does the index employed by Miljöaktuellt correspond to the requirements of a set of quality criteria for sustainability assessment?' and 'is the index appropriate as a measure of, or a goal for, Swedish municipalities' internal sustainability efforts?' Through the perspective of evaluation theory, Miljöaktuellt's index is seen as a performance evaluation, thus categorizing this study as a meta-evaluation. Through a qualitative thematic approach, the index is analyzed using the 8 BellagioSTAMP-principles that were developed as tools for assessing quality of sustainability assessments as themes for the analysis.

Röda Korsets Besöksverksamhet startade som ett pilotprojekt 2004. På uppdrag av Röda Korset har Blekinge Tekniska Högskola gjort en utvärdering av deras Besöksverksamhet. Syftet med den här utvärderingen var att utvärdera Röda Korsets Besöksverksamhet hos de äldre på särskilda boenden i Karlskrona kommun utifrån begreppen livskvalité och ensamhet. Författarna till den här utvärderingen valde att göra en intervjustudie med kvalitativ ansats. De som blev intervjuade efter urvalet var alla kvinnor och bodde på särskilda boenden i Karlskrona kommun.

Aim and Problem statement The study aimed to investigate views on physical health amongst patients in methadone maintenance program, which is a subject little explored. Previous studies suggest that methadone patients are at risk developing illnesses related to the metabolic syndrome and an unhealthy lifestyle. Methadone also has side effects such as weight gain and irregular levels of glucose. Method This qualitive study included seven interviews with patients in the methadone maintenance program in Uppsala. Qualitive content analyses were performed Findings Content anlyses gave the theme: The view on physical health is a stuggle after normality were ambivalence of lifestyle changes and alienation causes instability in helath.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to investigate the library habits of young people, age 15 to 24. Our empirical data are gathered in a survey distributed to 104 young men and women at three different public libraries. The questions are about how young people use the public library, what media and services they use and whether or not they are content with what the public library can offer them. In our analysis we have compared our results to previous research and used a model by Marianne Andersson and Dorte Skot-Hansen to determine how they use the library.

Health care costs in relation to GDP are escalating all over Europe and the Swedish health care industry is not an exception. Between 30 and 50 percent of resources used in health care are considered waste, in the sense that they don't contribute to increased health. This illustrates the big need for hospitals to become more efficient which is why many hospitals today are trying to move towards a process-oriented organization. This paper therefore aims to identify the elements necessary for this type of organizational change, the barriers encountered when moving from a functional to process oriented hospital as well as how to overcome them. The case study was conducted at Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset and shows the importance of not just transmitting a sense of urgency but also communicating that the upcoming change is long term.

Bakgrund: Att leva med HIV som är en obotlig virus sjukdom orsakar inte bara ett fysiskt utan även ett psykiskt lidande hos den smittade. HIV är en samhällsfarlig och global sjukdom som innebär livslång medicinsk behandling. HIV är belagt med skuld och fördomar på grund av okunskap och rädsla. Det är känslomässigt svårt för den HIV-smittade att berätta om sin diagnos. Syfte: Syftet med studien ar att belysa det psykiska lidandet hos en person med HIV.

In light of the European Union`s 2012 theme year: Active aging and solidarity between generations I wished to gain an understanding of weather elderly immigrant are provided with equal possibilities and access to local community information as the majority population and their participation in activities arranged for senior citizens in the municipality where they live. I have done this by meeting with those who work in this capacity. I also chose to meet with representatives for immigrant organizations in the local community to enquire of their work with senior citizens within their own ethnic group. This is a qualitative study on a phenomenological ground based on nine interviews and four observations. I have had two theories to help me analyze my empirical material.
