Syftet med studien är att ta reda på vilka praktiska moment som genomförs i teknikämnet i grundskolans senare år, utifrån den gällande kursplanen i teknik. Studien bygger på enkäter, ställda till ett antal elever, lärare och science center i Sverige.Enkäterna tolkas utifrån en fenomenografisk ansats.Elevenkäten har gjorts för att få en inblick i hur eleverna ser på de praktiska momenten i skolan samt vad de i allmänhet tycker om teknikämnet.Lärarenkäten har gjorts för att få reda på vilka praktiska moment om görs samt vilken budget som finns att tillgå för teknikundervisningen. Dessutom har användandet av science centers beskrivits.Science centerenkäten har gjorts för att ta reda på hur ofta science center anlitas av skolor och vilka praktiskamoment som genomförs där.De slutsatser som kommer fram är att de flesta eleverna upplever de praktiska momenten som roliga samt att de flesta eleverna någon gång besökt något av de science center som finns i Sverige. I analysen av lärarenkäterna visas att 70 % av lärarna arbetar praktiskt trots låg budget. Utgångspunkten för upplägg av undervisningen är Lpo94 och ämnesintegration är vanlig.

Bakgrund: Cirka 30 000 personer drabbas varje år av stroke. Efterföljderna beror på skadans utbredning i hjärnan. Den mest påtagliga konsekvensen är negativ påverkan på motoriska funktioner som till exempel förlamning. En annan vanligt förekommande konsekvens är afasi och dysartri. Syfte: Syftet var att belysa de känslor som uppkommer i samband med att en person drabbas av och vårdas efter en stroke.

This thesis investigates the Designated Operational Entities (DOEs) under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) of the Kyoto Protocol. The DOEs serves as independent third-party auditors with the task of validating, verifying and certifying projects under the CDM. The majority of the DOEs are private entities. This is in line with the CDM objective of including the private sector in the climate change combat. The introduction of private entities in the role of DOEs can be questioned from a legitimacy point of view, but is corresponding to a development in international environmental governance where private actors are increasingly involved in governance arrangements.The thesis concludes the DOEs to be a form of public-private partnership and investigates the legitimacy of this form.

Traditionally, the majority of Swedish public libraries have carried out most of their acquisitions through Bibliotekstjänst's binding booklets. In recent years, however, many libraries have complemented the binding booklets and other services from Bibliotekstjänst by other ways of acquiring books, such as Internet bookshops, while other libraries have stopped using the binding booklets altogether. There are various reasons for this development, such as Information Technology making it possible for librarians to compare prizes and services from different retailers. Another important reason is the need for public libraries to meet new needs from their patrons, while remaining on a restrained budget, which often causes a need for reorganization of staff and resources.As a way of meeting the new needs for libraries, Bibliotekstjänst has created Profile Services (profiltjänster), a service in which a library outsources its acquisitions to Bibliotekstjänst. The staff of the library, in dialogue with Bibliotekstjänst, design a profile for the acquisitions for the library in question, in order to determinate which types and genres of literature the library and its patrons are requesting.

Background: In Sweden, heart transplantation increases as a method of treatment. Patients undergoing heart transplantation require special needs of care. Nurses have to increase knowledge about experiences that these patients percieve to conform the health care in the future. In this study, health science has been used as a theoretical frame of reference which includes a patient perspective.Aim: The aim of this study was to describe experiences among patients, elder than 18 years old, undergoing heart transplantation.Method: The method was a qualitative descriptive study with a context analysis based on ten scientific articles and an autobiography corresponding with the aim of the study.Results: The results of this study showed six themes about experiences that emerged among patients undergoing heart transplantation: feeling of vitality, existential crisis, importance of social support, destructive feelings, capacity of going on and the experience of quality of life.Conclusion: It?s not a guarantee that the quality of life will increase among patients undergoing heart transplantation and they need a specialist trained nurse available to support at all hours..

AbstractWe are with this paper trying to identify some factors that have an influence on youths mental health. Our theoretical starting points are about how school, family, work, individualization, media and lifestyle effect youths mental health. This paper is based on three deep interviews and former reports. The result show how individualization in the community cause insecurity and the family band are breaking up more than before. Youth?s health effects negative by the ability to not get a job.

Background: Breastfeeding frequency decrease in Sweden and infants born preterm is a particularly vulnerable group to not be breastfed according to current recommendations. Mothers of preterm infants have an extra need of support from the health care system. Mothers' self-efficacy in breastfeeding affects the outcome of breastfeeding. Health professionals' attitudes to breastfeeding have an impact on the breast feeding support they provide to the mothers.Aim: To investigate whether an intervention could strengthen self-efficacy in breastfeeding among mothers of premature babies. A further aim was to investigate whether the intervention influenced health professionals' attitudes to breastfeeding.Method/Design: An experimental study with quantitative approach in the form of questionnaire survey was conducted.

Musik är ett viktigt redskap för att främja och bevara hälsa. Musiken främjar avslappning och kan förändra sinnesstämning genom att skapa känslomässiga upplevelser hos lyssnaren. Musik kan också användas som avslappning i sjukhusmiljöer exempelvis med lugnande musik som patienten kan välja att lyssna eller inte lyssna på. Det kan också skapa ett samband mellan vårdgivare och vårdtagare att dela en estetisk upplevelse som musik. Det är enligt Erikssons teori i förhållandet mellan vårdgivaren och patiente som vårdandet formas där vårdtagaren ses som en unik människa med kropp, själ och ande.

The purpose of this thesis is to present a number of examples of how the debate concerning same-sex marriages in Sweden was conducted in religious media between the year of 2005 and May 1st 2009. I intend to examine if and how these debate articles can be descibes as examples of religion taking part in the public sphere according to José Casanovas theory of deprivitization and public religion (1994) and Jürgen Habermas theory of religion in the public sphere (1964, 1989, 2006, 2008). I will apply the theories to the material by using four criteria for public religion, based on Casanovas and Habermas two theories, designed by Marta Axner. I also intend to compare the arguments used in the material to the arguments found in Marta Axners dissertation Public Religions in Swedish Media (2013). To identify these arguments a textanalysis containing seven argumentschemes, designed by Gunnar Björnsson (1994), is applied.

Background: Students, at a secondary upper school, attending a practical programme have a lower physical capacity than students from theoretical programs. Our physical self-esteem has a great significance for our motivation in being physically active and thereby also for our health. The purpose: of this study is to find out if there is a difference between perceived physical self-esteem and objectively measured physical activity between students attending a practical programme and a theoretical programme. Method: Four classes, in a medium-sized town in the southeast of Sweden, participated in the study, two classes from practical programmes and two classes from theoretical programmes. All the students were in their final year at the upper secondary school, when they were part of the study during the autumn of 2011.

Till svenska sjukhus, vårdcentraler och äldreboende kommer patienter med en annan kulturell bakgrund. På grund av detta krävs att en sjuksköterska har en bra förståelse, en bred och djup insikt i olika kulturer och levnadssätt för att ge patienten ett gott bemötande. Syftet med studien var att beskriva kunskap om de olika faktorer som kan påverka sjuksköterskans bemötande av patienter med muslimsk bakgrund. En litteraturstudie har genomförts, som baseras på vetenskapliga artiklar och fokuserar på bemötande av patienter med muslimsk bakgrund. Materialet har bearbetats genom innehållsanalys.

This study examines the closure of public libraries, and the nonprofit organizations takeover of them as a phenomenon. The aim is to understand why the nonprofit takeover is common and what the takeover symbolizes and if the discourse in media invokes the views on libraries and the profession.Interviews were made with librarians, politicians and representatives of a nonprofit organization to study different sides of the phenomenon. Other empirical data were found in local and national newspapers and media-channels. I discovered that public libraries are highly valued by both politicians and the community. The study also showed that a library in a community makes people feel valued.

This study is a quantitative study designed to examine whether training in health issues may have contributed to the increase in head managers' psychological capital (PsyCap). Construction consists of the following components: self confidence, hope, optimism and resilience. A high PsyCap considered beneficial in organizational change and steer towards the positive development and helps individuals in stressful situations. The results show an increase of characteristics such as hope and optimism among managers (N = 15) who have undergone training in health issues compared with managers who have not undergone training. However, the tests show no significant difference in head managers' attitudes to health breaks, not the severity of granting health breaks in the groups as a result of training.
