Inna Sevelius: Bristande självhävdelse och självständighet: En studie av neurosbegreppet hos Tora Sandström. Uppsala universitet: Inst. för idé- och lärdomshistoria, magisteruppsats, vårtermin, 2010. Uppsatsens syfte är att bidra till historiseringen av neurosbegreppet genom en analys av begreppet hos en kvinnlig pionjär inom psykoanalysen i Sverige. Studien inbegriper en diskussion av Sandströms neurosbegrepp i relation till annan samtida psykoanalytisk teori och andra samtida tankeströmningar samt en analys av begreppets konsekvenser för Sandströms syn på barnuppfostran och på den terapeutiska praktiken. Enligt Sandström uppstår neuroser pga bristande självhävdelse under uppväxten.

This paper has two parts. In the first part we analyse the Swedish translation of KIMS and we compare it with the American version that Baer and colleagues developed(Baer et al, 2004). Our focus is the factor structure, internal consistency, scale correlations and validity in relation to the already validated translation of the MAAS. The second part has three issues: Does a group of relatives to persons with borderline personality disorder differ from a group of university employees with respect to different aspects of mindfulness? What are the correlations between KIMS and the symptom measure BSI-GSI for the group of relatives? Has the Family Connections program had any effect on the degree of mindfulness for the group of relatives? 123 university employees answered the KIMS questionnaire.

The purpose of the present essay, as part of the project Self esteem and Life circumstances among teenagers, was to investigate the rate of both deliberate self-harm (DSH) and risk behaviour related to eating disorders in 14-year-old swedish adolescents, gender differences in DSH, and possible correlations between DSH and risk behaviours related to eating disorder. In addition, the effects of expressive writing (Pennebaker & Beall, 1986) on DSH and risk behaviours related to eating disorders were investigated. Data from two pilot studies are included. In total, 198 14-year-olds from four different schools in southern Sweden participated. For the purpose of measuring the rate of DSH, a simplified version of Gratz's (2001) Deliberate Self-Harm Inventory (DSHI) was used.
