Normal children acquire the necessary social habits without being consciously aware of this, they learn instinctively. (Author?s translation from Swedish to English) (Asperger & Frith, 1998, s. 21) This essay is about people who do not learn to socialize, the social habits, instinctively but through conscious learning. We have interviewed three adults with the diagnosis of Asperger syndrome with the aim to let them tell us about what it means to have a neuropsychiatric disability.

Increasing attention has been given to men?s experiences as victims of intimate partner violence in the Western world, mostly in quantitative research, within different research fields. The aim of this research paper is to explore men?sspecific experiences of intimate partner violence in heterosexual relationships in a Swedish context, through a gender perspective and with a qualitative research approach. The paper begins by briefly mentioning key findings in existing quantitative and qualitative research, focusing on Sweden.

Coaching har kommit att bli trendigt i alla möjliga sammanhang och verksamheter och kallas för en ?ny och fräsch idé?. Vi har ställt oss frågan vad socialt arbete kan ha för användning av coaching. Då litteraturen om coaching är mångfacetterad har vi själva först behövt tydliggöra och förstå vad coaching innebär. Studien handlar om hur coaching har hamnat i socialt arbete och vad man har fått för användning av coaching.

Young people may be socially and psychologically strained due to unemployment. In the long run, it could result in learned helplessness, which is, according to Seligman (1993), a psychological condition with similar symptoms to the ones that occur during depression. The condition develops when an individual experiences negative events and, after various unsuccessful attempts to escape or conquer them, the individual finally believes that there is no relation between behavior and consequences. This is a study of Sensus Barnmusikskola ? Children?s School of Music, in Karlstad, Sweden?s attempts to facilitate integration and diversity in their operation. The Culture and Recreation Management in Karlstad town?s conditions to award the school their grant in 2009 was that Sensus Children?s school of Music should make targeted interventions in the socioeconomic exposed areas Gruvlyckan/Våxnäs and Kronoparken to increase the number of children with foreign background. This would according to the Culture and Recreation Management bring more integration and diversity in to the school?s operation.

The number of students in the program for pupils with intellectual disabilities has drastically increased over the last decades. Most of those pupils, but far from all, are attending special classes. Today approximately 22 % are attending classes in compulsory school. The purpose of this paper is, from a social psychological perspective, to increase the knowledge and understanding of how pupils with intellectual disabilities, partly or fully attending the compulsory main-stream school, experience their school-days. This paper is composed of two case studies for which the empiric material has been collected through interviews and observations.

Denna studie undersökte om det fanns ett positivt samband mellan transformellt ledarskap och autonom motivation samt medierande effekter på, autonomi, relaterande och kompetens (Deci & Gagné, 2005). 104 personer har deltagit i studien, 54 kommer från en kyrka i Norra Sverige och 49 kommer från ett försäkringsbolag. 67 (64.4 %) av deltagarna är män och 37 (35.6 %) kvinnor. Det transformella ledarskapet mättes genom instrumentet (TLI) Transformellt Ledarskaps Inventorium (Tjärnberg, 2007). Den autonoma motivationen mättes genom en anpassad variant av (SRQ) Self Regulation Questionnare (Ryan & Connell, 1989).

Kvinnor behöver ett eget rum för att kunna utvecklas till individer eftersom det är först då de kan bli jämställda med mannen. Kvinnors särorganisering har alltid väckt olika starkt motstånd från samhället beroende på vilka frågor och ämnen kvinnor väljer att grunda sin organisering på. Uppsatsen syftar till att beskriva en legitim form av kvinnlig särorganisering som ges i form av en kvinnokurs på en folkhögskola.Kvinnokursen ger möjlighet för kvinnor att träffa andra kvinnor och utvecklas tillsammans, men inom ramarna för statlig reglering.På vilket sätt denna kvinnliga frigörelse sker samt vad har den för betydelse för kvinnorna som går på kursen sätts i relation till hur staten motiverar och reglerar detta kvinnliga utrymme. Den analys som ligger till grund för besvarandet av frågeställningarna sätts i relation till teorier som behandlar faktorer som individ, makt och demokrati.Analysen visar på hur statens osynliggörande av kön och den icke förekommande diskussionen om maktrelationer blir till en förutsättning för detta kvinnorum och för kvinnors empowerment..

INTRODUCTION: Research from both nurse and patient perspective highlights shortcomings in psychiatric inpatient care for people with Non-Suicidal Self-Injury (NSSI). Nursing for people with NSSI, a subject in need for further knowledge, is in this study examined through a theoretical framework based on Person-Centered Nursing and Patientology AIM: Based on people's own experiences of being cared for NSSI in psychiatric inpatient care, the aim is to elucidate development opportunities for the nursing care of this group of patients.METHOD: Seven informants, all women aged 25-31, were interviewed about their experiences of nursing in psychiatric inpatient care. The transcribed text was analyzed and categorized according to an existential hermeneutic research approach.RESULTS: The categorization of the interviews resulted in seven areas of nursing in need of development. Knowledge, Environment, Information, Routines, Involvement, Communication and The nurse?s actions.CONCLUSION: Development of nursing is prevented since NSSI is stigmatized within psychiatric inpatient care.

The main purpose of this master thesis is to investigate in what ways library and public preschool cooperate with families with immigrants background in developing and protecting children's languages and cultures in two districts, Hässleholmen and Norrby, in the community of Borås. I want to investigate the parent's meaning of view according to which roles the libraries and public preschools involvement play. The study is based on qualitative interviews. Nine interviews were undertaken with parents who live in these two districts and five interviews with the librarians and preschool teachers who work in the libraries or the public preschools. The study of relevant literature, which describes topics such as psychological aspects of immigration, facts about children with immigrant's background and their language development and multicultural librarianship, provides a basis for the discussion.

Många företags användande av konsulter har under de senaste åren ökat och det finns luckor i forskningen kring denna yrkeskategori. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka huruvida individuella och arbetsrelaterade faktorer hos konsulter påverkar uppfattning av fullföljande samt omfattning av psykologiska kontrakt i relation till en uppdragsgivare. Deltagarna var 172 konsulter, från tre konsultföretag, som besvarade en enkät delvis hämtad från projektet PSYCONES. Resultatet visade att konsulternas individuella samt arbetsrelaterade faktorer påverkade det psykologiska kontraktet och att det som påverkade mest är grad av tillit gentemot uppdragsgivare, antal arbetade timmar i veckan samt ålder. Dock påverkade inga av faktorerna kopplade till konsultrollen uppfattning av fullföljande samt omfattning av psykologiska kontrakt.

The significance of innovation gives entrepreneurs the reason to prior to the commencement of a relationship with a venture capitalist, obtain necessary insights regarding the influences such a relationship may have, in terms of innovation. Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to scrutinise the influence of venture capital firms on their portfolio companies regarding their ability to be innovative. Delimitations: The intent is to study the impact of a venture capitalist from the viewpoint of its portfolio companies. In other words, what the portfolio companies have perceived as changes is our main area of concern, rather than what the venture capitalist has perceived as change.

Syfte: Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur vanligt det är med stress och depression efter genomgången hjärtinfarkt. Vidare planeras att undersöka samband mellan stress och depression samt också eventuella skillnader mellan könen för hur stress och depression upplevs efter genomgången hjärtinfarkt.Metod: Patienter som varit inlagda för hjärtinfarkt vid Akademiska sjukhuset i Uppsala inkluderas i studien. Patienterna skall ha genomgått hjärtinfarkt och/eller PCI och/eller CABG. De tre enkäterna Vardagslivets stress, Känsloläge samt MADRS användes. Frekvenser och korrelationer beräknades med IBM SPSS Statistics version 19.

Psychological research concerning correction of stereotypes has mainly focused on how individuals adjust their negative attitude towards the out-group due to the apprehension of appearing prejudiced in front of out-grouprepresentatives. This study though, does not deal with estimations of the qualities of the out-group; it deals with estimations of the qualities of the in-group. Does Swedes correct their estimations of their own group when the experiment leader is of another ethnicity and has a different colour of skin? The participants were students at Halmstad Högskola and they were all born and raised in Sweden. Half the participants got to meet a Swedish born, white skinned experiment leader, whereas the other group got to meet an African born, dark skinned experiment leader.

The object with the study of this literature was to describe differente programs of care and patients and relatives experience and opinion about the caring for patients with Anorexia Nervosa. The method the author used was a descriptive literature study based on imperial studies. The studies were based on 15 scientific articles within the chosen field. The results shows that these patients hade special needs to be seen and heard as individuals, involved in their own treatment, and have good contact with the caring staff. The study also shows which methods were mostly appreciated involving nurses, patients and relatives.
