Studiens syfte är att studera de bakomliggande sociala faktorerna som kan bidra till utvecklingen av datorspelsberoende. Studien genomfördes kvalitativt genom att intervjua fem personer som själva ansett sig vara datorspelsberoende. Tidigare forskning som berört detta ämne har handlat om hur användare påverkas av spelet, och inte vad som lett fram tillatt det intensiva spelandet påbörjades. Som teoretisk utgångspunkt för studien valdes den utvecklingsekologiska modellen som användes för att studera individen utifrån ett mikro-,meso-, exo-, makroperspektiv. Våra data visar resultat främst på en mikronivå där vi fann att en problematik på denna nivå fanns genomgående för samtliga informanter.

Tidigare vårdforskning inom psykiatrin har främst utgått ifrån personalens erfarenheter. Forskning har visat på ett behov att studera patienters erfarenheter. När det gäller unga vuxnas erfarenheter av psykiatrisk vård saknas forskning och det har därför varit intressant att studera det. Som teoretisk utgångspunkt har Barker och Buchanan-Barkers tidvattenmodell använts. Data samlades in via tre intervjuer som sedan analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

Fysisk aktivitet hos äldre är viktig för att förebygga sjukdom samt för att upprätthålla självständighet och en bra livskvalitet. Fysisk aktivitet går att mäta med instrument, såsom accelerometer eller att skatta med skattningsskalor. Syftet med detta arbete var att undersöka om den fysiska aktiviteten är korrelerad med den fysiska funktionsförmågan och om fysisk aktivitet bestämd med accelerometri går att prediktera med skattningsskalor. I studien inkluderades totalt 27 patienter som opererats för höftfraktur. 14 av dessa var kvinnor med medelåldern 80 år (62-94) och 13 var män med medelåldern 82 år (73-94).

The aim of the essay was to see how the respondents reasoned about different themes like, isolation, integration and barriers to integration, given that they had all been diagnosed with a psychosis diagnosis. The essay takes part of secondary data that had been gathered through interviews by researchers at the department of Research and Development Psychiatric South Stockholm during a 3 year period. To work with the interview data a qualitative interview analysis method was used. The interviews were analyzed against theories of social interaction, labeling, stigma and the theory of ?role exit?.

Bakgrund: Få studier har gjorts inom psykiatrisk omvårdnad med fokus på patientperspektivet. Detta perspektiv är dock viktigt då det ger en inblick i hur patienterna upplever den vård de erhåller. Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva hur patienter på en psykiatrisk vårdavdelning upplever det bemötande de får av avdelningens sjuksköterskor. Metod: Semistrukturerade intervjuer som sedan analyserades med hjälp av kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Resultat: Vid analys av materialet framkom fyra huvudkategorier som samlade de aspekter på bra och mindre bra bemötande som respondenterna beskrivit: Betydelsen av att bli sedd och bekräftad av personalen, Personalens agerande och attityder gentemot patienterna, Önskemål och förväntningar på personalen samt Hur icke-verbal kommunikation påverkar hur bemötandet upplevs.

Abstract: The purpose with this study was to explore different peoples preconceived opinions of three Psychiatric diagnoses; Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), schizophrenia and Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). These designations are accompanied by a definite social stigma, which could have profound effects on a person diagnosed with either disorder. These designations carry the risk of excluding and labelling individuals and could provoke a feeling of abnormality and potentially segregate them from the Community. This study is a qualitative study of six individuals, (sample size equals six). The rationale behind the selection was to get a broad representation of different individuals? opinions.

The aim of the study is to investigate how clinicians in Psychiatric care for adults consider borderline personality disorder to be manifested in men and women, respectively. Could there be a tendency to over-diagnose women and under-diagnose men? In addition, the purpose of the study is to bring clarity to the reasons for gender differences within borderline personality as perceived by the clinicians. The study is based on an inductive approach, in which interviews have been conducted with twelve clinicians working with borderline personality disorders to gain a deeper understanding of how the clinicians consider the manifestations of gender differences.The clinicians described tendencies for women to deliberate self-harm, have mood swings and problems in relations. Men with borderline personality disorders are described as having a higher degree of e.g.

Depression in young adults is a serious condition causing serious suffering for the victim. By finding risk factors for depression the opportunity for early preventive action is increased, which, in turn, may prevent a negative course. Two risk factors which have been shown to be related to depression are shame and rejection. Therefore this study examined the relationship between shameproneness, rejection sensitivity, shame-related events and depressive symptoms. The self-report questionnaires used were TOSCA, RSQ, Shaming index and BDI-II.

Den psykiatriska vården i Sverige liksom i större delen av västvärlden har stått infören strukturförändring de senaste åren. Antalet vårdplatser inom den slutna vården harminskat och ett skifte har skett från institutionsvård till mer öppenvårdsbaserad vård.Dagsjukvård och mobilt team är en ny form av öppenvård som utöver den ordinarieöppna psykiatriska vården byggts upp som ett komplement till den tidigare mestdominerande slutna vården. Syftet med studien var att beskriva hur personal i dennavårdform upplever innehållet i sitt arbete och relationen med patienterna. Fyraintervjuer genomfördes med personer anställda på psykiatriskaöppenvårdsmottagningar i Skaraborg. Fem huvudteman framkom: Att skapa enrelation, Flexibilitet, Hantera och stå ut, Låta det ta tid och Reflektioner ominnehållet i arbetet och att arbeta inom olika vårdformer.

Deliberate self harm as defined pathologically as well as socially is becoming an increasing phenomenon within forensic psychiatry. Nurses working with patients who have self harm behaviour and are confined to forensic psychiatry face different challenges which affect their feelings and attitudes in different ways, in their nursing practice.Purpose: To explore nurses? experiences of caring for patients who suffer from deliberate self harm behaviour and are confined to forensic psychiatry.Method: Qualitative semi- structured interview s from eight nurses working within the forensic Psychiatric clinic. Interviews were analysed by using a qualitative content analysis.Results: They worked strategically and emphasized the importance of teamwork, good communication and urged for the need to get necessary education, staff focused tutoring and patient focused therapy.Conclusion: Need for necessary education, patient focused therapy and staff focused tutor is needed to empower staff working with patients who are confined within forensic psychiatry and suffer from deliberate self harm behaviour..

This qualitative study investigates the conditions on the labour market for disabled people by examining which factors and processes contribute to disabled peoples inclusion to, or exclusion from the open labour market. Stigmatisation is also used as an analytical tool to better understand the exclusion of disabled people from the open labour market. The material to this study is drawn from qualitative interviews with the employees of the Swedish Employment Agency which specialises in supporting disabled people to find employment.  In conclusion, disabled people face several barriers which makes them more susceptible to become excluded from the open labour market. Such excluding barriers include a demand for high efficiency and productivity from employers, bigger cooperation?s and public organisations unwillingness to employ disabled people and prejudices from employers, especially against people with Psychiatric disabilities. The employees of the Swedish Employment Agency suggest that they would be able to work more efficiently to help disabled people find employment if they had to do less administrative work, and would be able to work with fewer clients per employee.

Forensic Psychiatric care is a complex business. Patients who are cared for in forensic psychiatry are usually in need of care for a long time. The forensic care is a major intrusion into a person's life and the nurses and caregivers are the people who spend the most time with patients. They have a difficult mission providing a good and personalized care while patients are deprived of their liberty. Previous research demonstrates that patients experience forensic care as uncertain, insecure and punitive but that there are also glimpses of "good care".

During 2010, 1446 people committed suicide in Sweden. Research shows that groups that are less favored in society have an increased risk of suicide. Social services often encounter groups of people that have a high risk of suicide, for instance welfare recipients or substance abusers. The purpose of this study was to shed light on how social workers talk about suicide and how this might affect interactions with suicidal clients. The study is based on qualitative interviews with five social workers in Stockholm.
