TIA är en kraftig varningssignal för att drabbas av en allvarligare hjärt-kärlhändelse, bland annat stroke. Hjärt-kärlsjukdomar är beroende av levnadsvanor, där låg nivå av fysisk aktivitet är en viktig faktor. Bland de viktigaste behandlingsmetoderna mot hjärt-kärlsjukdomar, både primär - och sekundärpreventivt, är förändring av levnadsvanor. Rådgivning om fysisk aktivitet bör bestå av individanpassade muntliga råd i kombination med skriftlig information och uppföljning. Sjukgymnaster som träffar TIA-patienter har möjlighet att informera patienterna om fysisk aktivitet men det är inte känt i vilken omfattning detta sker.

These systems have been identified as significant time consumers, and Swedish healthcare is therefore facing a major challenge to assure patient safety. The following paper is based on a workplace study, which aims to examine healthcare systems? impact on physicians? practices. Our findings show that physicians spend substantial amounts of time chasing information, rather than managing information and pursuing healthcare.

Bakgrund: Patienter som återfinns inom den psykiatriska vårdkontexten och som lider av samtidig psykisk ohälsa och substansbrukssyndrom, eller dubbeldiagnos, riskerar att mötas av stigmatiserande förhållningssätt på grund av okunskap och förutfattade meningar. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att, genom att intervjua patienter med dubbeldiagnos, belysa deras upplevelser av vårdares bemötande inom den psykiatriska vården. Metod: För att få en djupare förståelse av fenomenet bemötande användes en fenomenologisk-hermeneutisk metod efter inspiration av Lindseth och Norberg (2004). Tre forskningspersoner intervjuades om sina upplevelser av bemötande inom psykiatrisk vård. Resultat: I resultatet framträdde fyra teman; att vara i underläge; att bli medveten om sitt sammanhang; att bli väl mottagen och att bli sedd som en person.

The general objective of this qualitative study is to analyse and describe what people with psychiatric disabilities write on their blogs about their encounters with social workers. The questions the study is aiming to answer are: How do people with psychiatric disabilities describe their encounters with social workers? Do the informants describe instances of paternalism and advocacy? How do the informants describe their sense of meaningfulness, comprehensibility and manageability? The study is based on a theoretical framework in which empowerment and sense of coherence (SOC) are the key elements, along with the concepts of paternalism and advocacy as well as meaningfulness, comprehensibility and manageability. While the technological infrastructure that enables collaboration between municipalities, counties and private health care providers improves, so does the need for health-care providers to gain access to the right patient journal at the right time. For doctors, nurses and other health-care organization employees this goal is achieved by NPÖ, National Patient Summary. NPÖ effectively enables health-care records to be shared across organizational boundaries. This thesis is based on a demand by a mobile application that can give district nurses access to health-care records wherever they are.This thesis describes the development of a prototype of a mobile application aimed for NPÖ. This includes investigating a suitable mobile platform, investigating available card readers for reading electronic identification from SITHS cards and the ability to connect to external services such as NPÖ.

Patients with mental illness experience dissatisfaction with their care due to lack of understanding and ignorance from the nurses. The nurses? approach might influence these patients' experience of their care. The purpose of the literature review was to describe nurses' approach in care of patients with mental illness. The literature review is based on an inductive approach and the result is based on 14 scientific papers, of which eight used a qualitative design and sex used a quantitative design.

Mulitresistent staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a bacteria that is resistent against penicillin, this makes it difficulte to treat. MRSA causes woundinfections and other seriouse conditions. If MRSA establishes in an hospital environment it often spreads fast. Common ways of spreading MRSA is through direct or indirect contact. The nurse should work according to guidelines, apply hygienic routines and prevent the spread of infections.

The purpose of this study is to increase understanding of how nursing home staff at dementia care facilities interpret, treat and manages sexual behavior of patients. Four group interviews were made with a total of thirteen participants from three different dementia care facilities. The collected material was processed and thematized in pursuance of the research questions of the study. The results were analysed using three concepts from queer theory; heteronormativity, the heterosexual matrix and power, as well as an article about how nursing home staff constructs actions of patients. The results showed that staff member?s assessments about the patient?s sexual behaviours depended on their posture towards the norm of what is considered to be acceptable.

Hur omvårdnad kan se ut när den inte är individualiseradDatamaterialet består av omvårdnadsteoretisk litteratur från sent 1800-tal fram till idag och resultatet visar att individualiserad omvårdnad är grunden för god omvårdnad. Denna goda och individualiserade omvårdnad skapas i en jämbördig relation mellan sjuksköterska och patient, en relation där sjuksköterskan lyssnar och kommunicerar.
