Pålarna i Alvastra : En analys av möjliga använda huggverktyg vid byggandet av Alvastra pålbyggnad
This paper deals with the question of with witch tools the Alvastra pile dwelling was built. To reach a result I calculate the curvature on 29 stone axes, 8 double-edged axes and 21 simple-edged axes, used in the middle-neolithic in what today is Sweden. These results are then compared with two jams (the point in the pole where the axes edged stopped and left a mark) on two piles from Alvastra pile dwelling..

Denna undersökning omfattar kamerans inverkan på narrativet i visuella medium. Syftet är att få en insikt i hur kunskap om kameratekniker och ?vinklar påverkar hur åskådaren uppfattar vad regissören vill förmedla, och undvika att fokus sätts på element i filmscener som riskerar att förvirra åskådaren. För att undersöka detta problemområde har litteratur om filmhistoria och kamerateknik använts för att sammanfatta kunskap om hur kameran skall användas, för att förmedla relevant information och bygga upp den effekt som regissören strävar efter. Informationen utifrån detta har därefter tjänat som utgångspunkt för att skapa en kort animerad film med rymdtema där kameran eftersträvar att leverera en konkret visuell upplevelse där vinklar används för att understryka vad varje scen vill förmedla.
Känsla kontra information i fotokommunikation
Photography has a big role in information sharing today. Especially in the hotel
industry where it is the closest thing a customer can get to the product that
is being
sold. This study intends to find out how you can make use of rhetorical models
and
techniques of photography to enhance the communication skills of photos of hotel
rooms. The main focus was to understand the difference between informative and
emotional photographs and what consumers themselves focus on when choosing a
hotel, and also how to use the collected information to create a larger buying
interest
through hotel photography. Using previous research work and quantitative data
collection method, we have concluded that the informational and emotional
photography methods have obvious differences but also many similarities, and are
most effective used together and that the hotel consumer is more aware of the
images
influence then we assumed..

This master's thesis deals with how a school class of 19 students that are 12 years old,perceive the conception of the library and its activities, and how this can be studied by usingfour different approaches: analysis of the children's drawings, analysis of the children'sessays and analysis of their answers to questions in an inquiry and in interviews. Theories ofhow children learn, develop and perceive the world are briefly presented, as we11 as theorynecessary for the analysis.The four different techniques produced in general the same result; the children displayed thesame thoughts, knowledge and values in the drawings, in the essays, in the inquiry andduring the interviews. En ny metod för intraoral röntgenundersökning på häst :
A method for equine intra oral radiology has been tested. In the study, both a digital system with an intraoral sensor connected to a laptop and a system utilizing image plates and digital developing was tested, initially on cadaver sculls and finally on sedated horses.
The digital sensor was not considered viable for this purpose, while the system with image plates and digital developing worked very well. Two different techniques, i.e. parallel and bisectris, are suggested for the best visualization of different parts of the teeth. Intra carious injections of Mixobar oesophaghus contrast fluid was found useful when evaluating the extent of carious lesions.
Compared to extra oral radiology, the new method had several advantages and can be used both in clinic and field practices..
Utformning av GPS- hållare till personbil
Den här rapporten beskriver utvecklingen av en justerbar hållare för Garmins GPS-navigatorer i Nüviserien. Hållaren är framtagen för att passa Saab 9-3 men varianter som passar andra bilare är också beskrivna. Uppdragsgivare är Caran AB i Trollhättan. Under våren 2007 gjorde två studenter från Högskolan Väst ett examensarbete på Caran där de började utveckla en GPS-hållare, men efter att de hade tagit fram ett allmänt koncept tog deras tid slut. Konceptet bygger på en skena som monteras på bilens instrumentpanel.

This study focuses the development on the protection of landscapes with old industries and how it nowadays is appreciated by the inhabitants. The overall aim of this study is to increase the knowledge about how the so called industrial landscape in Norrköping became a cultural heritage that the citizens want to protect. The study also aims to investigate the citizens´ knowledge about the industrial landscape in Norrköping, and what value they think that the place possesses. Data was collected by an information research and six qualitative interviews. The interviews where analysed by qualitative methods techniques.
Touching reality: Exploring how to immerse the user in a virtual reality using a touch device
This paper explores the field of virtual reality and how immersion and presences
can be increased when it comes to navigation and interaction with Virtual
Environments. The availability of VR technology has sparked a trend, especially
in game development. Old ways of designing for interactive environments have to
be revised. This is done by exploring the massive body of work done on VR,
exploring its underlying concepts, using tested design techniques and ways of
evaluating interaction for VR. A design suggestion in the form of utilizing a tablet
device as the main input device is derived.
Systemutveckling: behövs kompletta kravspecifikationer och klara mål?
Detta examensarbete behandlar frågeställningen om man vid framtagningen av nya system behöver använda systemutvecklingsmodeller och är det då fullt möjligt att för kundens räkning framtaga ett system som resulterar i önskvärda funktioner. Detta trots att man inte kräver att kunden ? skall tillhandahålla en utförlig kravspecifikation ? skall ha kunskaper om systemframställning ? skall ha kunskaper om tekniska lösningar ? skall vara fullt engagerad i projektet. Vi påstår även att målet för själva uppgiften ej heller behöver vara självklar då detta oftast förnyas under själva systemframställningen därför att kunden ibland saknar visioner för vad som går att lösa med hjälp av dagens teknik. Vi har studerat i litteraturen och undersökt olika systemutvecklingsmodeller utifrån att de skall fungera tillsammans med kunder som uppfyller ovanstående kriterier.
System Monitor : Ett felsökningssystem för Paperline
When an error occurs in an IT system that is vital for the production of a major industry, the consequences can be great. To quickly identify and correct errors is important as a stop in a system can lead to a break in production, which is costly for the industry. Our task in this thesis has been to develop a system for ÅF that facilitates the debugging process of the system Paperline. The system's target audience is ÅF-call personnel that provides support for Paperline 24 hours a day if something goes wrong. The system consists of a Windows service, a database and a web application and is developed mainly with the techniques C#.NET, MVC 5, Google Charts, Javascript, HTML, CSS, and Entity Framework.

The exclusion of visually impaired from the information flow presented to us through signs was what led me into this project. With a growing amount of information being presented to us on signs and digital information surface the need of communicating this information in a way that could be read by visually impaired is evident. Looking into different ways of communication, my goal was to create something that filled the need of the visually impaired without branding them as disabled. Having a close relative with bad eyesight is became evident on how much it limited her in her everyday life, not being able to navigate herself without the support of her husband. Through interviews with her and others with varying diagnoses I reached an insight in their situation. To my surprise they still favored a visual form of communication before an auditory or tactile form, because it?s easy to survey and quick to interpret.
Internet som Relationsbyggare inom fotbollen : En fallstudie av Kalmar FF
The purpose with this essay is to analyze how football clubs can use Internet in sense of creating stronger relations towards their supporters and build an excellent experience before and after a specific football game. We have used the Swedish football club Kalmar FF as a role model throughout the essay. The techniques of the modern world are escalating and the World Wide Web tends to be more important in the way of creating experiences and relations. The essay is based on a qualitative research method which is based on and contains four independent interviews. The persons have been chosen by us for their knowledge in the specific subject.

The purpose of this Master Thesis is to analyze what suitable hardware platforms there are on the market in order to build a low price control and information system for mobile applications, called small display module. The thesis will be underlying material for making a decision for further development. The result of the thesis consists mainly of a Windows CE kernel and a schematic for a CPU card, on which it would be suitable to build the display module. Another major part of the report is the introduction of different techniques that could be of interest when designing a processor based system. The processor architecture that was chosen is the x86.
