This essay discusses the legal and economic functions of the trademark and furthermore the degeneration of trademarks. These two concepts are strongly connected as the primary function of the trademark is the ability to separate the proprietor of the trademark?s product from the competitors´ products. The ability to separate is the basic condition for receiving legal Protection. Through degeneration the trademark loses this ability to separate the product and becomes a generic term for the category of the product.

Denna studie vill däremot förflytta fokus från kvinnors hinder till deras möjligheter. Studiens syfte är att lyfta fram kvinnliga mellanchefers egna berättelser om vad de anser har lett till deras framgång i karriären. En kvalitativ metod användes i form av fem stycken semistrukturerade intervjuer som analyserades med hjälp av tematiskanalys. Fyra stycken teman återfanns i materialet och de representerar de framgångsfaktorer som kvinnorna la störst vikt vid.

This paper attempts to study the Swedish tariffs during the interwar period in order to asses the level of Protectionism in Swedish tariff policy during the period. It is foremost the nominal tariffs that are studied, however an estimate of the effective rate of Protection of the tariffs is also calculated for a number of goods. In order to asses the level of Protectionism, the Swedish tariffs are also compared with Finnish tariff levels during the interwar period.The sample of Swedish tariffs that have been studied in this paper include the fifteen most important kinds of import goods and the fifteen most important kinds of export goods. The nominal tariff of each kind of goods have been weighted by their share of the total import value.The Swedish specific tariffs did not change much during the interwar period except for a few goods such as petroleum, coffee and automobiles. The fluctuation in nominal tariffs were in most cases the result of the steep fall in prices during the period.

Botulism is a serious disease with high mortality that can affect horses. Due to this about 20-30 percent of the horses in Sweden are vaccinated against botulism. The purpose of this study was to see how common botulism is in the Swedish horse population and to se if a connection between feeding with haylage and botulism could be seen. In addition to this, the study aimed to find how common vaccination against botulism is among Swedish horses and on what grounds the diagnosis botulism is made. Medical records of horses being diagnosed with botulism at all the major large animal hospitals in Sweden between 1995-2005 were searched. In addition to this the database where general practitioners report their cases as well as the cases with botulism reported to the insurance companies were included. The results of this study show that only 0,03 percent of the Swedish horse population has been diagnosed with botulism during the time period this study covers. In all the cases included in this study the diagnosis was made based on clinical signs and in none of the cases verification by isolating the toxin was possible. In all cases where forage is noted in the journals the horse has been feed haylage which indicate that there is a connection between the use of haylage and botulism. Three horses died despite being partially vaccinated against botulism type B which indicate that a correct vaccination has to be done before the horse get any Protection or that the correct diagnosis was not botulism type B..

Aim: The aim of this essay is to study the work of an alcohol company?s (Pernod Ricard) corporate social responsibility and how this work is being communicated to the company?s stakeholders. Furthermore I aim to describe the profile of the specific company, in other words how they wish their stakeholders to experience the company. I will then compare this profile with the image of how the interviewed stakeholders actually perceive the corporate social responsibility activities. Are there any differences?Material/Method: Together with literature and document studies, a qualitative method has been used and four focus group interviews with a total of 16 stakeholders have been conducted.Main results: The main results from the focus group interviews showed that the stakeholders appreciated corporate social responsibility work that focuses on the Protection of young people.

Denna studie åsyftar att undersöka om produktutvecklande B2B företag använder sig av sina kunders tysta kunskap i sin innovationsprocess. Studien ämnar även att undersöka vilka redskap eller stimuli som de berörda företagen företrädesvis använder sig av i kunskapsdelningsprocessen.Den undersökningsmetod som valts är en flerfallsstudie av kvalitativ art och den har bedrivits genom semistrukturerade intervjuer. Data analyserades genom en abduktiv analysmetod. Fem produktproducerande företag har deltagit i studien. Resultatet visar att de redskap och stimuli som används mest frekvent av de undersökta företagen i avsikt att nå sina kunders kunskap är förtroende, "face to face" möten, prototyper och bilder.

Tillsammans med Landstinget i Jönköpings län driver de projektet P.U.M.A, Produktutveckling med Medicinsk AnknytningExamensarbetet omfattar utveckling av ett skydd till en trevägskran.Skyddets syfte är att förhindra ofrivillig justering av de kranar som används vid intravenös infusion av cytostatika, då patienten behandlas i hemmet.Vid behandling flödar cytostatikan genom en trevägskran. Kranen monteras på patienten, som har hudkontakt med denna under hela behandlingen.I den teoretiska bakgrunden beskrivs metoder för produktutveckling och en rad återkommande begrepp i rapporten.Vid genomförandet gjordes inledningsvis en marknadsundersökning, vilken utgjorde underlag för produktkraven.Efter idégenerering genomfördes sållning i två faser för att sortera bort koncept som ej uppfyllde ställda krav.Sållningen följdes upp med tillverkning av enkla prototyper, vilka utvärderades och låg till grund för val av slutgiltigt koncept.Examensarbetet resulterade i ett färdigt koncept som uppfyller de krav som ställdes med avseende på funktion, säkerhet, pris och miljö. Vid eventuell massproduktion av produkten kommer ytterligare tester och finjustering av konstruktionen krävas..

VBG Produkter AB is a process-orientated company that develops, manufactures and markets trailer couplings with belonging coupling equipment, Protection equipment against skidding and stands for wagon-bridge for heavy vehicles. The company feels that their set-up time in production for couplings is not at an acceptable level. Due to high demands of customer oriented production the intermediate stock level of included products within the assembly of couplings has gradually increased which has resulted in high inventory holding costs. VBG Produkter applies Kanban in their production, therefore it is important to produce exactly the necessary amount and avoid overproduction. The objective of this project is to suggest appropriate solutions so that VBG Produkter is able to reduce their set-up time in assembly of couplings, by identifying internal and external set-up time for the chosen process bushing cell.

Vattenfall Vattenkraft is using lead acid batteries but has been investigating alternatives to replace them. The aim of this study is to investigate the potential of using Li-ion technology as back up power.The study showed that Li-ion batteries have many qualities. The Li-ion technology will decrease the space and maintenance demand.

This paper evaluates the prospects for utilizing aquaculture effluents as a nutrient source in organic hydroponic, as is the case in aquaponics. The development of organic hydroponics is dependent on replacing synthetic fertilizers with organically derived nutrients, such as those found in aquaculture effluents. Also, in hydroponic cultivation the establishment of a plant pathogen suppressive micro flora is part of the plant Protection strategy. Therefore, both nutritional and microbial qualities of aquaculture water and organic hydroponic nutri-ent solution were analyzed and compared. Results showed both aquaculture water and or-ganic hydroponic solution to be deficient in a number of essential elements, although or-ganic hydroponic solution was closer to recommendations.

In the following cases a national authority is responsible for providing the requisite rescue service:1. The aim of this study was to examine what impact restored and constructed pounds and wetlands have on waterfowls in the area of Linköping. The birdlife in five constructed wetlands werechosen to investigate if specific factors like age, size and vegetation affected the avian diversity in wetlands. Also, extra focus has been given to the threatened Horned Grebe (Podiceps Auritus), breeding in the studied area. The results showed that the number of species as well as individuals of waterfowl and Horned Grebe changed over time in what might be a result of succession in the wetlands. Comparing the number of birds to the size of the wetlands showed a clear correlation. Larger areas inhabited greater numbers of species and individuals.
