Detta är en kvalitativ studie som syftar till att uppmärksamma de konstruerade bilder som finns av personer som säljer sexuella tjänster samt hur dessa förhåller sig till varandra och påverkar det sociala arbetet. Undersökningen belyser tre olika perspektiv; sexsäljares, yrkesverksammas inom socialt arbete och samhällets. Genom intervjuer lyfts tankar, känslor och attityder fram kring vad det kan innebära att sälja sexuella tjänster. Sammanlagt har elva personer medverkat i studien varav fem har personlig erfarenhet av att sälja sexuella tjänster och sex personer har erfarenhet av arbete med prostitutionsfrågor inom socialt arbete. För att belysa de olika konstruktionerna utifrån ett samhällsperspektiv har artiklar och litteratur i anknytning till ämnet studerats.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to describe and compare the debates regarding the public funded publishing company En bok för alla (EBFA). On two occasions, 1992 and 2007, the public funding was threatened, which lead to debates and protests. The funding was revoked in 2007. I want to examine if by studying a particular product of cultural policy, one can se tendencies to how the cultural policy in whole change over time.

Denna studie avser att ur en positivistisk ansats analysera hur marknadsförare bättre kan nå ut till invandrarbefolkningen, inte minst i anslutning till de större utländska högtiderna. Syftet är att försöka få handlarna att förbättra marknadsföringen mot denna målgrupp och nå ut med ett budskap som de kan identifiera sig med. Undersökningen belyser ur ett nytt, innovativt och explorativt perspektiv de faktorer som kan tänkas inverka på marknadsföringen och ägnar särskilt uppmärksamhet åt Parsons teori, Homophily teorin och nischmarknadsföring. Undersökningen är uppdelad i en förstudie där kontakt tagits med reklambyråer för livsmedelskedjor och belyser forskningsproblemet ur deras synvinkel. Huvudstudien genomfördes via en enkätundersökning och syftar till att belysa problemet ur målgruppens synvinkel.

In the school political debate that is conducted in Sweden the question of grading is an ongoing topic of discussion. During the past year there has been a lively discussion about introducing grade from year four as suggested by the right wing parties. The purpose of this study is to set the teaching faculties? view and arguments in relation to the politicians' opinion in the ongoing debate about the proposal of introducing grades from year four. Furthermore, the aim is to investigate how central the didactic arguments are in relation to other arguments in the current debate.

Syftet med uppsatsen var att belysa situationen för kvinnor inom könshandeln, hur man försökt skapa förändring för dem genom lagen som förbjuder köp av sexuella tjänster samt att söka kunskap om vad som förändrats avseende situationen för kvinnor inom könshandeln sedan lagen infördes. Jag har intervjuat två personer som arbetar professionellt med kvinnor inom könshandeln och en kvinna som har egen erfarenhet av könshandel. I uppsatsen använde jag mig främst av intervjuerna och kompletterade med de utredningar och rapporter som kretsar kring lagstiftningen som förbjuder köp av sexuella tjänster. De två teoretiska perspektiv jag valde var feminism och stämplingsteori. Det rådande synsättet är att prostitution anses skadligt på många plan, främst far den säljande parten illa och därför infördes denna lag.

This Master?s thesis is an analysis of metaphors in relation to actors, and of discourses used in the copyright-debate in two major Swedish daily newspapers and one American: Göteborgs-Posten, Svenska Dagbladet and New York Times during the years 2001-2006. We aim to answer the following questions: Which metaphors were being used in the copyright-debate to create the archetypal villain, hero, winner and loser in editorials, debate and letters to the editor in the three newspapers? Which discourses did those metaphors relate or conform to? Which similarities or differences could be found when comparing the two countries? newspapers regarding representations and constructions of villains, heroes, winners and losers in the copyright-debate? Firstly we distinguished who the actors in the debate were, following parts of Theo van Leeuwen?s actors? analysis. Secondly we distinguished which metaphors were being used to describe the actors as either villains, heroes, winners or losers.

The purpose of this essay is to describe and analyze the debate surrounding the construction of the 2011 years curriculum of the Swedish schools` religious studies. The debate is concerning whether or not Christianity should have a unique position in the curriculum against other religions. The method is to analyze the arguments by an argument analysis. The purpose is also to analyze the argumentation to see how secularization and pluralism have influenced the debate and the different standpoints. The essays material consists of debate articles from the four largest news sites on the internet.The most common argument for Christianity?s unique position is that Christianity has had an important role in the development of the Swedish society, culture and literature and is therefore important knowledge for understanding the Swedish society.

In this essay I will look at the independence of the Swedish municipalities. By looking at articles for the biggest journal in Sweden on this subject Kommun aktuellt I will look at the discussion for the years of 1978 and 1998 to see if one can draw some parallels in the debate and see if some subjects are always returning in the agenda for the independence. The autonomy of the Swedish municipalities is a very important part of the Swedish welfare model. The municipalities handles for example both the primary schools and the social welfare services. Both these institutions are money draining and the municipals right by law to claim local tax does far from all the time cover its expenses.

In this essay, the aim is to empirically and theoretically study the parliamentary debate of the child pornography law. The empirical part is an attempt to discover eventual underlying gender stereotypes in the debate. A text analysis is conducted with material consisting of motions from members of parliament and of protocols from the parliamentary debate. In this material we try to find latent and manifest expressions of gender stereotypes. There are several stereotypes, which effects the argumentation and prejudice of the debate, like stereotypes of the victims, the perpetrators and their characteristics.

Syftet med vår studie har varit att studera hur några unga män reflekterar kring köp av sexuell(a) tjänst(er) samt till vilka eventuella diskurser om köp av sexuella tjänster som dessa reflektioner kan tänkas anknyta till. För att svara på vårt syfte har vi valt oss av följande frågeställningar: Hur diskuteras köp av sexuella tjänster utifrån en individ- och samhällsnivå med fokus på fri(villig)het och ansvar? Är detta förhållningssätt någonting som förändras utifrån om köpet görs på olika arenor som internet eller utomlands? Påverkar köparens eventuella motiv bakom köpet diskussionen kring köp av sexuella tjänster? Vilka diskurser kring prostitution uppkommer i deras diskussion och vilka är de mest framträdande? Vi har genomfört tre stycken internetbaserade fokusgruppsintervjuer via msn-chatt och sammanlagt deltog 13 intervjupersoner, 11 via fokusgruppsintervjuer samt ytterligare två via e-post. Vår urvalsgrupp, unga män i åldern 18-29 år, rekryterades via öppen annonsering på två olika ungdomsforum, Ungdomar.se samt Fryshuset.se samt via Facebook.com. Som ett försök att förstå de olika resonemang som lyfts angående köp av sexuella tjänster i de övergripande samhällsdiskurserna inspireras vi i studien av att koppla intervjupersonernas reflektioner till fem olika förståelsediskurser; sexköp som ekonomisk verksamhet, sexköp som våld, sexköp som social konstruktion, sexköp som drift och sexköp som beroende.

The aim of this study is to illuminate and discuss a case of political steering, specifically Managment-By-Objectives (MBO) in Swedish municipalities, from a democratic perspective. The essay examines a discrepancy between MBO in the Swedish municipalities and democratic theory.To fulfil the aim of the study one leading politician and one leading civil servant from five municipalities have been interviewed on this matter. This material is discussed in the light of a democratic theory constructed specifically for this essay. The democratic theory consists of three main democratic values in the democratic process: debate, transparence and the ability to demand political accountability.The main conclusion is that there is a contradiction in the use of MBO and the democratic values of debate, transparence and the ability to demand political accountability. MBO has resulted in a lack of debate and transparency and furthermore, it has made it increasingly more difficult to demand political accountability..

This essay studies the concept of "livspusslet", a term in swedish that directly translates as "the jigsaw puzzle of life". In recent public debate it has been used to articulate issues concerning the combination of family life and a professional career. The empirical material consists of newspaper articles from nationwide daily newspapers Dagens Nyheter and Svenska Dagbladet between 2009 and 2011. The concept of "livspusslet" relates to the debate about family values, gender equality and the public view on the issue of combining family life with a career. The widespread use of the concept indicates that the social practices surrounding the debate over family policy is shifting.

Uppsatsen syftar till att utreda hur den gällande rätten ser ut avseende förbudet mot köp av sexuell tjänst. Då lagen från olika håll har blivit kritiserad för att vara en symbollag och sakna effektivitet har det varit författarnas ambition att närmare undersöka syftet bakom lagen och hur rättstillämpningen fungerat i praktiken. Under arbetets gång har det framkommit att lagen främst anses skydda samhälleliga intressen, såsom bekämpandet av prostitution och den kringliggande kriminaliteten. För att en sexköpare ska dömas för köp av sexuell tjänst krävs att en tillfällig sexuell förbindelse ägt rum i utbyte mot ersättning. Den av rättspraxis fastslagna påföljden för enstaka köp av sexuell tjänst är 50 dagsböter, något som är jämförbart med påföljden för snatteri.

The aim of this study was to shed light on the phenomenon of sex purchase amongst men from the perspective of professionals working at KAST*. Our main research questions concerned who the sex-purchasing men are, what their incentives are and furthermore how the professionals depict their work with these clients. In order to examine this we conducted three qualitative research interviews. The theoretical framework used to examine our results consisted of social constructivism and professional acting space. Main results show, contrary to research, that the ?typical? sex buyer does not exist, nor do specific motives.
