Holmen Skog is currently using a GPS-program called TraktInfo, originally developed within the company. They are now planning to switch to a new GPSprogram or allowing the contractors to buy other programs available from the logging equipment manufacturers. To be able to offer this flexibility, Holmen Skog needs to obtain information about the features offered by the different manufacturers in their specific programs, and also when the manufacturers are planning to start selling programs adapted to the new standard called StanFord2010. According to the study, the manufacturers are hesitant to StanFord2010 and there has also been a lack of clear signals from the customers and clients about what kind of different new features to include in the programs. The feature most frequently used by forest machine operators today is the option to keep record of the harvester?s path by creating a ?log plot?. This feature was not used to its full potential however, since only one out of eight of the forwarders included in the study had computers that were compatible with the harvester?s computer.

Examensarbetet undersöker vilka lösningsmetoder elever på yrkesförberedande program använder sig av när de löser lineära ekvationer efter det att A-kursen i matematik avslutats. En viktig fråga har varit att se huruvida elever har tillägnat sig de formella lösningsmetoderna som traditionellt har betonats i undervisningen. Ämnet är relevant eftersom det inom forskningen finns vissa bevis för att många elever betraktar algebra som en mekanisk regelföljande aktivitet utan mening, och att det dessutom är vanligt att elever på framförallt yrkesförberedande program saknar grundläggande baskunskaper i matematik. Ämnet har undersökts med hjälp av ett skriftligt test till gymnasieelever med efterföljande intervjuer. Resultatet visar att de flesta eleverna i studien främst använder sig av informella metoder, och att de formella metoderna i kontrast har lett till ett antal missuppfattningar.

Elever på gymnasiet ska enligt styrdokumenten ha inflytande över sitt eget lärande och alltså över de lärandesituationer som finns i skolan. Att så inte alltid är fallet visar flera undersökningar, och även detta examensarbete, vars syfte varit att undersöka elevinflytandet på ett estetiskt program, och i denna undersökning försöka gradera elevernas inflytande enligt en modell utarbetad av en konsult i inflytandefrågor. Syftet har också varit att undersöka hur elevernas inflytande gestaltar sig samt jämföra elevernas upplevelser med lärarnas intentioner vad gäller elevinflytandet. Undersökningen utgjordes av en noggrann granskning av styrdokument och rapporter gällande elevinflytande, av aktuell forskning, samt genom enkäter till alla elever vid ett estetiskt program på en skola i norra Skåne. De deltagande lärarna intervjuades.

This project is based on my fathers farm which lays outside Löberöd, twenty kilometres south of Eslöv in Skåne. While my family for some time have thought about building a new milkingstable with AMS(Automatic milking system) I decided to compare the AMS with a conventional milkingstable. We are abit concerned about how many cows we should have in the new stable. Because of that I calculated with two different number of cows. I have compared three different types of milking stables: One alternative is 180 cows milked in a double eigth hearing bone milking stable. The second alternative is 128 cows milked with two DeLaval VMS-robots. The third alternative is 171 cows milked with three DeLaval VMS-robots. One salesman from DeLaval and one salesman from A-betong helped me to get marketprices on the milkingrobots, building, ventilation and prices on all the concrete. In all the costs labour is included. The rest of the costs are calculated in a softwareprogram called K-data 03 which is a program with predicted costs. The calulations from the program showed that the price in the milkingpit system was 51 000 sek per cow.

The purpose of this study has been to examine how the image of the gambler is described by studying a report published by Folkhälsoinstituet [FHI] and a number of chosen articles from the Swedish Evening Press. Discourse theory has been used both as theory, together with social constructionism, and as a research method. The main conclusions of the study are that three different discourses can be identified: the normal gambler, the professional gambler and the problem gambler. The image of the problem gambler is described as a deviant and problematic minority characterized by loss of control, irrational thoughts and dissociative behaviour. The construction of the problem gambler fills three possible purposes for the state: As a solvable problem to handle criticism against negative consequences of gambling, as an argument to avoid competition on the market and as an individual characterized by loss of control in order to legitimize and make the construction of the normal gambler possible..

The study examines the meaning of having a dog in the workplace of personnel who work with therapy. The purpose was to examine the personnel?s view of dogs in their work envi-ronment. The study uses two theories. One is ?psychosocial work environment? and the other theory used is ?symbolic interactionism?.

This essay is about the massive Iranian aid to Hezbollah and the Saudi Arabian, likewise, towards the Taliban. The main view is that the two countries aid respective aid to Hezbollah and the Taliban is/were not a gesture of goodwill but rather an economic method of getting influence and controlling the receiver. This view that is based on a theory called; economic statecraft. The economic statecraft theory is used in this paper to investigate why Iran?s influence towards Hezbollah has been successful while the Saudis ambitions with the Taliban have failed.

En anledning till att många elever upplever bråkräkning som svårt kan vara att räkning med tal i bråkform inte förekommer i vardagslivet lika ofta som förr. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka om det fanns några eventuella brister hos elever, som går första året på gymnasiet, när de räknade med tal i bråkform. Kan grundskolan i så fall göra något för att motverka detta? Vi ville samtidigt studera hur eleverna förklarade och motiverade sina tankegångar.För att ta reda på detta genomförde vi en diagnos med tal i bråkform och till svaren skulle eleverna skriva motiveringar och beräkningar. Vi skickade även en enkät till de gymnasielärare som undervisar eleverna för att få deras syn på resultatet.Resultatet visar att många elever saknar tillräckliga baskunskaper för att klara bråkräkning, vilket också lärarnas enkätundersökning signalerar.

Liveanalys är ett begrepp som i detta arbete innebär att man undersöker ett datorsystem under tiden det är igång. Detta kan göras av flera skäl, t.ex. när det är risk för att kryptering finns på systemet vilket kan aktiveras när det stängs ner. Annars är det vanligt om man vill undersöka nätverkskopplingar, aktiva processer eller andra företeelser som kan vara volatila, dvs. försvinner när systemet stängs ner.

Syftet med examensarbetet var att undersöka gymnasielärares uppfattningar om hotell- och restaurangprogrammets och livsmedelsprogrammets hygienkurs LMK 1204, och utifrån det konstruera en kursplan för nämnd kurs. Arbetet ger en översikt av tidigare forskning om lärares arbete på yrkesförberedande gymnasieprogram, och elevers på samma program uppfattningar om sin utbildning. Vi har arbetat med kvalitativ metodteori och intervjuat lärare på hotell- och restaurangprogrammet och livsmedelsprogrammet om deras uppfattningar om hygienkursen LMK 1204. Med utgångspunkt i de teman vi fick fram vi analys av intervjumaterialet, konstruerade vi en egen kursplan. Sammanfattningsvis tyckte lärarna att det är svårt att kombinera teori med praktik i undervisningen och att få tid till att samarbeta med andra lärare.

The aim with this study was to examine professional peoples' view on the reason why females, under the age of 18 years old, self-harm and the professionals view on their treatment. The study is qualitative and based on eight interviews with professional personnel who work with young females with self-harm behavior in the region of Skåne. To be able to analyze our qualitative interviews we used two theories; the attachment theory and trauma theory. The results of this study show that there are many different functions with the self-harm behavior and that the cause of the behavior can be different among the females. Most of the young females seem to self-harm to reduce anxiety but some also do it to punish themselves, to feel alive or to belong to a group of friends.

BRP Systems utvecklar och säljer affärssystem till mindre och medelstora tjänsteföretag. Huvudsystemet är en Java Swing-applikation och för att få bättre struktur på programmet önskar man vid utvecklingen använda ett lämpligt ramverk om något sådant går att identifiera. Denna rapport undersöker två sådana ramverk.Ett ramverk kan användas som hjälp vid utvecklingen av komplexa applikationer. De fungerar som en grund till applikationen som utvecklas och kan erbjuda olika hjälpfunktioner som ofta behövs i vanliga program. Ramverk kan även få källkoden att bli mer strukturerad och lättunderhållen.

The purpose of this essay is to investigate and analyze how widely and intensive genderequality issues are considered within Swedish companies. Qualitative interviews werearranged with personnel managers within each company, and complemented with aquestionnaire amongst the employees. The collected information was analysed on the basis ofgender theory, organization and change theory, theory of equal opportunities and historicalstatistics. The outcome of the analysis indicates that companies find gender equality of highinterest, and important to address within the daily work. However the analysis also shows thateven though the companies find gender equality important it is only adopted within few areas,and not across all departments.

AbstractAll headmasters want to lead teachers so that the students will achieve their own goals as well as the goals of the education. The salutogenic leadership is a way to lead in the right direction. This type of leadership depends on Antonovski?s (2005) theory of Sense of coherence. The theory of Sense of coherence is built on the concepts of comprehensibility, manageability and meaningfulness.

AbstractOne aim of this thesis, has been to explore how discursive frames are constructed, frames to relate to, compare with, and therefore be part in shaping political subjects. The other aim has been connected with a more empirical platform, where I wanted to discover how these frames are established and structured discursively within a political organization, among its members; in this case with a foucs on the Swedish social democracy and its former leader Olof Palme. The thesis starts with a theoretical presentation and discussion, where focus is on the concepts of ideology, discourse theory in the form of Laclau and Mouffe, and narrative theory. The concepts will be presented and discussed, and also related to the other concepts to see their theoretical potential, both ontologically and epistemologically. Finally the theoretical rudiment is linked and analyzed with the empirical material.
