This thesis has aimed to study steering process and institutionalization in the context of educational policy work. This has been conducted by using empirical material from the political decision-making process that preceded the implementation of a new national program on how principals should be educated and certified. By using an aggregated theoretical point of view containing new institutionalism and traditional Swedish curriculum theory, the process was analyzed from different perspectives. The results depict a process that contained several actors who tried to shape the principal education program differently. From the theoretical perspectives, the decision-making process could be understood as an act of both self-interest as well as trust in their own beliefs and cultural values.

Abstract The purpose of this study was to find out how leisure educator´s reason about children?s learning and development, and their view of their own role in the process. Four leisure educators were interviewed to answer these questions. The study is based on qualitative interviews, wich means that the interviewer must interpret and understand what the respondents want to say. This is to get a deeper knowledge of the subject. The results show that the leisure educators believe they have a large and important role in children's development and learning.

Syftet med detta examensarbete är att belysa på vilket eller vilka sätt lärare i gymnasieskolan förknippar elevers grupparbete med skolutveckling. Vilka pedagogiska tankar ligger bakom lärares användande av grupparbete som arbetsmetod, hur ser de på att träna elever i grupparbete och hur ser de på förhållandet mellan grupparbete och skolutveckling? Undersökningen är av kvalitativ karaktär där metoden för insamling av data består av enskilda intervjuer med sju gymnasielärare som arbetar på både yrkesinriktade och studieförberedande program. Resultatet visar att lärarna som arbetar på rent yrkesinriktade program framförallt ser elevers grupparbete som en förberedelse för deras framtida yrkesliv, medan lärare på studieförberedande program tenderar att tala mer om vilken nytta grupparbete har för eleverna i skolsituationen. Vid en analys av hur lärarna ser på att träna elever i grupparbete ser man att vissa av lärarna är mer konkreta i sitt resonemang kring om och hur de arbetar med att träna eleverna i grupparbete, medan vissa är mer abstrakta i sitt resonemang.

Användandet av mobiltelefoner har blivit en del av vår vardag i dagens samhälle. Mobiltelefonindustrin är en miljard industri med stora företag som Motorola, Nokia och Sony Eriksson. De senaste åren har det även kommit in nya aktörer på marknaden som Apple med sin iPhone och Google med sitt mobiltelefons?operativsystem Android. Dessa aktörer har kommit ut med flera nya mobiltelefonmodeller som använder sig ut av pekskärmar.

This essay will examine in which way festival tourism can affect the physical location of a festival and to operationalize this we implemented a case study of the music festival Storsjöyran. Storsjöyran is a Swedish music festival held annually in the city of Östersund and since the festival, with the accompanying festival week, attract up to 300 000 visitors annually, we wanted to see what impact the festival contributed to from a development perspective of the destination. The method for gathering data has consisted of both qualitative and quantitative approaches and the data was collected via interviews and questionnaires. We also presented various theories about festival tourism and destination development, as well as previous research on urban festivals. The conclusion is that Storsjöyran contributes to a variety of factors which can help Östersund to a destination development and increased tourism.

Den här rapporten undersöker distansutbildningar vid Högskolan i Kalmar, på Institutionen för kommunikation och design (IKD). Dels tas det upp hur IKD jobbar med distansstudier idag men även hur distansutbildning fungerar och hur man kan förbättra denna. Anledningen är att distansutbildningar idag är ett utvecklingsområde där det ständigt händer nya saker. Distansutbildning är kanske på väg att revolutionera sättet på vilket vi idag bedriver utbildning, både i grundskolan och upp till högskola/universitet.Uppdraget kommer från lärarna på IKD som känner att de vill förbättra sin situation. Undersökningen genomfördes med hjälp av etnografiska studier där undervisning observerades och lärare intervjuades.

The object for this study is a company developing and manufacturing vehicles for heavy transportation. The company distributes their products on a global market. Therefore the company is required to have efficient internal production development processes in order to successfully beat the competition. The purpose of this master thesis is to study how this particular company intends to implement their standardized theoretical product development process within their organization and how well it is done. We intend to identify and specify if the process has any unexploited capacity.

The aim of this study is to examine educationalists experiences of play as an educational toolin the work to promote the social development in children with autism.The relevant issue, for this study, is: In what way does an educationalist work with play withchildren with autism? What are the results of using play in the educational work? What arethe possibilities and what are the obstacles in using play in educational work?This study has been carried out as a study of literature in the field and qualitative interviewswith five educationalists that are working in a mid Swedish county.The result of the study shows that educationalists have a positive view of using play in theirwork and are using play in varying ways in their everyday work. Using play as a method intheir work always happens according to the ability and condition of the child. They (theeducationalists) think that play has great opportunity and advance as a method and gives thechildren joy, increase their sense of ability, the base for the social participation in play, andthe development of social skills.There is a certain hesitation among educationalists when it comes to using play as a methodfor children with autism , but the most of the educationalists consider play as promoting thesocial development although the development always will happen at the pace(rate)of thechild..

Bakgrunden till vårt val av ämnesområde har uppkommit eftersom vår uppfattning är att den undervisning som sker i värdegrundsfrågor, många gånger fungerar i klassrummen, ändå uppstår konflikter av olika slag utanför klassrummet, till exempel på skolgården eller i korridorerna. Syftet är att, genom en kvalitativ studie, undersöka lärares uppfattningar av villkor för värdegrundsarbetets betydelse för eleverna i skolans tidiga år. I studien analyseras hur lärare förstår samspelet mellan å ena sidan undervisning i värdefrågor och å andra sidan elevers tillämpning i deras praktik. Metoden baseras på enskilda intervjuer med sex lärare som arbetar i skolans tidiga år. I studien redogörs kortfattat för tre perspektiv på lärande, vilka är tolkade ur respondenternas utsagor.

Each year approximately 2,000 new detailed development plans are accepted in Sweden. When an area is covered by a new detailed development plan, it is often necessary that land has to be acquired to adjust the property units to the new plan. The owner conditions of the property units can usually be adjusted through negotiations between the seller and the buyer. Example of that is who the writer of the document is, the time it took to write it and where on the computer the document is saved. Text that has been changed or removedcan also be saved. This information is not shown in the program and the user will therefore not be aware of its existence.

SammanfattningGymnasieskolan har genomgått olika reformer vilka har fått betydande konsekvenser för skolan. Införandet av kärnämnen på samtliga program har lett till att gymnasieskolan befinner sig i ett krisläge där elever inte slutför sina studier eller också tar studenten med icke godkända betyg. Forskningen, som ligger till grund för debatten i skolan, menar att åtgärder bör genomföras. En av de åtgärder som lyfts fram är samverkan mellan kärnämneslärare och karaktärsämneslärare. Olika styrdokument för gymnasieskolan betonar också samverkan.Syftet med denna studie är att beskriva olika lärares uppfattningar och erfarenheter av samverkan, samt att belysa vilka hinder och förutsättningar som lärarna ser för samverkan.

Utbildning blir allt viktigare. För dem som saknar en gymnasial utbildning har det blivit svårareatt få ett jobb. Läsåret 2009/2010 var 88,2 procent behöriga till gymnasieskolans nationellaprogram. För den som är obehörig är Individuella programmet ett alternativ, där elever under ettår kan skaffa sig behörighet. Det har visat sig att elever som går ett år på det Individuellaprogrammet (IV) och sedan studerar på ett nationellt program i högre grad än andra, görstudieavbrott.
