Syftet med föreliggande examensarbete har varit att undersöka vilka orsakerna är till att elever på ett gymnasium i Halmstads kommun väljer att göra ett program omval till Fordonsprogrammet. Uppsatsen bygger på åtta kvalitativa intervjuer med elever samt en intervju med en studie- och yrkesvägledare.Ett antal orsaker till omval har framkommit i undersökningens resultat. Eleverna saknade intresse för det program de kom in på eller var osäkra. Även skoltrötthet och bristfällig information angavs som skäl.Tydligen är det också så att eleverna har en för vag bild utav hur gymnasieskolan är uppbyggd. Flera av eleverna uttrycker att det är först när man börjat på gymnasieskolan som man förstår innebörden av hur mycket teori som finns och hur de praktiska ämnena är upplagda.

This thesis shows the result from investigations of methods that use distance vectors when matching pictures. The distance vectors are available in a distance map made by the Euclidean Distance Transform. The investigated methods use the two characteristic features of the distance vector when matching pictures, length and direction. The length of the vector is used to calculate a value of how good a match is and the direction of the vector is used to predict a transformation to get a better match. The results shows that the number of calculation steps that are used during a search can be reduced compared to matching methods that only uses the distance during the matching..

Syftet med uppsatsen var att öka kunskapen om och förståelsen för ungdomars attityder till sex. Den här studien fokuserade på ungdomars kognitiva dimensioner i form av kunskaper, information, föreställningar och attityder. Huvudfrågan var vilken attityd ungdomar har till sex, i en jämförelse mellan pojkar och flickor respektive elever på studieförberedande och yrkesförberedande program. Vi gjorde en kvantitativ enkätstudie med 116 elever i årskurs tre på Tessins gymnasium i Nyköping. Studien genomfördes i sju klasser inom yrkesförberedande program respektive studieförberedande program.

 Syftet med studien är att undersöka några elevers uppfattning av sin studiegång på det individuella programmet (IV). Samt belysa i vilken utsträckning utbildningen individanpassas. En kvalitativ forskningsmetod användes. Sju elever intervjuades som går sitt första år på det individuella programmet. Undersökningen belyser hur eleverna trivs på IV och vad de tycker om sin utbildning.

Växjö is a medium-sized town situated in the centre of the county Småland in Sweden with a good infrastructure and logistics and with a university that encourages cooperation with private and public companies. It is in this town that our case study of Småland Airport will take place. The aim of this study is to examine in which way the program of Library and Information Science at the Linnaeus University in Växjö offers knowledge that can be relevant for the staff at the airport in Växjö - Småland Airport. Using Wilsons model as our theoretical framework we examine how these two align with each other and by using a matrix that we ourselves elaborated in our analysis, we provide a clear picture of how the comparability two places comparability is represented. The result shows that there are compatible aspects to the Småland Aiports needs and what the program of Library and Information Science has to offer.

To increase the quality in their products ABB is working towards a cleared order concept. That means that all customer specified options are to be known before they start with order calculations and construction. As it is today they use paper checklists to achieve this. One order may have several reactors, and for a reactor there can be several different alternatives. For each alternative a new checklist must be filled out.As of today all reading of the customer specification and checklist fill in with is done by hand by different persons, and sometimes the same data is read more than one time.

In the last few years people have become more and more aware of how humanity is affecting the climate. In the direction of reducing the greenhouse gases is to design engines with higher tensile properties and reduced weight, in order to achieve lower fuel consumption and cleaner fuel incineration in today's truck engines.In order to achieve these requirements it?s necessary to increase the combustion pressure in the engine. This requires higher tensile properties and high thermal conductivity of the engine material. The department of Component Technology at the University of Jönköping in collaboration with Volvo Powertrain AB, Scania CV AB and DAROS Piston Rings AB has been commissioned to develop this material and to find knowledge of material properties used in truck engines and piston rings used for marine applications.The purpose with this work is to analyze the tensile properties of a series of cast iron, cast under different metallurgical conditions.Four different series of cast irons have been analyzed from four points of view, carbon concentration, nodularity, amount inoculation and cooling rate.After the tensile test all specimen data was analyzed in a mathematic calculation program called Matlab 2006a.

The final thesis named Tracking in Sensor Networks was created by the company Instrument control Sweden. The thesis work is to create a plug-in to an already developed software pro- gram, SkyView. Via the software program one should be able to control an IP-camera from AXIS, model 215 PTZ, with the appropriate protocol over a network.  An Application Programming Interface, API, was used to easily control the camera through SkyView. The interface is called VAPIX and is used to all cameras from AXIS.
