This plan of multiple-use is made on the private owned forestproperty Äspinge 2:2 in the middle of Skåne. The term ?multiple-use? came to Sweden in the beginning of the twentieth century and has slowly grown until about 30 years ago when the laws of nature conservation and sustainability was written into the forest law. The so called ecoturism got more and more popular and people began to seek space and silence in difference to the life in the highly populated areas. This also encouraged foreign tourists to come to Sweden. Mostly danish, german, and dutch people.

The company also want to reduce their expenses inthe continuous process of improving Profitability. By choosing the right option oftransportation and mode of transport there are large potential savings for the company. Thisenables Nilorn to reduce the transportation costs and strengthen the environmentalresponsibilities by reducing their environmental impact.The flow of goods within Nilorn has over the past years increased significantly and most ofthe gods today is transported by air. The aim of this thesis is to analyse the supply chain of thecompany and evaluate the potential economic savings in this area.

The costs of logging and of transportation with truck are dominating the total cost of wood delivered at industry. To support the Profitability for the members' forestry the processing and handling with the timber has to be as efficient as possible. Increased length of pulpwood in thinning is one conduct that can result in higher productivity and/or lower costs. The study is scaled as a system analysis with the aim to exemplify the differences between working with 3- and 4-meter as standard length of pulpwood, related to biological aspects, timber receipts, cost of logging and cost of transportation with truck. Important aspects are if the change is technically and biologically feasible and economically profitable.

The projects objective is to find an alternative method of heating (the current method being via electric heating) the sewage treatment plant on the island Utö in Stockholm?s archipelago in order to reduce the energy consumption and ultimately the cost for heating the plant. The project is given by ?Skärgårdsstiftelsen? (The Archipelago Foundation) and is a part of the larger EU-project ?Green Islands?.A model for the plants total heating demand is established in order to get a good perception of how much money can be saved using alternative heating methods. The heating demand model gives an annual heating demand of approximately 32 500 kWh and a maximum heating power demand of around 24,7 kW.

The study highlights three key perspectives: the consumer's, the producer's, and the legislator's. From the consumer's perspective, it explores how various consumer behaviors, from responsible gambling to problematic overconsumption, are influenced by marketing and gaming experiences. This includes an analysis of how cognitive limitations and psychological biases can lead to irrational decisions and an increased risk of gambling addiction. From the producer's perspective, it examines how gambling companies use marketing strategies and technologies to increase Profitability and what incentives they have to take social responsibility according to modern Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) principles. It appears that companies do not see CSR as a business goal beyond the risk of current and future regulatory compliance requirements and policy changes. Since the economic outcome is usually decisive, it can be interesting to study different combinations of soil tillage systems and crop rotations in order to identify the maximum economic outcome. How a crop functions in a particular tillage system determines whether it is profitable to grow that crop. Different tillage systems affect the soil and its processes in different ways. Reduced tillage often works best on weak-structured heavy clays and on silty clays.

Glulam?s position at the Swedish market for building constructions has been established over the past decades. Factors affecting glulam demand are found both in global and national contexts as well in customer attitudes and knowledge of the material. Arguments for environmentally friendly and sustainable construction processes and energy-efficient designs are nowadays common, which is something that should motivate increased usage of wood as a renewable material. For the glulam industry to increase its sales, improve Profitability and thereby gain market share in present competitive climate, reliable market information and updated market intelligence is required.

Syfte: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) är idag ett  globalt allmänt känt begrepp och Svenska företag anses ligga i framkant med sitt ansvarastagande. Huvudsyftet med uppsatsen är att analysera huruvida ett stort engagemang inom CSR-frågor ger Svenska företag en förändring i företagsvärde och om det påverkar deras lönsamhet. Ett approximativt Tobins Q används som mått på företagsvärde och Return On Assets (ROA) används som mått på lönsamhet. Metod: En kvantitativ deduktiv metod där undersökning av sekundärdata ska mynna ut i en prövning om huruvida det går att påvisa ett samband mellan CSR och företagsvärde och/eller lönsamhet. Sekundärdata inhämtas ifrån Folksams Index för ansvarsfullt företagande 2009 samt företagens årsredovisningar från 2011. Historiska aktiepriser har hämtats ifrån Nasdaq OMX Nordics hemsida.

Trots en hög efterfrågan så är utbudet på hyresrätter trögrörligt och har inte hunnit i kapp. Detta har resulterat i att det råder bostadsbrist i stort sett i hela regionen.Det pågår ständigt en debatt bland experter, politiker och aktörer på fastighetsmarknaden om vad som kan göras för att åtgärda bristen på hyresrätter i regionen.En orsak till det låga byggandet av hyresrätter är att privata aktörer oftast betraktar den som en olönsam investering jämfört med bostadsrätten. Detta har hämmat byggandet enligt flera experter.

Valmets own foundry in Karlstad has during a long period of time had problems being profitable. The goal today is to turn this around. Today there are three different productionlines; engine blocks, Yankeecylinders and components for the wind turbine industry. This master thesis has focused on examining if value stream mapping is a useful tool to use in a foundry, and therefore outside the typical manufacturing industry. The target has also been to evaluate if there is a possibility to improve the flow in the foundry and also the results.During the 20 weeks this work has been done at the foundry data has been collected and analyzed.

The attention of this study is on ABB Power Products (ABB PP) and their environment and working environment risk management. The aim of this thesis is to identify and describe how perceived environmental risks are managed and what the incentives are to work proactively to minimize the risks. The incentives for a proactive risk management strategy are researched through both a strategic and operational perspective.
