Denna rapport handlar om kärnan i ett borstsystem som används på flygplatsers landningsbanor för att upprätthålla ett standardiserat friktionsvärde. Att utföra borstningen för att upprätthålla friktionsvärdet medför även att landningsbanan blir fri från diverse hinder och upprätthåller en jämn yta, dvs. att det inte finns någon smuts som kan skada maskineri. Valsen är kärnan i systemet. Arbetet genomförs för att Mase Brush Sweden AB vill fortsätta att driva marknaden framåt och ta fler marknadsandelar.Målet med detta arbete är att sänka vikten på den befintliga valsen samt underlätta produktionen för att sänka kostnaderna för Mase Brush Sweden AB.

Internets snabba tillväxt kopplar samman individer och organisationer till ett stort globalt nätverk som representerar enorma möjligheter. Det talas om ett nätverkssamhälle och en nätverksekonomi.Elektronisk handel driver företag mot att bedriva affärer på ett fundamentalt nytt sätt. Behovet av att dela information i realtid ökar tillsammans med förändringarna i värdekedjan.Syftet med studien är att kartlägga elektronisk handel i allmänhet. Studien fokuseras på hur elektronisk handel används för att länka samman företag, stora som små, från råmaterial till konsumenten.

The purpose of the study is to reach knowledge about how public librarians understands and describes environmental scanning as a working process in a Swedish public library. The study consists of 5 interviews with public librarians working within the same organization. The empirical material is presented in two ways. The first one is what aspects of the external world the librarians find important. The second is through a theoretical framework based on Magnus Hoppes model of environmental scanning, including communication and cognitive processes aswell as ways of analyzing information from the external world.

Scania provides a fleet management system for hauliers who want to control their fleets in anefficient way. The system includes an onboard computer with touch screen called ScaniaInteractor where the driver can access GPS navigation, order support, message service and otherfunctionalities. The purpose of this thesis is to develop a concept for logging the user interactionon the Interactor and analyze the result which enables further development and optimization ofthe interface.A demonstration application is designed, implemented and tested for the purpose of showing thepossibilities and difficulties with logging of interaction. The result shows that logging is quiteeasy to implement and that the amount of produced data is small and therefore not expensive totransfer via GPRS to a central server where searching and analysis can be done. On the otherhand, the biggest challenge lies in the analysis and interpretation of the logged data and to applyit to the development of the interface.

In this study we have focused on how board work is affected by companies growth and development. This research has been conducted through a case study of Teleopti AB, a private Swedish family-owned company, together with theory and literature studies. We have studied the development of Teleopti since its founding in 1992 until today and what impact this company's development has had on Teleopti's board work and composition during the same period. Through the study we came to the conclusion that Teleopti's board work has gone from being supportive and advisory to more professional with a higher degree of board involvement. This change has been caused by the reduced information asymmetries, the increased need for board's expertise, the new board dynamics and the CEO change caused by the company's growth..

AbstractWhich assignment teachers feel they have to accomplish in their professional work has been thestarting point of this essay. To find this out, two questions have been asked:1.Which assignment do teachers experience as the most important assignment? How can this be relatedto the curriculum?2.How do teachers interpret the term 'learning'? How can this be related to the curriculum?Working as a teacher means that you have different assignments to implement, which brings complexityto it. One part is to prepare the students for becoming future citizens. Another part is to seeto that they reach the knowledge as well as other goals of the education.

The aim of this qualitative study was to explore which inner conceptions about the abused older women the professional social workers had and how they experienced the enconter of an abused old woman in an intimate partner relation. The theoretical background is social construction by Berger and Luckmann. This theory was uset to analyze the transcribed interviews. This study is based on nine interviews with five professionals in social services, three volunteers from the voluntary sector and one social worker who worked in a community based support group for abused older women. The result of this study shows that older women were often abused, by a relative they were dependent on, in their home.

I fokus för denna uppsats står samverkansorganet och kommunalförbundet Region Hallandeller mer exakt den form av indirekt demokrati som organisationen styrs genom. Studienssyfte är att ur ett demokrati och legitimitetsteoretiskt perspektiv undersöka Region Hallandmed fokus på just den indirekta demokratin. Studiens frågeställning är tvådelad ochundersöker dels hur förankringen av politik inom Region Hallands ram förankras ikommunerna och hos medborgarna. Dessutom undersöks vilka demokratipolitiska ambitionersom Region Halland har. I uppsatsen används en form av kvalitativ metod nämligensamtalsintervjun och intervjuerna genomförs med politiker verksamma i kommunerna ochRegion Halland samt med tjänstemän på Region Halland.

The aim of our study is to explore the thoughts and beliefs held by the professionals who work with the sentence youth service for young offenders, and how they feel about the same.How is the sentence youth service perceived from a professional perspective? How does the concurrence look like between the police, the social services and the prosecutor, when it comes to young offenders? What kind of difficulties/challenges do the professionals see in the possibility to effect the sentence youth service?The study is based on a qualitative method. The data consists of seven semi-structured interviews with two police officers, four social workers and one prosecutor.The results of our study indicate that youth service is a good sentence for young first-time offenders; the study also indicates that concurrence between the different professions is a success factor; furthermore the study revealed that it was very difficult finding adequate working places..

My thesis is based on a qualitative study in which I have selected six professional teachers in a school in Greater Stockholm, and their views on the phenomenon of conflict management. My questions were the following.How teachers perceive the phenomenon of conflict in the world of school?What strategies do teachers use to resolve conflicts with students?In order to analyze my informants, I have chosen different books that deal with conflict man-agement, policy documents and books on the teaching profession meaning. Through my investigation I found that some teachers used tools and strategies through expe-rience and reflections, and resolve conflicts together or individually. My informants described that there are some teachers how choose to hide and pretend not to see the problem.

Swedish law is very keen on the fact that every person should be treated equal when facing the legal system. When it comes to cases concerning children, social workers and judges are expected to strictly obey the rules of the law but at the same time make individual judgements based on the best interest of the child, something that requires a great deal of empathy and knowledge. Is it possible to live up to the maxim about equality and to simultaneously see the individual needs? With so many different parties and angles in the case, how does one manage to make a solid appraisal of the situation that truly serves the best interest of the child?The purpose of this study was to examine the capability within the social services with focus on objectivity. More specifically it's aim was to find out how the social workers and judges see their capability of being objective in the investigations concerning children.

Mobiltelefoner med internetuppkoppling har blivit allt viktigare i människors liv. I och med det har många funktioner och applikationer utvecklats för underhållningsändamål, som exempelvis spel. Forskning om varför personer attraheras av och fastnar för mobilspel är idag begränsad även om studier kring andra spelplattformar finns.Syftet i denna studie är att ta reda på vad det är som driver användare till att spela spel samt vilka specifika element som bidrar till fortsatt spelande. För att svara på detta genomfördes en kvantitativ enkätstudie samt en mer fokuserad delstudie där en mindre testgrupps mobilspelsvanor undersöktes. Fyra olika motivationsteorier har använts vilka var: Murrays behovsteori, Maslows behovstrappa, Fogg Behavior Model och målteori.

Sverige har varit medlemmar i EU sedan 1995. Sedan dess har stora förändringar skettbåde i EU:s gemensamma jordbrukspolitik (GJP) och inom Sveriges jordbruk. Tidigarestudier har undersökt de ekologiska och ekonomiska effekterna av GJP med kvantitativametoder och modellering. Denna studie undersöker hur GJP har påverkat lantbrukaresbeslut i deras jordbruksverksamhet samt hur detta påverkar landskapet i samhälletBettna, Södermanlands län. Empirin som ligger till grund för uppsatsen har samlats ingenom semistrukturerade intervjuer med boende i Bettna som är involverade ijordbruket som heltids- eller deltidslantbrukare.

Med denna uppsats vill jag undersöka vad som motiverar människor att samla på musik, i en tid när musik i såpass stor utsträckning finns tillgänglig för obegränsat lyssnande på internet. Min tes är alltså att det är någonting annat än tillgänglighet som driver människor att samla på musik idag. I min studie har jag tagit hjälp av sju stycken informanter som mer eller mindre aktivt samlar på musik i fysiska format. De är mellan åldrarna 23-46, fem män och två kvinnor. Informanterna har själva anmält intresse när de hört om min studie, eller blivit tillfrågade av mig eftersom jag på förhand vetat om att de samlar på musik.

SMF Skogsentreprenörerna is a nationwide organisation for Swedish forestry contractors. It has about 750 organised companies with somewhere around 1500 logging machines. These machines perform well over 50% of all yearly landed wood in Sweden. The members of SMF also performs more and more of other functions in Swedish professional forestry, such as soil scarification, planting and pre-commercial thinning of younger stands. In order to determine what major priorities SMF should focus on in the future a member survey was initialised and carried out by SMF together with Daniel Larsson-Snygg, student at the swedish university of agricultural sciences SLU. This report presents the result of this survey sent out to all members of SMF. It is intended to answer a number of questions about their entrepreneurship such as: What different kinds of work do these companies perform? How many machines and employees do they have? How old are the company owners and their employees? What are their thoughts about the future of their business? How well does SMF serve their members needs?.
