Syftet med denna studie har varit att undersöka professionellas syn på självskadebeteende hos ungdomar i högstadiet och gymnasiet undersökts. Hur de arbetar med självskadeproblematik hos ungdomar, om de anser att självskadebeteende är ett socialt fenomen samt även eventuell förekomst av likheter och skillnader beroende på profession. En kvalitativ undersökningsmetod har använts med semistrukturerade intervjuer med personal på Barn- och ungdomspsykiatrisk mottagning samt skriftlig intervju med personal på Elevhälsan i en medelstor stad i Sverige. Materialet har analyserats med hjälp av en tematisk analys. Resultatet visade skillnader mellan de professionella som hade en medicinsk bakgrund och de som hade en socionombakgrund.

Kuratorer och diakoner kan betraktas som pionjärer inom socialt arbete inom sjukhusvården och än i dag finner vi dem där. De arbetar sida vid sida och till synes med mycket likartade uppgifter på sjukhus. Vi blev nyfikna på hur lika eller olika dessa yrken egentligen är och vad som döljer sig bakom en sådan här samexistens och bestämde oss att undersöka saken närmare. Vi valde att undersöka dessa yrkesroller i vårt examensarbete. Uppsatsen som du håller i din hand eller har på skärmen är resultatet av detta arbete.

This Bachelor thesis deals with the act of the British Labour Party when they recalled a referendum promised by former Prime Minister Tony Blair. Tony Blair promised a referendum on the Constitutional Treaty, but his successor Gordon Brown later recalled it when the Lisbon Treaty succeeded the Constitutional Treaty as the legal foundation of the European Union.The main purpose of this thesis was to with help from various theorethical frameworks explain why the Labour Party decided to do this, even if this decision gave the main opposition party, the Conservative and Unionist Party (the Tories), the chance to heavily critisize the Labour Party, and picture them as traitors.The research questions were:? What are the reasons that the Labour Party went from being a Eurosceptical party, to become more pro-European?? Why did the Labour Party cancel the promised referendum on the new treaty of the European Union?Various answers were found for the first research question. Among the most important was that it was a part of the over all transition which led to the launch of New Labour.The second research question was answered with three explanatory models based on actions of the Labour Party on three arenas; the electoral arena (based on power, this model claims that the Labour Party act as they do because the know the Tories would not act differently if they were in office), the parliamentary arena (based on ideology, this model claims that Labour want the Lisbon Treaty because it has a stronger social dimension than earlier treaties) and the internal arena (based on the problem of identification, this model claims that the Labour Party identifies itself with the British government, and not just the voters, and are afraid of damaging Britain?s influence in the EU and international politics if Britain says ?no? to the Lisbon Treaty)..

I denna uppsats undersöks hur psykologens yrkesroll formas och utformas på vårdcentral. Det empiriska materialet utgörs av semistrukturerade intervjuer med fem psykologer på vårdcentral, deras verksamhetschefer samt en yrkesutvecklingskoordinator för psykologer inom primärvården. Med utgångspunkt i grounded theory har resultatet analyserats i termer av primärvårdspsykologi, professionell identitet och professionssociologi. Resultatet lyfter fram psykologernas bild av sin yrkesroll, deras upplevelse av relationer till andra i organisationen och till gränsfrågor. Slutsatsen är att psykologens yrkesroll på vårdcentralen befinner sig i jurisdiktionens gränsområde och innebär ett aktivt identitetsarbete, en komplex och dynamisk process i spänningsfältet mellan professionella identitetsideal och organisatorisk reglering..

GIS on the Internet is a rather new phenomenon, which has evolved from the need ofdistributed geographical data. It is also a powerful tool for presenting information on theInternet. This master thesis aim to create a web based GIS application with information onlime spreading and the situation concerning acidification in the county of Kronoberg, Sweden.The web based GIS application will be used by the county administrations in Kronoberg toinform the public and the municipal authorities of current counteracting acidification activity.This report includes documentation on acidifying processes and liming activities, which arepublicised together with the web based GIS application. The web based GIS application wascreated with ArcIMS, a new program in the ESRI family of GIS programs. The programincludes a guided structure, to development of everything from a map to a complete GISapplication, including mapservice and websites.

The ISO standard ISO/IEC 17799/SS-627799-2 is a guidance for organizations to realize their information security goals. In spite of this standard, studies show flaws regarding information security in organizations. In particular flaws regarding overall view, knowledge and clear roles and responsibilities have been observed. The ISIT (Information Security Integrated Three level) model and its guidelines, developed in this thesis, help organizations to identify the required processes and procedures as well as the logical process flow. The thesis is based on theoretical studies and a case study within a multinational company.

Today there is an even higher demand on IT-projects success rate compared to a few years ago. IT-projects must be handled more efficiently and result in a more profitable investment. In order to make the handling of IT-projects more efficient and create profitability the developers must have a broad understanding of the IT-projects characteristics and which factors that affect the result of the projects. Changes within IT-projects are often carried out through the development of a system. Since this change is more common when it comes to IT-projects it is important to handle risk and change within these kinds of projects in order to prevent and avoid uncontrolled changes.

The aim of this study is to analyze the change of Basque nationalism during the last ten years and discuss how the main nationalist party (PNV) tries to impose "we"- feelings and support for its cause. Theories of nationalism and national identity are used in the analysis.A textual analysis of PNV:s unofficial documents is discussed and compared with a discourse analysis of its official documents. Although the unofficial documents deal with similar view of basic political/territorial ambitions, language and identification, there are some differences in the latest documents regarding the view of who is defined as Basque and also to the detoriated relation to Spain. Although references are made to the regard that the Basque Country is for everyone, the persistence of emphasizing the uniqueness and myths of the Basque culture signals a different matter. The discourse analysis of the official documents supports this claim and although they contain an ambiguous relation to Spain it is clear that Basque nationalism has been radicalized.

Background:Nurses can meet women who have been victims of abuse anywhere in the healthcare. Healthcare providers have a responsibility to these women, and it requires a broad range of skills to identify the women and thus be able to help them. It is important to see all patients as unique individuals and provide good care to maintain their specific needs. This paper was done to increase the understanding of nurses' experiences in the encounter with the battered woman.Aim:The aim of this study was to illustrate how nurses experience the encounter with the battered woman.Method:Literature review with both qualitative and quantitative studies. Nine articles were chosen to be read, reviewed and analyzed.Results:Three themes and ten subthemes appeared.

This essay is an investigation that aims to increase the understanding regarding the opinions of what skills a teacher who works with pupils that are in need of special support ought to have. I have also tried to answer the question: How to be a good teacher?The investigation is carried out as a qualitative interview survey, where three women from three different municipalities have explained, how they want pedagogues to work with pupils that are in need of special support.The investigation shows that an accurate personality within the pedagogue plays an important part when accomplishing a positive development. Knowledge of various subjects combined with a specialized pedagogical education is very important, as well as an ability of understanding when it comes to different kinds of functional disorders.Other positive qualities a teacher should have could be the following: to be structured, calm, be able to stand stress, have patience, be a good listener, be emphatic and have a good sense of humour.The investigation also shows that teachers who are confident with themselves have a lot to gain in their profession. The final quality worth mentioning is, when you as a professional dare to be without prestige.

Hjärtstopp drabbar årligen flera tusen människor på svenska sjukhus. Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva sjuksköterskors upplevelser i samband med hjärtstopp och hjärt- och lungräddning på sjukhus. Denna litteraturstudie genomfördes med en litteratursökning av kvalitativa artiklar inom området och analyserades sedan genom kvalitativ innehållsanalys och manifest ansats. Litteraturstudien begränsades med att specialistsjuksköterskor exkluderades. Analysen resulterade i fem kategorier; Att uppleva stöd och krav från kollegor, Att uppleva ett sjätte sinne för ens egna patienters tillstånd och deras önskan, Att sakna struktur och kunskap, Att känna sig otillräcklig och granskad vid familjens närvaro samt Erfarenhet av återupplivningar påverkar känslan.

This study investigates and analyzes experiences of discrimination and racism among social work students, focusing on how these issues occur between peers rather than through hierarchical dynamics, such as interactions with faculty. The research aims to shed light on the academic challenges faced by students with foreign backgrounds, as defined by Statistics Sweden (SCB), particularly those who experience discriminatory practices and behaviors within the academic environment. The study adopts a qualitative methodology, utilizing semi-structured interviews to explore the lived experiences of these students. Participants were selected based on their enrollment in social work programs and their identification as having a foreign background. Data was analyzed thematically to uncover recurring patterns and insights into the participants' experiences.

AbstractThe phonics is traditionally firmly established within reading acquisition in Swedish schools. The curriculum, Lpo 94 gives spacious independence regarding the question of method and we have to be aware of our own point of view when we are making the decision regarding the method of reading acquisition. Is it tradition or is it our linguistic point of view that is the determining factor? Through this study of literature, different publications from different times are being studied and the ideas and the linguistic point of view are being discussed. Through comparing between the curriculums that have been replaced of one another, and attending to linguistic discussion and research, we will be able to see a change in the linguistic point of view.

Beroende på situation intar människan olika roller. På rollerna finns det också förväntningar som kan styra rollinnehavarens beteende och agerande. Ett dilemma som kan uppkomma för lärare är att yrkesrollen och privatrollen går in i varandra. Den här studien vill synliggöra problematiken kring hanteringen av lärarnas olika roller.För att undersöka problematiken och hanteringen av lärarnas olika roller används en kvalitativ metod där det empiriska materialet är sex intervjuer. För att kunna analysera och förstå det informanterna visar på används teori som berör problematiken.

Specialiteten intensivvård utvecklades på 1950-talet, ända sedan dess har det varit känt att vissa av patinterna utvecklar akut förvirring eller psykiska störningar som senare kom att benämnas IVA syndromet. IVA syndromet orsakas av en process som startar vid insjuknandet/olyckan och beror på ett samspel mellan en psykologisk process, kemisk påverkan och den miljöstress som uppkommer av intensivvårdsmiljön som patienten vårdas i. IVA Syndromet orsakar ökad morbiditet och mortalitet. Syftet med arbetet är att beskriva omvårdnadsproblem och vilka åtgärder sjuksköterskan kan vidta för att förebygga utvecklandet av IVA syndromet. Undersökningen har utförts som en litteraturstudie.
