The purpose of this thesis was to examine if users of digital music games may acquire skills from the games that may be of use in learning to play a real instrument, that is a non-digitally simulated instrument like an acoustic piano. We have used Gee?s theory regarding a possible interconnection between different semiotic domains, and how this connection may enable a transfer of skills between related domains. In this thesis we examine possible skill transfer between the domains ?digital games? and ?non-digital instruments?. To examine our question formulation we chose to conduct a pilot study from which we collected both quantitative and qualitative data.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the organizational buying behaviour in the purchase of travels abroad. We have conducted a case study of two companies, one medium sized and one larger. Our empirical studies have shown that the companies? buying process is divided into two types, the process of recruit a new travel supplier and the process of a straight rebuy of a regular travel service. In the recruiting process we found that the evaluation process of the purchase is an ongoing process that contradicts estab-lished theories.

This report is a description of a developed educational simulator over rail vehicles and its components. The simulator is a hardware-based prototype over a door system on rail vehi- cles. System specialists and technicians will use the prototype. The Simulator should give the user a technical demonstration on how components work in a door system. Intervention theory, as Vedung 2009 describes, is used as an intellectual backbone and as a help to structure the essay. Arbetet behandlar chefer i kommunal verksamhet och vad de ska ha fokus på i sitt chefskap för att öka uppfattningen hos sina medarbetare att de är bra chefer. Syftet med studien är att på ett överskådligt vis redogöra för hur stor betydelse olika delar av ledarskapet har för hur medarbetare uppfattar chefer som helhet. Den övergripande frågeställningen är: Vad ska chefer i kommunal verksamhet fokusera på för att ha nöjda medarbetare? För att besvara vår frågeställning har vi utgått från ett kvantitativt insamlat material som består av enkätundersökningar utförda i åtta svenska kommuner, mellan åren 2004 till 2006. Antalet svarande totalt sett är 30 318 personer, varav nära 2 300 är chefer.

This thesis aims at; describing and creating an understanding of how Friskis&Svettis internationalization process, at the start-up in England, can be seen as entrepreneurial, to describe and analyze how various cultural factors can be identified and the impact they have on the internationalization process. The empirical data were obtained through two interviews and it appears that both the organizational culture and national cultural differences can be identified and that these affected the process. Avfall Sverige äger två certifieringssystem: SPCR 120 Biogödsel och SPCR 152 Kompost. Dessa två certifieringssystem används för att certifiera biogasanläggningar och kompostanläggningar. Certifieringen säkerställer att biogödseln respektive komposten har en hög kvalité och kan användas inom till exempel jordbruk. Certifieringssystemen har varit i bruk sedan 1999 och har än så länge resulterat i åtta certifierade biogasanläggningar och tre certifierade kompostanläggningar.
