Dyslexi är en form av läs- och skrivsvårighet som inte kan förklaras av t.ex. bristfällig undervisning, låg begåvning eller synproblem. Orsaken till dyslexi anses vanligen vara nedsatt förmåga av fonologiskt processande. Flera studier har dock visat att dyslexi även är förknippat med språkliga, kognitiva och motoriska svårigheter som inte kan förklaras av nedsatt förmåga av fonologiskt processande. Det procedurella minnessystemet engageras vid inlärning, processande och konsolidering av kognitiva och motoriska färdigheter.

Bakgrund och syfte: Matematik är ett ämne som skapar lust och är stimulerande för vissa människor medan det för andra är ångestladdat, svårt och meningslöst (Skolverket, 2002). Decimaltal kan för vissa elever skapa problem (Mange, 1962). Syftet med studien är att ta reda på hur sex elever i skolår 6 utifrån en matematiklektion om beräkning av decimaltal, ser på sitt eget lärande och lektionsupplägget. Samt att ta reda på om eleverna själva ser sin egen förståelse utifrån lektionsinnehållet.Metod: Vi utgick från en kvalitativ tradition med en fenomenologisk ansats. För att få fram data till analysen utgick vi från tekniken stimulated recall.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka om individer som skiljer sig med avseende på social värdeorientering (SVO) bedömer rättvisa på olika sätt beroende på om det gäller dem själva eller någon annan. 96 studenter, 48 män och 48 kvinnor, deltog i ett scenarioexperiment. Resultaten visade inga signifikanta effekter av SVO, vilket indikerar att samarbets- och självinriktade individer inte skilde sig vid bedömningar av procedural rättvisa i situationer som berörde dem själva och andra. Analysen visade att manipulationen var effektiv. Variansanalysen på upplevd rättvisa, tillfredställelse, beslutsacceptans och protestintention visade att ?voice? (deltagande) hade en signifikant effekt.

This has been a thesis work for an bachelor degree at Umeå university. Procedural Content Generation innebär att spelinnehåll genereras automatiskt för att dels minska arbetsbelastningen hos designers men också för att öka variationen i spel. Ett användningsområde för detta är rumsbaserad bangenerering där banor byggs upp av fördefinierade rum. Målet med det här arbetet var att implementera och jämföra tre olika algoritmer som kan åstadkomma detta; Binary Space Partitioning, Shortest path och en evolutionär algoritm. De kriterier som algoritmerna utvärderades på var tidseffektivitet, variation och möjligheten att nå alla rum. Resultatet visade att Binary Space Partitioning och Shortest path var de två algoritmer som var bäst lämpade att användas i ett spel där genereringen ska ske under körtiden.

This essay examines the differences and similarities, weaknesses and strengths of the two Cognitive Semantic theories Conceptual Metaphor Theory and Principled Polysemy Approach to Meaning Analysis. To illustrate the two theories, the Swedish verb-particle construction "gå upp" is examined and analyzed accordingly. The results showed differences in the number of polysemous meaning found. The methodological evaluation showed that the differences in the underlying ideas concerning meaning-construction behind these two theories make them incompatible..

The aim of this master's thesis is to investigate and to explain the concept of folksonomy in the perspective of knowledge organisation. By creating a conceptual explanation and defining what folksonomy as a concept consists of, the intent is to establish a basis for evaluating folksonomy and to discuss what relevance folksonomy may have in the field of knowledge organisation. By applying a qualitative content analysis a review is performed on how folksonomy is perceived and discussed in a selection of articles written on the subject. Employing the theory of classification, subject indexing and bibliographic retrieval, folksonomy as a method for knowledge organisation is analysed. Social indexing is an approach to manual indexing of web content. The purpose of this master thesis has been to investigate terminological and conceptual consistency in social indexing of web content. Conceptual consistency was investigated/measured focusing on synonyms and (the use of) singular and plural forms of words. A rhetorical analysis of the educational interactive film ?Riskprofilen?, produced by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (Swedish: Myndigheten för Samhällsskydd och Beredskap). This essay uses the theories and methods of Procedural Rhetoric, as described by Professor Ian Bogost, and Visual Rhetoric, as described by Professor Brigitte Mral to analyse the interactive and visual component parts of the artefact, and compares them to the intended purposes of the artefact as stated by documents pertaining to its creation, found to be those of educating the public; marketing the agency; and driving traffic to its webpage. The artefact is through analysis found to fulfil the purposes of marketing the Agency and of likely increasing traffic to the website upon which it is hosted.
