The image of ?the problem child? in governmental committees).   This study focuses on the image of the problem child as it appears in two texts (from the 1940s and 1970s) of governmental committees on Public Health (SOU) and the new school law (Ds 2009:25, will be implemented in July 2011).

I den interpersonella teorin menar man att varje människas framträdande relationserfarenheter finns representerade i något som blivit denna persons latenta relationsmönster eller schemata. Är dessa interpersonella mönster inkongruenta kan det leda till interpersonella problem och psykisk ohälsa. Enligt denna teori kan stimulerande relationer, som t ex i en gruppbehandling, leda till bättre kognitiv förmåga och mer kongruent interpersonellt mönster, vilket på sikt underlättar relaterande till andra. Uppsatsens syfte var att beskriva interpersonella mönster och problem hos ungdomar i en gruppbehandling i termer av två instrument: Central Relationship Questionnaire (CRQ) och Inventory of Interpersonal Problems (IIP). Resultaten visade hur ungdomarnas interpersonella mönster och problemprofiler såg ut före och efter behandlingstiden.

The aim of these two studies was to investigate the possible physiological, behavioural and emotional changes that appear after human-horse interactions and also to find an explanation to why they occur. One aspect that is discussed is whether the wellbeing of humans can be coupled to interacting with horses and of how the animals respond to the interaction. The first study was performed on 9 horses and their owners, both parts being subjects to registrations during 4 different interaction treatments. The second study was performed on 6 horses with registrations only being performed on the horses during 2 different treatments. Nine horses underwent 3 different treatments all performed by their owners (H = stroking of the horses forehead, B = brushing and M = stimulation of the withers) in addition to a control round (K). Each treatment lasted for 4 minutes but observations were performed until after 45 minutes from start.

Den här uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka volontärers motiv till att hjälpa. Skiljer motiven sig åt beroende på om engagemanget sker i Sverige, inom Europa eller i en annan världsdel? 40 volontärer berättade skriftligt om sina volontärupplevelser.

The share of problem gamblers increased for men between 18-24 years old during the period 1999-2009, while the share were steady or decreased for other classes of population. This study examines the relation between this development of problem gambling and the Swedish gambling market. The factors that are studied are the functioning of the market with a focus on the new Internet market for gambling, the games and the underlying risk factors in those, the marketing and other factors outside the gambling market. First a large literature review was made to map the development as detailed as possible. After that a qualitative analysis of the content in television commercials was done to see if they were made for the problem group.

I denna studie analyseras Göteborgs kommuns miljödiplomeringsmodell, dess tillämpning,problem och möjligheter. Syftet var att studera vad företag och revisorer accentuerar på, vilka problem och brister som förekommer samt hur miljöprestanda och miljökommunikation uppfattas i certifierade respektive diplomerade företag. Ett annat syfte var att studera vilka orsakerna är bakom att en del diplomerade företag hoppar av sitt diplom och andra avvaktar med att diplomera verksamheten..

The aim with this paper is to investigate how the Social Democratic Party (SAP) deals with the question of economic migrants, or more specifically how the problem is represented by the Social Democratic Party, and how this representation has developed over time. The SAP's theory became recently contested by a competing theory that was caused by the predicted future demographic development in Sweden, combined with the EU's eastern expansion. The first factor contributed to the re-write of the theory, to a theory that saw economic migrants as a solution instead of a problem, in direct contrast to SAP's theory. The second factor was a direct threat to SAP's labour immigration policy. This leads to my second question, how did SAP respond to this pressure?The answers to these questions are achieved by using discourse analysis by applying a problem oriented theory on empirical material, constituting propositions, articles in mass media and parliamentary debates.

Under vårt sista år var vi intresserade av att ta reda på de problem som vi kan stöta på i våra yrkesroller som fartygsingenjörer. Arbetet tar upp de tekniska problem som uppstår p.g.a. de allt strängare kraven på minskade svavelutsläpp från fartyg. De tekniska problemen härstammar från de olika bränslekvaliteternas vitt skilda egenskaper. Som svar på dessa problem har det utvecklats tekniska lösningar varav två stycken har tagits upp i detta arbete.För att ta reda på vilka tekniska problem som kan uppstå tog vi del av den berörda utrustningens tillverkares erfarenheter enligt empirisk modell.

Faith is a phenomenon that engages the individual into emotional, social and daily manners.Religion tends to engage the individual in different levels in the daily life. In the church communion, there is a belief to the traditional and the repeteated behaviour. This shared group is strength by ceremonies and rituals and people in this collective somehow experience another type of reality. This study has a social - psychological perspective and the purpose is to study people?s know-how of faith and why they seek religion in today´s secularized society.

Barren rearing environment and early weaning of piglets can lead to a high level of distress, behavioural disturbances and reduction in weight gain. The main aim of this thesis was to study the effects of potential enrichment objects on piglet?s behaviour and weight gain during the pre- and post-weaning period. The second aim was to examine what type of object stimulated the highest frequency of interaction. The study was carried out at the Swedish Livestock Research Centre in Lövsta where a batch of litters from 10 first-parity Yorkshire sows were used.

It is well proven that physical exercise has an impact on our bodies as well as our minds. The aim of this study is to examine if this impact also affects economic behaviour. Three hypotheses regarding the impact of acute exercise on overconfidence, risk enhancement and well-being have been tested by collecting questionnaires from 364 participants at Friskis & Svettis, Kungsholmen who all were asked to answer the questions either before or after exercising. The differences between the before and after group were analysed, indicating small increases in all three test areas after exercising. These increases were, however, not large enough to reject any of the null-hypotheses of zero effect on the given five per cent significance level.

The purpose of this study is to describe melanotic tumours and the pathogenesis of these tumours. The focus of this study is on differences between benign and malignant tumours as well as the prognosis one may expect when diagnosing this disease. The mechanisms responsible for the occurrences of the tumours are not yet fully understood. It is believed that factors such as chronic trauma, infections, medications and hormones affect the cell mechanisms in some way. Determinants of the malignancy of the tumour are not completely known.

Syftet med studien var att beskriva sjuksköterskors upplevelser av att vårda patienter med psykiatriska problem på en akutvårdsavdelning i södra Sverige. Tidigare forskning finns om sjuksköterskans attityder till att vårda patienter med psykiatriska problem, men kunskapen om sjuksköterskans faktiska upplevelse av att vårda denna patientgrupp är mindre studerad. I studien är det sjuksköterskans egen definition av vad som är ett psykiatriskt problem som ligger till grund för resultatet. Sex intervjuer har genomförts och transkriberats ordagrant. Materialet har analyserats med kvalitativ innehållsanalys inspirerad av Graneheim och Lundman (2004).

Matematiskproblemlösning blir en större och viktigare del av matematikundervisningen närtekniska hjälpmedel, som miniräknare och datorer, kan utföra många beräkningar.Undersökningens syfte är att se hur gymnasieelever löser matematiska problem. Vilka faktorer som påverkar vid problemlösning samt vilka moment eleverna har svårt för. Undersökningen genomfördes på en gymnasieskola I Halmstad där atta elever med varierande matematikkunskaper löste fyra problem och ingående redogjorde för hur de tänkte och gick tillväga. Teorikapitlet tar upp olika matematikdidaktikers syn på problemlösning, modeller för hur problemlösning går till och faktorer elever besitter som påverkar möjligheten att lösa problem. Jag har med hjälp av dessa modeller och påverkansfaktorer analyserat elevernalösningar enligt en modell bestående av tre delar: Identifiering, genomförande och kontroll av uppgiften.

This review paper summaries scientific research about horse thermoregulation and the consequences of using a blanket. Horse owners put blankets on their horses to protect them when they are clipped, to protect them from bugs, to keep them clean and so on. This can have consequences for the horse which their owners might be unaware of. I have tried to answer following questions by searching the available scientific literature; ? How can the horse maintain thermoregulation? ? Is there a risk of suffering when horses wear a blanket? ? Is there a risk of suffering when horses do not wear a blanket? ? How can animal inspectors estimate the welfare of horses when they wear or do not wear a blanket? My result shows that horses who wear a blanket have an increased risk of becoming overheated, develop a chafing, have an increased exposure hazard and have a restrained natural behaviour.
