Uppsala County has ambitious environmental aims for the planned residential area inÖstra Sala backe. In this thesis different energy sources have been evaluated todetermine which system that would be most favorable given currently availableinformation about the project. Planned energy usage has been divided into tap waterheating, space heating and power. Three base case scenarios were made with districtheating, small scale bio fuel and heat pump. Solar power and solar heating were thensimulated and the production from the two could individually be deducted from theenergy need in the base cases, constituting 9 different scenarios.

A new type of chartered holiday, fitness holiday, has evolved during the last years and has also been mentioned in different media channels. Despite this, fitness holiday is a relatively new and unexplored phenomenon, which caught our interest to further explore this. The desire to travel on a holiday of this type has also increased. Therefore, a study about this particular phenomenon with focus on the traveler?s motives behind the choice to go has been done.It?s a qualitative study and most part of the data has been collected during a field study to Playitas Resort, Canary Islands.

Att sjuksköterskor ställer giltiga omvårdnadsdiagnoser är betydelsefullt för att patienter ska få den omvårdnad som de behöver. Trots att denna förmåga är något som sjuksköterskeutbildningen är ålagd att utrusta blivande sjuksköterskor med är omvårdnadsdiagnostisk förmåga inte utrett hos sjuksköterskestudenter. Inget verktyg för att mäta denna förmåga finns tillgänglig i Sverige idag. Syftet med denna metodologiska studie var att utveckla ett verktyg som avsåg mäta omvårdnadsdiagnostisk förmåga. Genom kognitiva intervjuer, i dialog med experter samt genom att studenter och sjuksköterskor testade att genomföra en omvårdnadsdiagnostisk uppgift utifrån två patientfall utvecklades verktyget stegvis.

Aim: The aim of this study was to describe the nurse?s work at an emergency department trough a perspective of caring.Method: A literature review has been made of twelve studies published between the years of 2002 ? 2012. The focus of all the studies was on Swedish emergency departments.  Results: The researchers found four themes that they choose to use as a way of describing the nurses work in the emergency room as detailed as possible. These themes were: ?The emergency room?, ?the nurse?s job assignments at an emergency department?, ?the patient?s experiences? and ?lifeworld and communication?.

To achieve this purpose I constructed one primary research question:o How has Expressen, in the public media discourse, treated the phenomena we know as the birdflu?This primary research question holds three more specified research questions:o What does Expressens discourse about the birdflu look like?o What actors are participating in the articles?o Why does the discourse look like this?THEORY The theory chapter of the essay contains four different parts.

Bakgrund: Globaliseringen gör att den kulturella kompetensen hos sjuksköterskan är viktig. Studier har visat att sjuksköterskestudenter som varit på internationellt utbyte och haft sin verksamhetsförlagda utbildning (VFU) i utland utvecklat en kulturell medvetenhet och personlig utveckling. Få studier har undersökt hur utbytet påverkat studenters professionella utveckling i rollen som sjuksköterska. Syftet var att beskriva sjuksköterskestudenters uppfattning om vad de lärt sig under VFU i utland som de tror har betydelse för deras framtida omvårdnadsarbete. Metod: Studien hade en kvalitativ ansats med en deskriptiv karaktär.

Negativa attityder gentemot personer med psykisk sjukdom förekommer bland sjukvårdspersonal. Sjuksköterskeutbildningens psykiatriska delkurs är uppbyggd på olika sätt på olika högskolor i landet. Syftet var att studera sjuksköterskors och sjuksköterskestudenters attityder gentemot patienter med en psykisk sjukdom utifrån två frågeställningar: Vilken betydelse har olika bakomliggande faktorer för sjuksköterskors attityder? Går det att påverka dessa attityder och i så fall på vilka sätt? Metoden var en litteraturstudie, där kvalitativa och kvantitativa artiklar studerades och jämfördes. De teoretiska referensramar, som användes, var Parses omvårdnadsteori och den socialpsykologiska Tripartite Model of Attitude Change.

ABSTRACTBackground: The incidence of type 2 diabetes is increasing worldwide. Early intervention in form of medication, advice on self-management and lifestyle changes is necessary to avoid complications. Few Swedish studies are made on the diabetes nurse?s views on promotion of self- management.Purpose: To examine the diabetes specialist nurse?s experience of promoting self-management to patients with type 2 diabetes in primary care.  Method: A qualitative explorative study where eight diabetes nurses were interviewed. The interview guide consisted of semistructed questions concerning the promotion of self-management.Results: The diabetes nurse?s role in promoting patient self-management is significant, if resources are available in the form of adequate time for the patient and good team work.

Methodology The foundation to my essay has been created using both primary and secondary data. Inquiries have been handed out to Handelsbanken. This data is completed with appropriate theories and ends in an analysis and finally a result and suggestion to continuing studies.Conclusions My conclusion is that the employees and the management has the same opinion on the bonussystem Oktogon. Both parts sees the system as a motivation factor in the organization. But still not enough effect on the employees to call it an effective strategy..

Today 70 percent of the people residing in nursing homes are undernourished. One way to avoid that an individual is affected by malnutrition it is a necessity that the meals is customized after special needs current among other things as energy and protein. Food record is a method that can be used to examine and evaluate if an individual is getting sufficient nutrition and energy to cover the daily needs. For those suffering from malnutrition it is recommended to eat energy and protein enriched diet.AimsThe aim is to compare the intake of energy and macronutrients in a group of elderly people living in a nursing home in southern Sweden before and after the introduction of an energy and protein enriched diet based on newly developed recipes.MethodsFood record was made during four days. Food record means that everything that is consumed by an individual is noted precisely.

Background: Within palliative care setting persons with terminal illness is cared for. The aim of the care is to enhance the quality of life for the patient through a holistic approach. The disease can lead to major suffering and require the person to handle the situation. If the person´s ability and capacity to do so is insufficient the identity may be perceived as threatened and quality of life diminished. Self-care can help a person to cope with loss of identity, enhance independence and improve quality of life.Aim: The aim of this study is to explore self-care strategies of patients within palliative care setting.

Begreppet akut coronart syndrom (ACS) används för tillstånd som orsakar syrebrist i hjärtmuskeln genom förträngning av kranskärlen. I Sverige sker ca 42 % av alla dödsfall hos både kvinnor och män till följd av hjärtkärlsjukdom. Riskfaktorer utgörs av kön, ålder och ärftlighet samt relateras till livsstils faktorer såsom rökning, förhöjda blodfetter, hypertoni, diabetes, stress och låg fysisk aktivitet. För personen som insjuknar i en hjärtinfarkt kan upplevelsen innebära en kris och sjuksköterskan har en central roll som rådgivare och vägledare för patienter under deras sjukhusvistelse och i eftervården. Syfte med denna litteratursammanställning var att beskriva sjuksköterskans omvårdnadsåtgärder som kan stödja patienter med ACS. Studien utgörs av en systematisk litteraturssammanställning och resulterade i sex kvalitativa och fem kvantitativa vetenskapliga artiklar. Resultatet belyser två teman som betydelsefulla omvårdnadsåtgärder sjuksköterskan kan stödja patienter med vid ACS. Dessa teman presenteras som information/utbildning och skapande av relationen mellan sjuksköterska och patient.

When the population is getting older, the need for complex care and nursing interventions in elderly care increases. To create a holistic view of the elder and their life situation, interprofessional team collaboration is often desirable and necessary. Teamwork is often described in positive terms, but previous research has shown that this work method is complicated and requires constant reflection and development. The purpose of this study was to investigate how elderly care teamwork is formed in the interaction between representatives of different professionals. To accomplish this purpose, we have studied how the team members define a well-functioning teamwork and difficulties, and how consensus is achieved in the team.

AbstractAim: this paper is a report of a concept analysis of forgiveness and its practice within the social work area. Background: worldwide interest in and funding for forgiveness research has brought about a body of knowledge from many disciplines that could be clinically useful to social work. At this time forgiveness interventions are used in social work in other countries, primary in the USA. The social workers in the Scandinavian countries need to focus on this important area of inquiry. Method: forgiveness was explored from a philosophical perspective and from forgiveness interventions from a variety of areas suitable for social work.

Background: According to us, obtaining reimbursement of expenses in connection with a representation is a ?forgotten? process, and we therefore find it interesting to look further into. In some cases we have not claimed for compensation since we consider the process as too complicated or that we lost the original receipt. Ernst & Young (2009) say in their research that within the financial management area, Swedish operations loses billions of Swedish crowns due to bad routines. Okada and Hoch (2004) mention that if time were not considered as a resource, time would not be a hinder.
