This study investigates the individual usage of the Dublin Core metadata format in three Swedish Subject Based Information Gateways, SAFARI, Svenska miljönätet and Svesök. The authors also present the reader with an overview of the metadata concept and explains in particular the Dublin Core Element Set. The approach to the study is investigation of Dublin Core application from the viewpoint of three major issues, user friendliness, interoperability and quality control. The study includes an in-depth comparison of the three different metadata templates, as well as interviews with people in charge of the metadata production at the respective SBIGs and users of the respective SBIGs« templates. The study shows that the three SBIGs are more similar than they are different.

I mitt arbete som gymnasielärare har jag förmånen att möta många olika unga människor. Det jag fascineras av är de likheter och skillnader jag ser hos dem, alla de roller som många av dem testar för att hitta sin egen identitet. Vissa börjar i 1:an på gymnasiet med en viss stil och identitet och förändras helt under de tre åren de går på skolan och andra är precis likadana som de var den första dagen de kom in genom dörren. Jag har ofta funderat på hur medvetna eleverna är över deras identiteter. Hur resonerar de i valet av stil, om hur det yttre påverkas av identiteten och hur identiteten påverkas av deras val av stil eller stilar? När jag pratat med dem och lyssnat på deras resonemang har jag kunnat ana att många av dem anser att det är viktigt att vara annorlunda men utan att sticka ut för mycket.En av skolans uppgifter är ?att låta varje enskild elev finna sin unika egenart?.

Uppsatsen handlar om mina erfarenheter av att vara dansmusiker och spelman inom svensk folkmusik idag. Under flera års tid har jag fördjupat mig inom spelmansmusiken och har med tiden känt av ett större behov att spela till dans för att nå en djupare i respektive tradition. Med fokus på polskedans ska jag utforska vad jag kan utveckla i mitt fiolspel och samtidigt ta reda på hur dansen tas emot av en ny publik. Metoden kommer vara att dokumentera danspelningar- och kurser på olika platser i landet. Jag kommer också att hålla egna kurser med danspedagoger med rörliga roller-pedagogik i ett projekt som kallas Queerpolska..

The aim of this study was to investigate how mothers in families with strong patriarchal traditionssee their role as a mother and as a woman. The study is built upon two main questions: What arethe expectations of your family and your immediate environment on you as a mother and as awoman? And what does ?honour? mean for you as a mother and as a woman? In our paper wehad as a starting point a gender perspective that was further on applied in defining our researchquestion. We are also giving an account of the phenomenological perspective that we also had asa basis of our work. We interviewed six mothers living in families with strong patriarchaltraditions.

The objective of this bachelor thesis is to examine how some larger Swedish public libraries reason about the use of social media as part of their activities and outreach. To attain the purpose three research-questions were established; why does the public library use social media? How does the public library utilize social media? What extra value do librarians believe that use of social media can add to the libraries? function? The methodology used in the thesis is qualitative interviews. Six interviews were conducted with librarians in charge of social media at their respective libraries. Five of the interviews were conducted by telephone and one by email.

Skrivbordsvirtualisering är en växande teknik och företagen som väljer denna teknik blir allt fler. Men hur påverkas egentligen förvaltningsarbetet av denna teknik, blir det bättre eller sämre?Resultatet av denna studie baseras på en intervju med ett företag som erbjuder skrivbordsvirtualisering som en tjänst och på så sätt även tar över allt förvaltningsarbete för företaget som köper tjänsten. Det insamlade materialet jämförs sedan med den teori som vi tagit fram. Den tar upp vilka roller som finns, hur både användarstöd och förändringsarbetet påverkas men även kapaciteten och tillgängligheten.Studiens slutsats pekar mot att förvaltningsarbetet minskar och att både tillgänglighet och kapacitet ökar..

The objective of this thesis is to clarify what should be applied in terms of liability and the allocation of risks between the parties, in order to help avoid disputes about the agreement. In order to fulfill the purpose of the thesis, the legal status of the agreement has been investigated, as well as the question whether the sale of goods act should be applied, even though the sales agreement between the parties should be the primary regulation. MISA är ett företag som i sin dagliga verksamhet erbjuder arbetsinriktad sysselsättning för människor med funktionshinder. På grund av sin ideologiska bakgrund och sin platta struktur har det växt fram ett intresse av att veta mer om sin organisation. Syftet med uppsatsen är därför att beskriva och identifiera företagskulturen och ledarskapet för att sedan förstå deras relation till varandra. För att uppfylla syftet och besvara frågeställningarna har en kvalitativ fallstudie genomförts i form av intervjuer och en litteraturstudie i ämnet kultur.Teorin har spelat en stor roll för att både förstå och rama in företagets kultur. Uppsatsen använder sig både av klassiker som Weber och den omskrivna kulturteoretikern Schein samt nyare författare inom ämnena kultur och ledarskap.Studiens resultat gav en omfattande bild av företagets kulturuttryck och vad i företagets agerande och uttalanden som framstår som viktiga.

The textbook is one of the instruments that teachers and students have available in their teaching. For many years has textbook regarded as being too controlling and as a barrier to students development in mathematics. Textbooks primary mission is to promote learning. My study aims to provide an overview of how effective teachers use the textbook in mathematics education as well as the pros and cons they see with their work. The work includes interviews with five active mathematics teachers.

This paper compares and discusses teachers´ nonverbal communication in the classroom. The purpose of the study is to find out what the teachers´ nonverbal communication looks like in the classroom and with that information increase teachers´ awareness of nonverbal communi-cation and its impact on the teaching. Ten teachers at the upper secondary school have been observed for twenty minutes when having a lecture. The result shows that the most common nonverbal expressions are hand and arm gestures used to enhance what is said by the teacher. The result also shows that the nonverbal communication is similar with all observed teachers.

The primary aim of the current study was to gain increased knowledge about drivers' risk experiences. The study was based on questionnaires answered by 30 private drivers and 30 bus drivers, with 50% men and 50% woman in each group. The study revealed no differences, either between men and women drivers with regard to their experience of risk, or between the groups of private and bus drivers. Gambling is common within the private drivers group. Mistakes are common in all groups.

The primary ambition of this degree thesis is to create a representative outdoor environment that surrounds Malmö Konsthall (Malmö art center) which reflects the amazing inside of the artcenter. During this work it has become more and more obvious that Magistratsparken, which is situated right next to the artcenter, ought to be incorporated into this project. This thesis aims to examine the possibilities of implementing temporary outdoor artshows on this site. First; is there any interest in exhibiting art at this site? And secondly, if that is the case, what are the spatial needs and how can you prepare the place for future exhibitions and still keep its flexibility for different kinds of art forms to comfortably perform at this site?.

Ledarskap är bland ett av de mest observerade men minst förstådda fenomen. De förändringar organisationer har genomgått de senaste decennierna har medfört att mellanchefens roll har förändrats. Dessa förändringar innefattar både strukturella och stra-tegiska förändringar med allt vad det innebär. All förändring som skett gör det viktigt att för-stå varför en mellanchef antar en viss roll och vilka faktorer som påverkar denna roll.
