The aim of this thesis is to study whether social welfare secretaries experience occupational Pride and what affects this feeling. Previously made research indicate that occupational Pride is essential for performance and work-related health. Research has also shown that social welfare secretaries often experience unhealthiness due to working conditions and a lack of professional self-esteem.This thesis is based on four qualitative interviews which have focused especially on critical incidents, according to the critical incident technique. This study has a hermeneutic, interpretative approach. As a theoretical framework, Pierre Bourdieu? s theory on social space and positions aswell as Aaron Antonovsky´s theory on Sence of coherence have been used. The result shows that the interviewed social welfare secretaries do experience occupational Pride.

In this thesis the survival and development of a yearly recurring event will be examined. The purpose of this work is to examine how the festival Stockholm Pride has developed and to find out what underlying factors and conditions that lays behind the development. Also being examined is how the event affects Stockholm city?s tourism industry. To be able to fulfill the purpose of the thesis a qualitative research has been used and two persons with allot of knowledge about Stockholm Pride and Stockholm?s tourism industry has been interviewed.

I denna uppsats undersöker jag hur det är att arbeta som hbt-aktivist i Litauen, och redogör för hur man som aktivist förbereder sig inför landets första Prideparad: Baltic Pride. Uppsatsens syfte är att ur ett queerteoretiskt perspektiv undersöka hur litauiska hbt-aktivister arbetar för att synliggöras som grupp.Jag undersöker på vilka sätt litauiska hbt-aktivister förhåller sig till, och verkar inom, heteronormativa praktiker i sitt dagliga arbete och i förberedelserna av Baltic Pride. Mitt material består av sex semi-strukturerade intervjuer med litauiska hbt-aktivister.Resultatet visar att det litauiska samhällets i mångt och mycket negativa inställning till hbt-personer påverkar hur aktivisterna väljer att presentera sig själva som grupp. I presentationen av sig själva vill aktivisterna bryta ner stereotypa bilder av homosexualitet genom att iscensätta ett genusbeteende som associeras till normalitet. Inom ramen för Baltic Pride innebär detta en slags Anti-Pride, där iscensättningen av hbt-identiteten som en del av normen uppfattas som en effektivare strategi för att utmana heteronormen snarare än att använda lekar med könsroller, stereotyper eller parodier av normativa genusbeteenden..

The aim of this Masters thesis is to examine how Jane Austens Pride and Prejudice, first published in 1813, was established in different literary orbits after the transformation to the television medium in 1995. I also want to find out what this adaptation meant for the popularity of Jane Austen, the circulation of her works and the rebirth of her authorship. It has furthermore been of interest to discuss the reasons why Jane Austen and her works became so popular. Questions posed in the study are: What has the 1995 production of Pride and Prejudice meant for the spreading of Jane Austens literary work and for the rebirth of her authorship? How has Pride and Prejudice moved between the literary orbits after it became a television-serial in 1995? Why did the circulation get the character it got in the 1990s? In order to find feasible answers to these questions I have used Hans Hertels model of the five literary orbits as theoretical starting point.

Syftet med denna uppsats var att med en kvalitativ intervjumetod undersöka hur reportrar från olika medier resonerade när de i sin yrkesroll bevakade arrangemanget av HBTQ-festivalen Stockholm Pride. Med hjälp av Michel Foucaults teorier om makt analyserades intervjusvaren för att upptäcka vilka föreställningar om makt som reportrarnas journalistiska metoder inkluderade..

SYFTE Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur föreningen Stockholm Pride kommunicerade efter Pridefestivalen 2011. Festivalen gjorde ekonomisk förlust och föreningen kunde inte betala alla sina räkningar. (Enligt årsbokslutet gick man back med 3,9 miljoner kronor.) Man kan tänka sig att en sådan situation hotar förtroendet för Stockholm Pride hos festivalens besökare, volontärer, sponsorer, artister, olika aktörer och intressenter. Frågan hur man försöker återvinna förtroendet blir intressant. Hur kommunicerar Stockholm Pride? Hur försöker Stockholm Pride återskapa förtroende?TEORI Att återskapa förtroende är centralt för en organisation i kris.

This study examines how the media reports on the Pride Festival in Stockholm and what news topics and themes it prioritizes. The purpose of this paper is to examine whether the media coverage of Pride highlights political questions related to social and societal problems. One of the main focuses of the study is on how the media covers male and female homosexuality. The newspapers examined are the tabloids Aftonbladet and Expressen and the respected dailies Dagens Nyheter and Svenska Dagbladet. The study extends over three periods: 19-07-2010 to 07-08-2010, 25-07-2011 to 14-08-2011, and 24-07-2012 to 11-08-2012.Several key theories and themes frame the study.

The purpose of this paper is to examine how events can be successful and stay competitive.Festivals are a big part of the event world and it can be difficult to understand why certainfestivals are successful and others not. In this paper we have conducted a comparison betweentwo major festivals in Stockholm. Both of them reached success, but nevertheless one of themfailed, while the other one is still successful. With this comparison, it appeared that there aremany aspects that help a festival to reach success but also factors that can make a festival afailure. To conduct this study, a number of interviews have been carried through; these havelater been put in relation to different theories about festivals.

The purpose of this study is to examine how the work with young people at home to care and accommodation (HVB) are organized in a municipality outside Karlstad and how the staff perceive emotions in the workplace. The issues that are discussed are based on the concepts of social ties, emotional labor, roles, shame and Pride. The number of people who are fleeing in the world is today about 51 million. There has not been this high since World War II. The Swedish Migration Board calculated that about 7,000 of these people were unaccompanied children and came to Sweden in 2014.

The purpose of this essay is using theories about labeling and social bonds to study whether a measure of rehabilitation for the psychically disabled contributes to a return to a normal status as not-labeled. Partly we examine whether the activities organized by the regulation-ruled authorities during the work of rehabilitation lead to shame or Pride, and partly how these activities are organized regarding the processes that lead to the emotions Pride or shame among the participants. Method: qualitative semi-structured face-to-face interviews with professional rehabilitation-actors at the Public Employment Office (PEO), the Social Insurance Office (SIO), the Social Service (SOS), the Psychiatry and the Division of Labour Market (AME).Conclusions: the Psychiatry clients are treated with respect, may participate, and communication is characterized by attunement, therefore strong social bonds can be built. On the contrary, among the other examined activities, we found many elements that arouse shame. Since these are more ruled by regulations, the result is engulfment and demands on conformity, because the compromise-possibilities are almost non-existent.
