Syftet: Öka kunskapen för att förbättra fallprevention genom att beskriva och jämföra förekomst av fall, fallförebyggande åtgärder samt undersöka attityder bland äldre personer relaterat till fall. Metod: En enkätstudie som genomfördes på 80 äldre personer över 65 år bestående av både män och kvinnor som bor i det egna hemmet. Resultat: Det fanns ett signifikant samband mellan de respondenter som undviker aktiviteter inomhus på grund av rädsla för fall och vidtagit fallförebyggande åtgärder. Det fanns även ett svagt samband, dock inte signifikant mellan kvinnor och fallförebyggande åtgärder samt mellan rädsla för fall och fallförebyggande åtgärder. Resultatet visade inga statistiska skillnader mellan gruppen fallit och gruppen ej fallit med avseende på redovisade variabler.

Information and communication technologies (ICT) are constantly evolving in today's information society. The school uses ICT as a teaching tool and it begins to be included at the leisure-time in school by the educators.Aim of this study is to examine how educators describe their perceptions and experiences of using ICT in the leisure activities. The questions is about how the educators use ICT, what they believe children learn of ICT, and which advantages and disadvantages they see with ICT at leisure-time in school.Through a qualitative approach, I have had my questions answered by six trained educators, five of whom are recreational educators and one who is a preschool teacher. These have individually answered my interview questions as an interview took place over a phone call, while the others answered the same questions by e-mail. The interview questions were open-ended questions that were formulated so the educators could respond so freely and fulfilling as possible.The survey shows that teachers use ICT in multimodal approach at leisure-time in school, both in informing parents and in activities with the children.

This essay investigates the pupils, in Swedish upper secondary school in the greater Stockholm area, who choose to study the Russian language as a foreign language. The essay asks; who are these students, and what is motivation behind their language choice? In order to answer these two questions the essay uses both interviews and paper survey. The theoretical background ofth is essay is based on the works and theories of French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu, and thus the question; who are these students is aimed at the students' social and economical background in lines with Bourdieu's theories. The essay also uses the earlier study of Swedish sociologist Mikael Palme, in which he maps the different schools and programs in the greater Stockholm area, in a socio-economical context based on habitus.

This study is about the potential advantages as an investment option in a portfolio. The study shows that the incorporation of bitcoins in a portfolio, even to a small degree, gives significant increases of both risk and return. The different studied portfolios sharpe ratio rises, which in turn shows that the risk reducing return increases when bitcoins is used as an investment option.This study is based on Virtual Currency, Tangible Return: Portfolio Diversification with Bitcoins by Brière, Oosterlinck and Szafarz. The authors of this study have compared their own results with the study mentioned and seen its similarities and differences. The study investigated a total of eleven different assets percentage return over 192 weeks ranging from July 2010 to March 2014.

Millions of animals are annually affected by human activities; in the food industry, zoos and animal shows, clothes and shoes production, furniture and pharmaceutical industry, research, as well as pet and sports animal industry. Companies working with Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR, have become more common and within this area there are great possibilities for companies to work with animal welfare. In this study five companies were interviewed and 27 companies participated in a survey regarding CSR and animal welfare. The aim of this study was to investigate opinion and approach among companies towards implementing animal welfare as a part of their work with CSR. Furthermore the aim of the study was to investigate how companies may implement animal welfare. The result showed that the vast majority of the companies participating in the study works with CSR and the main part of the companies also answered that they have implemented animal welfare. The way of working with animal welfare varied among the participants; e.g.

There is currently an ongoing discussion in Sweden about the need for weather shelter for farm animals being kept outdoors during the winter season. Currently, the national animal welfare legislation requires weather shelter providing the animals? with access to a dry and clean place to rest, but under certain conditions exemptions can be granted. The Swedish Board of Agriculture has put forward a hypothesis that there is a difference between judicial decisions in animal welfare cases dealing with weather shelters, as to whether the animal has shown to be suffering or not. The aim of the study was to highlight any weaknesses or difficulties when assessing animal welfare issues associated to the absence of or design of weather shelters.

Intensivvård definieras av högspecialiserad och högteknologisk vård. Patienter som vårdas på en intensivvårdsavdelning (IVA) är så kritiskt sjuka och/eller skadade att de inte kan vårdas på en vanlig vårdavdelning. Vårdmiljön utsätter patienten för flera yttre faktorer som kan leda till sömnstörning för patienten tillsammans med inre faktorer som stress, smärta och illamående. Intensivvårdssjuksköterskans specialistkompetens är att identifiera omvårdnadsproblem och utföra evidensbaserade omvårdnadsinterventioner för att förhindra komplikationer till följd av sömnstörning. Sömnen innebär flera läkande och uppbyggande processer som uteblir vid brist på sömn.

Anledningen till att detta arbete skrivs är för att vardagsbrottslighetens har en stor på-verkan på människors trygghets känsla i bostadsområdet. Vi har valt att studera två bostadsområden i Malmö, Bo01 samt Lindängen. Dessa två områden skiljer sig på så sätt att Bo01 är ett nybyggt område med bebyggelseplanering som brottspreventiv åt-gärd medan Lindängen är ett område byggt under miljonprogrammet och inget brotts-preventivt tänk har funnits i bilden vid byggandet av området. Uppsatsens huvudsyfte är att belysa den fysiska miljöns betydelse för brottsligheten i ett bostadsområde samt hur man kan hämma brott genom att bygga på ett brottsförebyggande sätt. Vi har gjort denna undersökning genom att studera gamla rapporter och utlåtanden från sakkunniga inom området och sammanställt våra slutsatser från dessa.

This qualitative study is done with the purpose of creating understanding for the theoretical democratic content in educational materials for Civic Education courses 1a1 and 1b during GY-11, so teachers create an intentional approach when using educational materials in their democratic education. This was motivated as important considering the reduction in obligatory Civic Education for the vocational programs. The study was conducted using a hermeneutic qualitative reading method where the educational materials, more specifically two series with one book for each course, was read with purpose of creating understanding for the democratic content according to ideal democratic models: deliberative democracy, participatory democracy and electoral democracy. A text voice analysis was also conducted using Bakhtins theory of dialogic and monologue text that contributed to the general result concerning the democratic content. The results show that the electoral democracy ideal is dominant in all educational materials, there is hence no striking difference between the democratic content in 1a1 and 1b educational materials.

FPGA-kort är ett bra verktyg för företag som snabbt vill kunna ta fram en prototyp för nya projekt, då de är omprogrammeringsbara så att samma hårdvara kan användas för att göra prototyper till mänger av olika system. Ett vanligt programmeringsspråk för att programmera FPGA-kort är VHDL som är ett hårdvarunära språk. Som ett komplement till VHDL är det väldigt användbart att kunna köra något mer generellt programspråk som till exempel C. Detta går att lösa genom att man använder en NIOS2-kärna i FPGA-kretsen och överför kompilerad C-kod till den från en persondator.Denna rapport kommer att beskriva hur man på ett Altera DE2 FPGA-kort kan implementera olika lösningar för att använda externa gränssnitt till en NIOS2?kärna.

Bakgrund: Skolsköterskan har genom sina återkommande hälsosamtal och hälsobesök en unik möjlighet att träffa alla elever och då ställa frågan om de blivit utsatta för våld i hemmet. Det är en svår uppgift att ställa frågan om våld. Skolsköterskan är en person som kan göra stor skillnad i en elevs liv. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att belysa skolsköterskors upplevelse av att fråga barn om våld i hemmet. Metod: Fem intervjuer genomfördes med skolsköterskor praktiskt verksamma i skolor från förskoleklass och till årskurs nio.

Syftet med studien var att belysa om och hur lärare i idrott och hälsa arbetar skadeförebyggande i undervisningen. Vi utgick från en kvalitativ metod och intervjuade åtta utbildade lärare med inriktning mot årskurs 6-9 i ämnet idrott och hälsa. Resultatet kopplas till Haddons (1980) strategier om skadeförebyggande arbete. Genom samtliga intervjuer framkom att lärare medvetet arbetar förebyggande med funktionella idrottsskador och integrerar det i undervisningen. Informanterna menar att det i första hand är aktiviteten som står i fokus och inte huruvida undervisningen sker inomhus eller utomhus men nämner att det finns skillnader i planering och utförande.

The questions asked were designed to help answering thepurpose of the study.Main results: This study shows that in general there is a positive view of Internet datingamong both groups. They appreciate the opportunities it provides, as they get to knowthe other persons personality first. Even so, it should be noted that they still tend to be abit ashamed to talk about Internet dating, and some don?t want to be associated with it.The communication pattern tend to be pretty much the same among both groups.
