The purpose with this thesis is to investigate how to design a urban space so that it is experienced safe and how to implement this at an actual site. Knowledge on the subject has been gathered through litterature studies and interviews with experts. Through an analysis of the site with surroundings and studies of projects with similar problems, practical actions have been observed. Part taking in the municipalities planning process has given insight in the projekt as an whole and the interests of different parties. There are many different opinions about what the word safety means. It is a feeling depending on situation, that is affecting our daily behaviour.

Kolorektalcancer är den tredje vanligaste cancerformen i Sverige. Att kosthållning har en betydelse för utvecklandet av denna sjukdoms uppkomst har under lång tid studerats. Att undervisa och stödja patienter är en viktig del av sjuksköterskans yrke. I bakgrunden presenters de vanligaste kostkomponenternas betydelse för vår hälsa. Med tanke på det ansvar sjuksköterskor har utvecklades syftet som med denna litteraturstudie var att studera och kartlägga samband mellan kost och kolorektalcancer.

I uppsatsen undersöker vi om individers tandvårdsprevention påverkas av ekonomisk riskaversion, hälsoriskaversion samt av deras ekonomiska situation. Med enkätdata från 1834 personer insamlad i Kalmar län 2005 som underlag testas detta med en probit modell. De huvudsakliga slutsatserna är att vid de tandvårdsbeteenden där signifikanta resultat påträffas är det större sannolikhet att en individ med hög ekonomisk riskaversion eller hög hälsoriskaversion har ett preventivt beteende än en individ med lägre riskaversion. Sambandet är dock svagare vid hälsoriskaversion. En hög inkomst ökar ofta sannolikheten för ett preventivt beteende, vilket tyder på att inkomsteffekten dominerar.

SammanfattningBakgrund: Våra matvanor grundläggs tidigt i livet. Med tanke på det rådande hälsoläget i Sverige och världen behöver långvarigt preventiva insatser sättas in i tidig ålder för att bekämpa utvecklingen av fetma. Salut-satsningen är ett exempel på en preventiv insats som syftar till att främja hälsa hos barn och ungdomar. Syfte: Att undersöka hur förstagångsmödrar upplever och uppfattar den information om hälsosamma matvanor som mödrahälsovården (MHV), barnavårdscentralen (BVC) och folktandvården ger inom Salut-satsningen. Metod: Kvalitativa semistrukturerade telefonintervjuer utfördes med 18 strategiskt utvalda förstagångsmödrar vars barn var i åldern ett till ett och ett halvt år.

This report is the result of a master thesis at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Division of Industrial and Economical Development, at Linköping University of Technology. The project was carried out on behalf of Fanerami AB, Mjölby and includes 20 weeks of full time schedule work.Cabinets with vertical mounted roller shutters all share the same problem, namely weight balancing. A roller shutter has an equilibrium area where the sum of the different forces acting on the shutter equals zero. As the shutter leaves that area it will pick up speed as it falls towards the bottom. When the shutter hits the bottom of the cabinet there is a potential risk of getting fingers caught and in this project a solution to prevent this from happening was to be presented.In this project, three concepts have been generated with the following different purposes:?In concept 1 the risk of getting any fingers caught when the shutter closes was to be eliminated in an efficient and inexpensive way.?In concept 2 the roller shutter had to be balanced at all time providing the possibility to keep the cabinet open in any position.?The last and most challenging task was to create a remote controlled TV cabinet.

?Mechanical debridment ? A studie in irrigation optimization? is a final thesis which was executed by Fredrick Ekman, in close collaboration with the other group member Mikael Johansson, during the spring 2012. The thesis was carried out through Karlstad University Faculty of Technology and Science in the study program of Innovation and Design Engineering (180 ECTS credits). The client of the project was Medilink AB located in Lindesberg, and the contact person was Nils-Erik Söderström, Chief Executive Officer. Starting at the end of the Cold War, this publication assesses the impact of the upheavals in Eastern Europe and the atrophic Soviet Union on the Swedish doctrine of neutrality with its 200 year old tradition. Since the end of world war two the proximity of the Soviet Union had constituted the major impetus for upholding a position of neutrality and as this vanished a pressure for change was created. This essay works with a theoretical framework delineated by Kjell Goldmann and under this disposition, the Swedish tradition of neutrality, governmental positions, opposition and four major influential newspapers are studied. The standings of each variable are canvassed in an attempt to explain the development of Swedish security policy during the crucial years of 1988-1992..

Venösa bensår är ett stort hälsoproblem och medför en stor kostnad för samhället. Trots att mycket forskning har gjorts inom området behandlingar av venösa bensår, appliceras inte detta tillräckligt i vården. Patienter som lever med venösa bensår upplever oftast en försämrad livskvalitet. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att ur ett omvårdnadsperspektiv belysa effekterna av kompressionsbehandlingar och hudtransplantationer vid venösa bensår. Resultatet var en bearbetning av 18 vetenskapliga artiklar som sammanställdes utifrån olika problemområden. Resultatet visade att patientens följsamhet påverkar graden av sårläkning.

The report begins with a general inventory of possible technical faults in a hydropower plant and of possible fault indicating measurements. Then an investigation is made concerning a few different faults. Based on this investigation a choice on seal box condition and water leakage is made as problem for a more thorough examination, in which it is concluded that the turbine water leakage is larger when the turbine is put into operation. The examination ultimately results in a computer alarm for faults related to the seal box. Finally a few things are mentioned about flow measurement and pressure measurement in relation to the project as a whole..

Vid exponering av latexhandskar kan latexallergi utvecklas, vilket kan orsaka livshotande reaktioner. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie är att belysa riskfaktorerna för utveckling av latexallergi samt hur denna kan förebyggas och hindras i sin utveckling. Metoden är en litteraturstudie, baserad på elva kvantitativa vetenskapliga artiklar. Resultatet har kategoriserats efter riskfaktorer och preventiva åtgärder. Kategorierna som framkom var: att vara atopiskt lagd, korsreaktioner med frukt och grönsaker, pudret i latexhandskarna, screening och övergång till puderfria latexhandskar.

Äldre patienter med höftfraktur löper pga hög ålder och immobilitet en ökad risk att utveckla trycksår. Detta skapar onödigt mänskligt lidande och ökade samhällskostnader. Många trycksårsfall kan undvikas om preventiva åtgärder sätts in i ett tidigt skede. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att studera hur sjuksköterskor kan förebygga trycksår hos ovannämnda patientgrupp. Metoden är baserad på en litteraturstudie med sökning i flera databaser.

With the development of the Internet, illegal copying of electronic documents has become a growing problem. There is an increasing need of prevention in the field of pirate copying. One method is to mark the document by changing some of the words to synonyms. In this way it is possible to construct legal copies which do not differ in content but still are unique. Since the copies of the documents are unique, it is possible to trace the owner of a document and accordingly call him or her to account for pirate copying if several exactly similar copies are reaching the market.

High-precision cutting in metal is very complicated, a lot of parameters affect the result: what geometries to be manufactured, surface roughness and tolerances to be achieved, batch size etcetera. When pull-broaching internal parts this might be even more important, than in any other cutting operation. Everything is machined in one single stroke and the general technology is built in to the tool, therefore big investments must be made to change the process. Milling for an example: one piece at a time is machined away, and a lot of parameters can be changed easily.It is very high pressure on the cutting-edge when the broach is cutting. To achieve the specified product and to avoid unnecessary toolwear it is essential to use the right cuttingfluid and the right cuttingspeed for an example.

Bakgrund: Kroniska bensår definieras som sår som sitter på underbenen och/eller fötterna och läker väldigt långsamt. I Sverige lider ca 50 000 personer av bensår och det är främst äldre som drabbas. Vanligaste orsaken till bensår är cirkulatoriska rubbningar som arteriell rubbning och venös insufficiens. Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats var att beskriva patienters upplevelser av att leva med bensår. Metod: Sökning och sammanställning av tidigare forskning.
