I denna undersökning tar vi reda på hur det går att förbättra läroböckernas presentation av begreppet derivata i matematik kurs C. Författare till fem olika matematikböcker intervjuades för att ta reda på varför författarna valt det upplägg de har. Böckerna som avhandlas är: Matematik 3000, Matematik från A till E, Liber Pyramid, Räkna med Vux och Exponent. Även nio lärare som använder någon av dessa böcker har intervjuats för att få veta vad lärarna tycker om upplägget. Resultatet visade att det inte finns något optimalt sätt att presentera derivatan som passar alla lärare.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate peoples experience when listening at audio books. During recent years the use of audio books has increased significantly. With that knowledge and the fact that this is an almost unexplored area within Library- and Information science our interest grew even stronger. The thesis is based on two different theories. To be able to place audio books in a context we have applied a media- consumption perspective by asking questions like when, where and how the media-consumption takes place.

This paper is part of the research programme ViSuCity, a programme with the goal of creating more sustainable urban planning through the development of better visual tools, which ultimately means better communication between various parties of public planning. The paper concerns the implementation of MCE into a 3D program for visualization. Multi criteria evaluation (MCE) is a technique that has been developed during the last 20 years. It merges GIS with AHP, forming a decision making tool for localization of, for example, new buildings.The result is an automated tool that enables advanced analysis of geographic areas.The tool has a very high potential due to the completely automated MCE and it is adapted for people without a technical background, let alone formal training in MCE. It provides great opportunities to test different scenarios, something that should be an important advantage.

In this paper we have theoretically built a house designed for people with impaired mobility. Theessay begins with an introduction in which the purpose of the work, the methodology and thedepth-research part is presented. Then the layout that explains how we intend to adapt the housefor the demands detailed in the depth-research part is presented. In the same chapter variousstructural components, such as different floors and walls, are specified.In the selection of materials we have taken into account the criteria of our specialization andadaptation to the aesthetic aspects, where we evaluate materials based upon our wishes regardingtechnique and form. There are also other aspects that are important in the selection of materials,including that these are adapted to technical traits of the construction elements and installations.In a later chapter the technical installations such as ventilation systems, heating systems,electricity and sanitation are presented, where both technical and financial aspects are describedin detail.

Michelangelo Antonioni (1912-2007) belonged to a generation of filmmakers that breathed new life into cinematic expression in the annals of modern-day European film history. By employing his background as a documentary filmmaker, Antonioni used these skills to help establish his own particular style. There was a distinct evolution of style which progressed during his triology L´Avventura, La Notte and L´Eclisse, 1959-1962. This theises presents a comperative study between his earlier films in black and white and his first color film - Il deserto roso, from 1964. By observing color in relation to narrative, dialouge, acting and elements of mise-en-scène, I suggest different answers than those previously discussed among critics concerning this interrelationship.

Syftet med denna studie är att ge en insikt i hur elever med kombinerade läs- och skriv och matematiksvårigheter tänker och resonerar vid problemlösning.Tre elever i år 8, som alla ingår i samma specialundervisningsgrupp i matematik, har arbetat med olika typer av matematisk problemlösning, såväl individuellt som i grupp. Med utgångspunkt i deras arbete skapas början till en grundad teori.I forskningssammanhang behandlas ofta denna kategori elever (med kombinerade problem) som en enhetlig kategori som jämförs med t ex elever med enbart matematiksvårigheter, normalpresterande elever osv. Denna undersökning visar dock att de svårigheter eleverna uppvisar är av mycket olika karaktär.Studien omfattar tre delar: en presentation av fältstudien och resultaten från denna, en metoddel innefattande en pilotstudie som koncentreras på datainsamlingsmetoden samt en omfattande litteraturstudie som behandlar problemlösning och inlärningssvårigheter..

Arkitekttävlingar är ett moment inom arkitektprofessionen som handlar om att i en tävling med andra arkitekter åstadkomma det bästa förslaget på utformning, funktioner och användning av en plats eller byggnad. Vad krävs för att göra det? Den här kandidatuppsatsen skrevs på institutionen för stad och land, Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet under vårterminen 2013 med avsikt att lära sig mer om tävlingar, skapandet av högkvalitativa tävlingsförslag och hur man vinner arkitekttävlingar. Syftet var att genom en jämförande studie undersöka vad vinnande tävlingsförslag har gemensamt. Jämförelsen gjordes på fem vinnande tävlingsförslag som matchade tre kriterier. De skulle vara aktuella, från tävlingar huvudsakligen för landskapsarkitekter och med likartade tävlingsuppdrag gällande gestaltning av platser.

En kravspecifikation kan benämnas som en bro mellan analysfasen och design- och implementationsfasen, vilket innebär att kravspecifikationen är en viktigt kommunikationslänk för en bra slutprodukt. Detta arbete berör kravspecifikationen och de behov analytiker och implementatörer har på en kravspecifikation. Behoven gäller innehåll och presentation av innehåll för att uppnå egenskapen kommunicerbarhet. Kommunicerbarhet är att kravspecifikationen skall fungera som en kommunikationskanal kring produkten mellan intressenter och att den ska vara förståelig för samtliga intressenter.Frågeställningen i arbetet har undersökts genom att genomföra en survey med intervjuer. Målgrupp var analytiker och implementatörer på IT-företag som utvecklar administrativa system.

The main project Dry preservation of source-separated organic household wastes involves a new technique for treatment of biowaste through drying. Investigations are going on to determine how the dried biowaste best can be used to close the natural circular flow of nutrients. The objective of this degree project is to determine if the dried biowaste can be used as a soil conditioner. By restoring the nutrients in the material to the ground, the natural circular flow is closed. A declaration of contents, including the nutrient levels, C/N ratio, pH and the electrical conductivity of the dried biowaste, was constructed and a germination test was done to make sure that the material did not inhibit sprouting.

This master thesis deals with the theme of memory, it is through an artistic process I have investigated and peeled off to a specific memory, the hut. It is in the work of the personal memory through a craft process it transforms into something public. The hut is constructed out of corrugated boxes, corrugated boxes casted in clay. To cast an object differs according to me from sculpting the object; it is the function rather than the sensual feeling that is sought after. It is about the clarity and accuracy through the casted object that suggest something vague and indeterminate.

Karol Szymanowski (1882-1937) var en polsk tonsättare. Stiliserade kompositioner utgör en stor del av hans verksamhet. Szymanowski inspirerades av polska nationella folkdanser (krakowiak, kujawiak, mazur, oberek och polonez) samt av Podhalemusiken. På vilket sätt använde han folkmusiken i sina kompositioner och vilken plats har de stiliserade kompositionerna i hans verksamhet? Uppsatsen innehåller en presentation av Szymanowski som tonsättare, en karakteristik av polska nationella folkdanser och av folkmusiken från Podhale samt en analys av utvalda stiliserade pianokompositioner av Szymanowski.

Syftet med vårt arbete var att studera vilka övningar och arbetsmetoder en amerikansk skola använder för att förbättra elevers muntliga framställning. Den empiriska delen av vår undersökning genomfördes i en amerikansk skola med 20 elever i åldrarna 12-13. Observationerna genomfördes i ämnena performance, council samt speech. Studien var av kvalitativ karaktär och genomfördes med ostrukturerade observationer. Vi kände snabbt stor skillnad mellan de svenska skolor vi besökt tidigare under vår utbildning och den amerikanska skolan beträffande elevernas vilja att tala.

This is a study that was conducted during a three day exercise of the Swedish Armed Forces called ?Amfibieförbandet?, which is shortened as AMF, in Gothenburg. During the exercise three scientists followed the crew on the boats and this is one of the studies that became the result of the observation made during the exercise. The boats that was used during the three days were the boat called ?Stridsbåt 90H? by the Swedish armed forces.

Our greatest interest within crop farming is to grow sugarbeets, that?s why we want to write about something new in this sector. We heard that a new concept had come to Sweden so we wanted to find out everything about this machine. This new technique was a self-propelled cleaning loader for sugarbeets. This machine is supposed to replace a loader and a cleaning machine when the sugarbeets is going to be loaded, cleaned and delivered to the sugerbeet factory. The cleaning loader picks up the sugarbeets with rollers from the pile, which is placed close to the road.

Mass media is becoming more and more personalized and despite common ideas it could actually be a good thing. Instead of affecting the actual content of news coverage it might only have an effect on the way in which news are presented. Famous politicians more regularly become symbols and synonyms for their parties or for the government and are being used to create interest in the beginning of articles.Those are the results from a content analysis of the newspaper coverage of the Swedish parliamentary election in 1976 and 2006 in which the scientist categorized each article in one of four ideal types, counted quotes and analyzed whether personal names were interchangeable with party names without affecting the content. All three methods showing that it is the presentation, not the content, which has been personalized.At the same time, psychology-science tells us about the human brains associative learning processes, where memorizing becomes far more efficient when the information can be connected to an already known person. Increased personalization of news might therefore increase the political knowledge of the receivers..
