The aim of this study was to find possible relations between behaviour and physiology for puppies during different parts of a puppy test. This work deals mainly with the physiological part of the study. Thirtysix puppies, från five litters, were tested in a behaviour test where heart rate was measured and saliva samples were collected before and after each part in the test. Saliva and urine samples were analyzed for corisol concentration as an indicatior of stress. The tests were performed during two consecutive days in the breeders' home when the puppies were seven weeks old. In addition, heart rate and cortisol levels were also measured in the bitch since we were interested in finding out if there were any relations between physiological levels in bitches and puppies.

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie är att sammanställa litteratur gällande olika typer av förband samt omläggningsfrekvens vid omvårdnad av central venkateter. Författarna har gjort en systematisk litteraturstudie och följt Goodmans sju steg i forskningsprocessen. Totalt inkluderades 15 vetenskapliga artiklar efter litteratursökning i databaserna PubMed, CINAHL, Cochrane Library samt via kompletteringar i ELIN. Artiklarna granskades av två oberoende bedömare utefter modifierade granskningsprotokoll och kvalitetsbedömdes därefter. Resultaten av denna sammanställning visar en tendens åt att sterila kompresser än så länge har ett litet försprång gentemot transparenta förband, i synnerhet när insticksstället inte läkt.

Denna studie behandlar frågor om media, ideal och ungdomar. Media har stor betydelse i dagens samhälle och förmedlar bilder av utseendet som skapar olika ideal. Ungdomar är mer mottagliga för dessa ideal eftersom de befinner sig i en period i livet när de försöker finna sin egen stil. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur tv presenterar utseendet i de tv- program som ungdomar tittade på. Vi genomförde en mindre enkätundersökning som visade att ungdomarna såg mest på tv-programmen Idol 2005, Vänner och OC.

Intranet is today a common technical groupware to communicate in many organisations. People can interact through the Intranet and communicate within the organization and get relevant information according to their workplace. It can be difficult to get everybody to use the Intranet as an information- and communication tool. This causes problems when people want to reach out with information. With these thoughts we entered our work at Luftfartsverket at Arlanda airport.

Syftet med studien var att ge en överblick av hur en modersmålsundervisning i arabiska bedrivs i nutid. Studien omfattar två undersökningar som ger en bild av det granskade området. Den första delen av undersökningen består av intervjuer med modersmålslärare, medan den andra delen är en enkätundersökning som genomfördes med elever i åk 6 och elever från åk 8 på högstadiet. Hela studien utfördes på en skola i södra Sverige. Studien visade betydelsen av modersmålslärarens roll inom modersmålsundervisning.

Elektronisk affärskommunikation har kommit att influera den privata företagsamheten i allt högre grad. Syftet med denna rapport är att ta reda på hur den privata företagsamheten i Skaraborg använder sig av elektronisk affärskommunikation. Rapporten baserar sig på intervjuer som har gjorts med åtta privata företag inom skilda branscher i Skaraborg. Intervjuerna är uppdelade i fem olika delar, presentation av företagen, e-närvaro, e-handel, e-business samt för- nackdelar och övriga kommentarer.Resultatet som framkom ur undersökningen var att de undersökta företagen har kommit olika långt vad det gäller utveckling och användning av elektronisk affärskommunikation. E-mail och hemsida har nästintill samtliga undersökta företag, men hur pass stor del av de anställda som kan använda sig e-mail samt hur de undersökta företagen använder sig av sin hemsida skiljer sig markant..

The thesis describes the following main question: Will the administrative labour during football tournaments be made easier with the help from a mobile web service or will it convey to unnecessary extra work? To be able to give a good and qualified answer to this question, the thesis will in the beginning describe how the technique for such a system might look like and also describe the existing administrative moments during a football tournament, this is too give the reader a deeper understanding for further reading. The thesis then goes on to describe a concrete system which is tested on three football tournaments. On the basis of the tests, interviews and through analysis of these the thesis will be able to answer our questions. The result which we present in the thesis have unfolded through testing of the system on three chosen football tournaments. The differences in way of labour pre and post the system have been analyzed and through interviews the value of these changes have been assessed. The results achieved in the thesis are as follows, the presented mobile web service does not only decrease the total work effort made by the tournament officials it also speeds up their work.

Background: Obesity surgery is the only technique that has proved to have a long-lasting effect on weight loss. Operation is not a solution but rather a lifelong involvement for the person. To loose a lot of weight means a big adjustment for both body and mind and the operated person may need support, advice, information and encouragement. Aim: The aim was to describe how a person, operated for obesity, can be supported in order to reach improved health pre- and postoperative. Method: A systematic literature study was made which resulted in 18 scientific articles that have been reviewed.

Detta examensarbete undersöker vilken läsinlärningsmetod som lärare i grundskolan främst använder när de möter en elev som ska starta sin läsinlärning. Studien är baserad på intervjuer med sex olika lärare. Två lärare är från södra Sverige och fyra är från mellersta Sverige, varav två är verksamma lärare och två är pensionerade sedan fyra år tillbaka. Genom intervjuerna framkom det att den läsinlärningsmetod som förekommer mest i grundskolan är ljudningsmetoden. Alla informanter framhöll att de använder eller har använt metoden när de ska lära en elev att lära sig läsa.

My intention was to explore the childhood of children and adolescents within the religious organization of Jehovah´s Witnesses, in Sweden. I used a technique where I interviewed three active witnesses and four former members. The former members either had left the religion freely or had been excluded by the movement. I wanted to know more from those two different perspectives, because they often seem to conflict. First of all, I wanted to learn about the persons own upbringing.

The purpose of this essay has been to study the different discourses that are expressed in social welfare secretaries? assertions when they assess cases with elements of honour-related violence, intimidation and oppression. To do so I have used a discourse analysis theory and technique, based on three qualitative interviews with social welfare secretaries. The interviews were focused on vignettes, which were all fictitious cases with various elements of honour-related violence. One of the interviews was a focus groupinterview with four participants, while the other two interviews were individual.

The purpose of this paper was that through discourse analysis look at how gender and the equality debate is created between two head debaters and commenter's on a forum. We have used Norbert Elias and John L. Scotson´s (1999) theory about Established and Outsiders to see power struggles between groups in the debate. With Jonathan Potters analysis tools in his book Representing Reality (1996) we were able to analyze the debate texts. Using discourse psychology, we were able to see how people use tactical discourse in their texts to represent themselves and the world in different ways.

This master thesis takes its point of departure in the conflicting worldviews of modernism and post-modernism. As traditional segmentation theory springs from the modernist worldview, this study aims to contribute to the understanding of the complexity regarding market segmentation for lifestyle brands in contemporary society, where the consumer is often claimed to be post-modern. The research was conducted in Malmö and Lund and involved 25 Converse users as respondents. The methods used in this thesis starts with observations as a sampling technique in order to locate the respondents. Short interviews and photo documentation followed.

The foundation for this thesis lies in whether or not, and how, the body representation in printed commercials, specific products directed to the body (shampoo, body lotion etc.), has changed during the last fifty years. Four years have been chosen because of the changes in society that we believe might have had an impact. The commercials that have been picked out are the ones that best represent the general view of the body. We have found that the changes when it comes to body presentation has followed the social development to a certain degree, but it is difficult to say how much the society has had an affect on the body ideal in advertising. Representations of the male body is something that has escalated since the early 70?s, fifteen years earlier few commercials was made with male models, and the few there were, never showed more than the face.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka skolår 4 elevers förståelse av likhetstecknet. Vi ville även studera hur symbolen presenteras i elevernas läroböcker och mot bakgrund av tidigare forskning diskutera hur detta kan påverka deras förståelse av begreppet. I studien använde vi oss av tre insamlingsmetoder: en kvantitativ undersökning, kvalitativa intervjuer och en textanalys av läroböcker för skolår 3 och 4. Vår undersökning visar att även om eleverna uppvisar bra förståelse av likhetstecknet när de löser uppgifter av strukturell typ, har de svårigheter med att muntligt beskriva likhetstecknets funktion. Textanalysen synliggör att andelen utsagor av operationell typ som framhävs i läroböckerna för åk 3 minskar betydligt i läroböckerna för åk 4.
