The purpose of the study is to examine the multilingual student?s use of IT in school.The study also highlights the teacher?s view of development and how they use IT in their own teaching.A qualitative approach study was conducted to acquire a deeper understanding of students' language learning by using IT. In the study, it was assumed socio-cultural perspective in which learning takes place through interaction with others.The result shows that multilingual students have difficulty understanding information available on the internet and they are either waiting to meet a teacher to get a clearer picture of what to do or doing tasks even though in some cases misunderstand the task. Language teachers also confirm student?s impression and at the same time express the concern that students are reading less.This study shows that there may be correlation between students' learning motivation and an understanding of instructions online.

The aim of my ?two years master thesis? was to examine school administrators perceptions about important information literacy skills that the students should be able to control, perceptions about what role the teachers and the librarians have in teaching students information literacy and perceptions about the collaboration between these groups. My questions have been: Have the school administrators reflected upon the conception of information literacy? What conceptions do school administrators have about important information literacy skills that the students should be able to control? What role do they consider the teachers and the librarians to have in making all students information literate? How do they consider the collaboration between the teachers and the librarians work? What role do they consider themselves to have on a management level to make all students? information literate? I used a phenomenographical method and carried out six qualitative interviews with school administrators from five senior high schools in the municipality of GÀvle. Both public schools and independent schools were included in the study. Most of the school administrators considered information literacy to be the same as criticism of sources, which they also considered as one of the most important information literacy skills.

The purpose of this study is to illustrate teacher humor by critically examining it from an interpersonal- and humor communicative-perspective; and to discuss teacher interpersonal humor communication-skills in relation to the Swedish high school curriculum, collegial relationships and pedagogical aspects. The study?s empiric material consists of semi-structured interviews with six high school-teachers currently working at the same school, but of different age and gender. The interviews indicate that the informants all have developed humor competence, an interpersonal communicative-skill that allows them to use humor efficiently. Moreover, the result demonstrates that the teachers have various humor approaches but that they all use humor in the classroom for much of the same reasons.

The aim of this study was to examine how the activities of two preschools develop the language in matter of the teacher?s work of procedure. The following research questions were essential for the survey and therefore formed the basis of the examination:How do the teachers in both preschools work in a language evolving way?What significance does the environment have for the language development?Are there similarities and differences between the preschools in their language development approach?The study is based on a qualitative method, where the teachers of both preschools were interviewed with the purpose of obtaining information. The teacher?s statements and interviews were analyzed in relation to previous research, where the theories of different writers form the base of the theoretical connection to the study.The teachers view in developing the language regarding to their aspirations in measuring the language an important position in their operation, can be portraied as the conclusions of this study.

Studien ska ta fram vilka motiv och mÄlsÀttningar en förskollÀrare har inför en aktivitet med experiment. Tidigare forskning visar att naturvetenskap och teknik inte varit sÄ högt prioriterade i förskolans pedagogiska verksamhet. DÀrför sÄ reviderade Skolverket LÀroplanen för förskolan 2010, dÄ bl.a. naturvetenskap och teknik fick ett större utrymme i den pedagogiska verksamheten.

Syftet med denna undersökning Àr att undersökaPedagogernas syn pÄ barns motoriska utveckling med inriktning till naturmiljö samt om pedagogerna Àr medvetna om forskningen kring barns motoriska utveckling med inriktning pÄ naturmiljön. Studien bygger pÄ kvalitativa intervjuer. Intervjuerna gjordes pÄ fem olika förskolor med sex olika pedagoger, bÄde förskollÀrare och barnskötare. Förskolorna var placerade i en mellan stor kommun i Sverige. De intervjuade jobbade pÄ 1-3 Ärs avdelning, dÄ detta var vald Äldersgrupp för undersökningen. Av resultatet framgÄr att pedagogerna Àr ute i naturen olika mycket och detta beror pÄ olika faktorer. Det Àr dock medvetna om fördelarna som naturen har med sig för den motoriska utvecklingen och kan inte se nÄgra nackdelar med naturen för den motoriska utvecklingen.Pedagogerna Àr till viss del medvetna om forskningen kring Àmnet, men de anser att medvetenheten Àr olika frÄn pedagog till pedagog. Slutsatsen av studien Àr att pedagogerna Àr medvetna om de fördelar som naturen har med sig för den motoriska utvecklingen och samtliga vill vara ute mer i naturen.

Background: The request for the Reggio Emilia practice has expanded enormously the last couple of years within the Swedish preschools. This particular practice describes the environment as a third educator. This third educator is supposed to work as - not only a tool - but also a support to ease children's learning experiences and help develop their mind. Previous research has shown that design of, for instance, furniture has a way of affecting the children's learning process and development.Aims: The purpose of this study is to see how two different teams of preschool educators on two differed Reggio Emilia inspired preschools work and handle the physical indoor environment. Method: We started out by contacting Reggio Emilia inspired preschools.

Scheduled time for reflective work is common at many Swedish preschools. Reflection is a complex concept that is being used with many different purposes in preschools. The reflective work in Swedish preschools today has its roots in the theories from Vygotskij about how children learn by watching and cooperating with others. Also, many Swedish preschools have taken inspiration from the preschools in Reggio Emilia in Italy, who see the reflective work as something necessary in their work around children?s learning processes.

The aim of this essay is to bring up and mediate a teacher?s life story and professional history to take part of her experience of an animated pedagogy. As a tool I use the life story method, which is a qualitative interview method which purpose is to put the narrative person?s life history in the centre.One of the goals for an animated pedagogy is to learn how to be. Animated pedagogy is about making teaching living and making it meaningful and exciting.

The purpose of this study was to describe the possibility of implementing a lacto-ovo-vegetarian and organic diet in Eskilstuna municipality?s public preschool. Furthermore the purpose was to identify and describe the most important components involved in the implementation and their influence in the process.  The methods used were a survey based on a literature study. This study includes general information about meat production and consumption and also the use of pesticides in farming. It also brings up the environmental and health effects caused by the previously mentioned areas.

AbstractI have chosen to make a study of the learning of reading and writing, as well as other learning difficulties that may occur, in this research.My choice of subject is based on the realizations I made during my time as a student teacher; that each teacher has his/her own way of teaching reading and writing. Sometimes, however, learning difficulties occur, and this insight caught my attention. It made me think about the underlaying reasons and how we, as teachers, can bring attention to these difficulties. With these questions in mind, I recorded my observations based on a series of interviews and literary studies in an attempt to answer my questions. The resulting research emphasizes how important the actions from the teachers are, as well the importance of having variety in your lesson plan.

Denna studie har undersökt sex gymnasielÀrares uppfattningar och upplevelser av den nya lÀroplanen, kopplat till deras erfarenheter ifrÄn den föregÄende lÀroplanen. UtifrÄn kvalitativa intervjuer har lÀrarna fÄtt svara pÄ frÄgor kring betygsÀttning och bedömning i Gy11. Studien har utgÄtt ifrÄn ett lÀroplansteoretiskt ramverk, dÀr Lindes (2006) arenor och Bernsteins (2003) begrepp, klassifikation och inramning, kopplats till lÀrarnas svar för vidare analys. Studiens resultat visade att lÀrarna ansÄg att den nya lÀroplanen var tydligare i mÄnga avseenden, men att vissa formuleringar och begrepp fortfarande var svÄrtolkade och ledde enligt deras Äsikt till ojÀmn bedömning mellan skolorna. LÀrarna var Àven av uppfattningen att den nya betygsskalan ledde till mer rÀttvis bedömning för eleverna.

Problem statement: Nowadays, women have a greater place in literature, both as a writer but also the role of the book and that is why I have chosen to examine how educators reason about their use of literature in preschool to combat the stereotype of gender roles.Motivation: An earlier survey shows that women now have a greater place in the recently released children's literature and, therefore, it is interesting to see how educators see their work on countering gender patterns using picture books. It is also interesting to examine whether the female roles in the books are consistent with the research I've used.Approach: I chose to use qualitative interviews with teachers in two preschools and also examined the recently released children?s books they worked with.Results: The results of my survey shows that teachers thoughts about their work on combating gender pattern occurs on an individual plan and depend on how the teacher interprets the guidelines. My survey also shows that the gender roles in the newly released picture books are consistent with earlier research I?ve used.Conclusion: It is therefore important that educators are aware of how easily gender patterns are induced, it happens on a daily basis through words and expectations that educators have on children..

 Syftet med studien var att genom intervjuer och observationer undersöka pedagogers delaktighet i den fria leken i förskola och förskoleklass. De frÄgestÀllningar som lÄg till grund var, Vad innebÀr vuxnas delaktighet i barnens fria lek? PÄ vilket sÀtt kommer den vuxnes delaktighet till uttryck i den fria leken? Detta för att vi ville veta om vuxna deltar och pÄ vilket sÀtt de deltar i barnens lek. VÄr studie Àr kvalitativ och i metoden Àr vi inspirerade av fenomenografi och sociokulturellt perspektiv. Studien grundar sig pÄ sju intervjuer med pedagoger i förskola och förskoleklass och pÄ observationer, en i förskola och en i förskoleklass.I resultatet kom vi fram till att vuxnas uttryck av delaktighet har visat sig pÄ flera olika sÀtt.
