Problem Faith in the power of advertising has varied largely through the ages, and since we know that advertising is paid for, it therefore has less weight than the usual news. Publicity through promotional activities is in turn difficult to control. The question which of these two ways to communicate with the market that is the most effective, is equally entitled to ask, as difficult to answer. Purpose/Aim This paper is designed as a pilot study with two different objectives that go hand in hand. The first overall aim is to investigate how advertising and PR / publicity can be measured with the same tools while designing this metric.

The purpose of this study was to look at the experiences of midwives in maternalhealth care encounters with non-european-born women and men, and to determine ifmidwives deem any special competence necessary to handle these encounters well.We gathered information by means of qualitative interviews and semi structuredquestions with eight midwives all of whom matched the inclusion criterias and gavetheir personal consent. Midwives from four district health care centers in Uppsalawere included. The interviews were transcribed and analyzed by means of qualitativecontent analysis.The results reveal the experiences from encounters with non-european patients to betwofold. On one hand the encounter is a positive, exiting experience with anopportunity to learn more about a foreign culture and exchange experiences. On theother hand complications can occur as patients may have unexpected expectationsregarding the health care, have great difficulties with the language or haveexperienced traumatizing incidents, all on top of coming to Sweden alone withoutrelatives.In the encounter with non-european-born patients the midwives consider it importantto have special competence in form of knowledge of other cultures and religions asthis provides a greater understanding of the reasoning behind the patients? decisions.Cultural competence is also important as it helps avoid inadvertently insulting thepatient during the encounter.The special competence held by the midwives has been attained from their basic andspecialist education as well as from self acquired experiences and interests.

Denna uppsats behandlar några frågeställningar i samband med bristtäckningsansvar. Bestämmelserna om bristtäckningsansvar reviderades i samband med införandet av den nya aktiebolagslagen som trädde ikraft 1 januari 2006. Tre särskilda ansvarssituationer varpå en utomstående kan åläggas bristtäckningsansvar vid en olovlig värdeöverföring kommer främst att belysas. Dessa är medverkansansvar för ?annan?, medverkansansvar för faktiska och formella företrädare samt medverkansansvar på grund av mottagande i andra hand.

However, despite that notion strength and function in the hand?s complex biomechanical system are in fact both needed to cope with daily life. The grip function is a main function in the hand and is used in many examples of scientific research, for instance when assessing physical health and predicting the probabilities of premature mortality.

Syftet med denna studie är att synliggöra vilka uppfattningar elever i skolår 9 har av bedömning i matematikämnet.En förändring har skett i synen på bedömning. Eleverna ska bli bedömda formativt under processens gång och inte bara summativt med fokus på produkten. Summativa prov är vanligast vid bedömning i matematik och därför var det intressant att undersöka hur eleverna ser på bedömning i ämnet. Undersökningen genomfördes i två skolor, där sju elever intervjuades och 99 elever deltog i en enkätundersökning. Huvudundersökningen var intervjuerna med fokus på deras uppfattningar och studien har därför genomförts med en fenomenografiskt inspirerad ansats.

Studiet undersöker kompetensutvecklings möjligheter för bemanningskonsulter. Intresset är stort i att ta reda på vilka kompetensutvecklingsmöjligheter finns och om bemanningskonsulter har tillgång till dem möjligheterna. Intresset finns även i hur bemanningskonsulterna själva uppleva deras utvecklingsmöjligheter och anställningsbarhet, jämfört med kundföretagens egna anställda. Undersökningen gjordes genom att intervjua några av bemanningskonsulter som är på en långtids uppdrag hos ett kundföretag inom bilindustrin, samt några av kundföretagets egna anställda som fick sin anställning på kundföretaget efter att har varit konsulter på uppdrag hos det kundföretaget. En jämförelse gjordes sedan mellan bemanningskonsulter och företagets egna anställda för att undersöker hur de upplever sina respektive kompetensutveckling.

The main purpose of this paper is to describe and analyse how social worker on a specific Social Service Agency describe their experiences. My focus has been to concentrate on social worker, whose task is related to young people. The paper is presented from three different themes; work assignments, professional roles and projects in life. The central questions are; Which are the socialworker´s main tasks? How does the social worker see himself in his professional role? Have their expectations been fulfilled? Where do they get their motivation from? Which are the reasons why the job as social worker is so strenuous? I have interviewed four social workers (semi-structured interviews), and a qualitative method is used.

Syftet med examensarbetet är att ta reda på hur barn lär sig att skriva med hjälp av datorn i en förskoleklass och en förstaklass. Frågeställningarna som jag utgår från är: Hur används datorn i den tidiga skrivundervisningen? Hur uppfattar barnen skrivandet på datorn? Undersökningen är en fallstudie av de två klasserna där jag har observerat och intervjuat barnen och lärarna.Hur lärarna arbetar med datorn i den tidiga skrivundervisningen visar sig ha stor betydelse för hur arbetet vid datorerna upplevs och fungerar. I arbetet med skrivande på datorer tillåts varje barn eller elev att utvecklas i egen takt oavsett utgångspunkt. Genom att samarbeta vid datorn lär barnen och eleverna sig av och med varandra.

Abstrakt Produkten som jag har utvecklat är en mjukvarubaserad 3D-renderare. För att göra en sådan produkt är man tvungen att gå djupt in i området 3D och utföra alla beräkningar på egen hand. Dessa tar annars grafikkortet hand om. Denna rapport förklarar varför jag har valt att göra en egen mjukvarubaserad 3D- renderare och vad den är för något och i vilka områden den används. Här förklaras även min syn på programmering, digitala spel, vad programmering innebär för mig och hur min syn på spel har påverkat mig med tiden.

Title: Creativity and blockings: Non-musicians? experiences of music making The purpose of this study was to investigate whether the ability of music-making can benefit from and/or be inhibited by extra-musical factors, such as one's own or other people's opinions, criticism, prejudice and values. An experiment was carried out, where 10 nonmusicians were instructed to solve a compositional problem (writing pieces of music to a picture) which had been expressed in two different ways, one of which (A) was intended to block creativity and the other (B) to facilitate the creative process. All subjects also had to answer a questionnaire, where their experiences in connection with the task and their attitudes towards music and composition were mapped. The result was that all subjects succeeded in composing one or more pieces of music, regardless of which instruction they had been given.

X-rays are a potential risk for animal health care personnel. The present study will examine the risks for scattered radiation to the personnel, if no lead gloves are used when holding an animal during the x-ray examination. Furthermore, how the impact of the exposure values and body parts examined, affect the scattered dose to the hands of the holder. Also, the distance between the animal and the hand that holds it was evaluated to see the impact on scattered radiation exposure. Tested by a survey, to animal health care students, the frequency of the usage of lead gloves in Swedish animal hospitals was studied. According to the results from the analysis, animal health care personnel don't need to use lead gloves every time they hold an animal or a cassette during x-ray examinations.

The ?good girl? is today an accepted and widespread notion. It is delimited to young girls and women who are characterised to be, for example, ambitious, high performing, working too much and risks developing mental illnesses. In today?s society women are assumed to pursue their career alongside maintaining the main responsibility for the household and family.

Uppsatsen har för avsikt att undersöka hur den nypaganistiska, och i första hand nordamerikanska, rörelsen Church of All Worlds reagerar mot förändring och institutionalisering. För att förstå institutionaliseringsprocessens bakomliggande krafter och identifiera dess konsekvenser, är det övergripande syftet med uppsatsen att utifrån en fallstudie av Church of All Worlds undersöka hur organisationen under sina verksamhetsår förändrats i fråga om (1) förhållande till samhället, (2) ideologi, (3) organisatorisk struktur och (4) ledarskap. Utgångspunkten är att betrakta rörelsen som dels religiös och spirituell, dels organisatorisk och ekonomisk, varför uppsatsen lutar sin teoribildning mot både religions- och samhällsvetenskapen och mot organisationsteorin. Som samhälleliga samt organisatoriska faktorer till Church of All Worlds institutionalisering finner vi den postmoderna motreaktionen mot industrisamhällets missförhållanden samt kritiken mot existensen av den objektiva sanningen. Institutionaliseringens följder är emellertid att rörelsen slutligen upptas som en del av det sen-moderna samhällssystemet.
