Föräldrars upplevelser av att leva med ett barn som har typ 1 diabetes
BackgroundType 1 diabetes is a chronically disease that often occurs in early life. In every year around 77.000 children in the world is estimated with type 1 diabetes. When a child gets a chronically disease it affects the whole family, specially the parents who will be the child's caregiver.AimThe aim of this study was to describe parents experiences of living with a child with type 1 diabetes.MethodA literature review was carried trough based on 10 qualitative scientific articles. The articles were analyzed and two main themes and seven subthemes emerged.ResultsAll parents experienced that they needed some kind of support particularly early in their illness. They felt it was a big responsibility to take care of their child with diabetes and parents often felt anxiety and fear associated with the disease.
Tandvårdsrädsla, generell oro och självkänsla : Dental fear, general anxiety and self-esteem
Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka hur coachning kan ses som stöd för elevernas lärande på en gymnasieskola i Mellansverige. Studien belyser coachning utifrån perspektiv på lärande ur ett fenomenologiskt inspirerat angreppssätt. Insamling av data har gjorts med hjälp av kvalitativa intervjuer. Totalt intervjuades åtta personer varav dessa var 4 lärare och 4 elever i årskurs 3.Undersökningen visar att coachning kan ses som stöd för elevernas lärande dels genom att det medvetandegör elevens egen potential till att utveckla sig och dels att lärarna blir medvetna om vilka fungerande strategier eleven använder sig utav för att optimera bästa möjliga lärandesituation. Arbetssättet innebär att elever får stor frihet att välja kunskapsinnehåll utifrån kursplan.
Patienters upplevelser och attityder till tandhygienistbehandling, samt ett reliabilitetstest av mätinstrumenten Corah Dental Anxiety Scale och Dental Hygienist Beliefs Survey
The aim of the study was to examine experiences and attitudes to dental hygienist treatment in a group of patients by using the assessment tools Corah Dental Anxiety Scale (DAS) and Dental Hygienist Beliefs Survey (DHBS) at the dental hygienist clinic, the university of Kristianstad. Another aim of the study was to test the reliability of the assessment tools. Methods: Fifteen respondents answered the two questionnaires at two different occasions before dental hygienist treatment. The results showed that nine respondents reported that they are absolutely calm when their dental hygienist is going to remove tartar, while six are a little bit worried or tensed. The categories ethics, communication, trust and control in DHBS had a positive agreement (mean value 1.1 and 1.2).

With many different elective courses to choose between, a lot of students experience anxiety over deciding which courses to study next semester. The choice of a specific course can have a big impact on the students future studies and/or employment. Therefore the anxiety is justified. At the same time the number of students applying for a course often vary from year to year. This creates issues for the responsible teachers because of the ever-changing resource requirements.There are several different theories on decision making, addressing the different time related states as well as the different habitual styles.

Background:Alzheimer´s disease is a so-called degenerative dementia in which brain cells gradually degenerate and die. The disease causes memory disorders and the trait of character disappears. Alzheimer´s disease also affects the related parties that may take a great responsibility. Related caregivers are entitled to support from healthcare. Aim:The aim of the study was to describe the experiences of being related when caring for a person suffering from Alzheimer´s disease.
Behovet av kontroll bland intagna i fängelse : Samband mellan stress och hälsoångest bland intagna i kriminalvården
Syftet var att undersöka samband mellan stress, hälsoångest, sjukvårdsbesök samt läkemedelsförbrukning i fängelsemiljö. Respondenterna var 66 män i åldrarna 21 - 68 år med avtjänade straff från en månad till tretton år och nio månader. Studien baserades på självskattningsfrågeformulär vilket mäter stress (Perceived Stress Scale, PSS ) och hälsoångest (Health Anxiety Inventory, Short Version, SHAI). Dataanalyser kontrollerade samband, predicerbarhet och interaktionseffekter. Resultatet påvisade samband och predicerbarhet mellan stress och hälsoångest samt med hur ofta intagna besöker sjukmottagningen men inget samband med förbrukning av läkemedel.

Nurses need knowledge about parents? experiences to help and support these parents adequately. Aim: The aim of the study was to describe parents? experiences of losing a child to cancer, from diagnosis to the child?s death.
Och bara... let go, liksom : En kvalitativ intervjustudie i hur klarinettpedagoger förbereder sina elever för ett framträdande
Studien syftar till att få djupare insikt i hur några klarinettpedagoger förbereder sina elever inför musikaliska framträdanden. I bakgrundskapitlet presenteras tidigare forskning om nervositet och prestationsångest, samt olika strategier för att hantera det. Vidare presenteras studiens teoretiska utgångspunkt som utgörs av ett didaktiskt perspektiv. Den forskningsmetod som används i studien är kvalitativ forskningsintervju och det är fyra klarinettpedagoger som har intervjuats. Intervjuerna transkriberades, bearbetades och analyserades och de svar som framkommit utgör studiens resultat.

Introduction: Frequent attenders is a term used in health care services that define a person attending a health care setting more than four times during a 12 month period. Recently published research concerning frequent attenders in pediatric emergency departments describes their reasons for attending a health care service or characteristics of these individuals but lacks a qualitative approach exploring their experiences. There is a need of these experiences to be shared so that health care personnel caring for this group may gain a greater understanding of their needs and expectations.Aim: The aim of this study is to describe how parents of children defined as frequent attenders experience the care received at a pediatric emergency department.Method: Qualitative approach with semi-structured interviews. A pilot study of four interviews was conducted to test the method. Sampling consisted of parents of children defined as frequent attenders and that were not diagnosed with a chronic illness.
Skattning av ångest och depression hos prostatacancer patienter och deras partner : Kvalitetsäkring av frågeformuläret ?Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale?
Syfte: Syftet med denna tvärsnittsstudie var att undersöka hur prostatacancer patienter och deras partner skattar sina eventuella nivåer av ångest och depression samt att undersöka om skattningen mellan dessa två grupper skiljer sig åt. Syftet är även att kvalitetssäkra frågeformuläret Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) enligt ?Question-and-Answer?-modellen.Metod: Kvantitativ tvärsnittsstudie med deskriptiv- och jämförande metod användes. Studien innefattade sex patienter samt sex partners, sammanlagt 12 personer. Datainsamlingen skedde med hjälp av enkäter.Resultat: Både patienterna och deras partners skattar relativt låga nivåer av ångest och depression.

Unga flickors psykiska hälsa i södra länsdelen i Örebro län : En kvalitativ studie baserad på Liv & Hälsa Ung från år 2011
This study is about young girls' mental health. In Sweden, the mental health deteriorated in recent years among adolescents, particularly among young girls. Results of the Liv & Hälsa Ung in 2011 in the southern part of the county of Örebro is the basis for the study. The results of the survey showed that a remarkable number of young girls rate their mental health as poor. The purpose of this study was to examine what young girls in southern part of the county of Örebro County believes are contributing factors for good mental health and the method used is qualitative.
Gymnasieungdomars hälsa : En jämförande studie av unga migranters och inrikesfödda ungdomars hälsa
Aim: The aim was to investigate and describe, how students on high school level in Kronoberg county self rated their health with relation to irritation, nervousness/anxiety insomnia and gender. An additional aim was to investigate if there are differences between students born in Sweden by Swedish parents, students born in Sweden by foreign-born parents and foreign-born students. Methods: A quantitative method was used to analyse data gathered from students (n=1936) on high school level in 2006. All statistical analyses were made with help of SPSS V-12. Finding: The findings showed that most of the students self rated their health as ?good?, however migrant students self rated their health as ?not so good? and they had more problems with insomnia. The overall findings showed gender differences. Particularly, foreign-born girls self rated their health as ?not so good? and reported more problems with insomnia. There was no divergence between the groups regarding irritation, nervousness/anxiety. Conclusion: School nurses and health workers must have deep knowledge about differences in gender, self- rated health and insomnia when they work with public health.

The aim of the study is to examine factors influencing students? feelings of pleasure or pain associated with school mathematics. Own experience of students? frustration about mathematics and concern about students not reaching desired goals is the driving force in this study. It contributes with knowledge from the students' perspective.
