The aim of this thesis is to investigate the possibilities for creating a national interlibraryloan system in Sweden and to see how it could be integrated into an international network .The methods used are both qualitative and quantitative. We have sent inquiries to a numberof libraries and we have interviewed keypersons in the interlibrary loan field in Sweden.We have reached the conclusion that in spite of several impediments there is a lot that speaksfor a Swedish national interlibrary loan system in the near future. Vattenfalls ambition är att vara ledande inom miljöområdet. All användning av energi påverkar miljön och vid drift av kraftstationer konsumeras mycket energi. Energieffektivisering är ekonomiskt mycket lönsamt och ger positiva effekter på miljö-och klimat. Vattenfall Power Consultant AB satsar därför tillsammans med övriga Vattenfall på att föra fram dessa frågor och genomföra energieffektiviseringar på bl.a. vattenkraftstationer. Detta examensarbete beskriver på vilket sätt det går att beräkna tillgänglig överskotts energi och hur man kan ta vara på denna energi.

I denna kvantitativa studie undersöks möjligheterna för tre olika varumärken att utvidgas till nya produktkategorier. De tre studieobjekten är Lipton, Lätta och Knorr, som alla är hämtade ur företaget Unilevers varumärkesportfölj. Unilever har även bistått med en väsentlig del av den kvalitativa bakgrundsdata som lagt grunden för hur undersökningen har genomförts. Utifrån svaren från Unilevers representanter samt utifrån befintliga, vetenskapliga teorier inom området varumärkesutvidgning, har en webbaserad konsumentenkät förmedlats till 164 svenska konsumenter som har fått uttrycka sina åsikter om de tre aktuella varumärkena. Enkäten tog även upp sex stycken hypotetiska varumärkesutvidgningar vilka framför allt skulle utvärderas enligt parametrarna ?perceived quality? och ?fit? mellan det ursprungliga varumärket och utvidgningen.

In 2009 The National Land Survey of Sweden, Lantmäteriet, commenced a project intended to provide a new digital elevation model (DEM) of Sweden. The method chosen for the project was airborne laser scanning (ALS). In addition to information about the land surface the project will also provide information about the forest, this as a by-product. This data can be used to estimate forest variables such as height and volume. The estimates are often more reliable than what is standard today. This study is based on interviews with employees and members of the forest owner association Södra in southern Sweden.

This master?s essay presents a study designed to investigate twelve police students?ability to handle academic writing conventions and to show critical-analyticalcompetence in their degree projects, which are written as part of the education atSweden?s three police academies. The education of police officers is not an academicone, and the students? main focus is therefore on writing texts in the field of policediscourse. At the same time, scientific principles and critical thinking are emphasized intheir syllabus, but the question of how students handle the encounter with academicdiscourse has so far not been investigated.

Kvalitetsförsämringen i Sydsveriges tallskogar kan vara ett allvarligt problem och härör bl.a. till ökad produktion och rationaliseringar inom skogsbruket. Lönsamhet har varit målet, men har det skett på bekostnad av kvalitet?För att närmare belysa frågan om förekomsten av tall av god kvalitet syftar denna studie till att bedöma rotstockar i konventionellt skötta och stamkvistade bestånd samt deras potential att växa in i värdefulla klasser eller sortiment.Fältstudien är avgränsad till Bergslagen.

Youth centres- A qualitative study of how midwives relate to the potential ethical dilemma between youths right to integrity and parents right to informationThe aim of this study was to investigate how midwives at youth centres relate to the potential ethical dilemma between parents? right to information that young people between 15-17 years share at the centre, vs. youths right to integrity. The study was based on qualitative interviews with six midwives in various youth centres in Stockholm County. We analysed our empirical material according to Blennbergers consequential ethical model and Bronfenbrenners ecological system model.

When exposed to them, isocyanates can induce serious injuries in the respiratory tract and irritation on the skin and in the eyes. They are therefore interesting from the point of view of occupational health. The purpose of this thesis was to collect isocyanates in air with impinger-filter samplers and solvent free samplers. Furthermore the isocyanates were to be analyzed with liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry. The solvent free sampler consists of a polypropylene tube and filter holder fitted with glass fiber filters impregnated with derivatization reagent, coupled with a pump.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka bildämnets roll och plats i skolans ämnesövergripande undervisning. Bakgrunden till valet av ämnesområde ligger i mångårigt engagemang och arbete med att integrera bildämnet med skolans övriga ämnen. Utifrån ett intervjumaterial undersöks hur bildämnet kan integreras med olika ämnen i skolan men även hur olika lärargrupper förhåller sig och arbetar med bilder i undervisningen. Undersökningsmaterialet utgår från djupintervjuer med fyra utvalda lärare från både grund- och gymnasieskolan. De utvalda skolorna är alla belägna inom storstockholmsområdet.

The use of combi-drilling during spring tillage has become very common in southern Sweden in recent years. Combi-drilling leads to fewer passes on the field and better plant nutrient utilisation. An example of a combi-drill is the Väderstad Rapid, which is very widely used in spring tillage in southern Sweden. The Rapid has separate fertiliser and seed coulters, which means that the draught requirement is relatively high. It thus requires large, heavy tractors, which compact the soil and are comparatively expensive to buy and run. A few years ago the Finnish combi-drill Tume Nova Combi came onto the Swedish market.

This study focuses on small scale hydropower in Sweden. This means plants with a capacity of up to 10 MW. The study has a special focus on plants with a capacity up to 2 MW. The study has three aims. It strives to describe the small-scale hydroelectric industry in Sweden.

This report was written as a result of a Bachelor Degree Project at the School of Technology and Society at University of Skövde spring 2007, together with Jede AB in Mariestad. The report covers the development of a door to a coffee vending machine that is under construction, and will in a chronological order describe the project from ideas to final product.The project started with a rather extensive feasibility study that thru market research and user tests sorted out the opinions of potential customers, concerning today?s available assortment. Technical areas concerning materials and manufacturing methods were also scrutinized for the consideration of the possibilities of a future production.The next step was to constructively generate ideas and thoughts that later on could grow to be potential solutions. After several weeks of hard work and pieces of good advice and recommendations from the assigner, four comprehensive concepts were built up.

In this essay, the phenomenon and the concept "meditation" are treated. Meditation is a mental training technique where one develops the ability to choose where to put attention and ability to focus. Techniques for meditation is used individually of people who wants to develop themselves as persons and in therapeutic aims of professional within the field of psychology in order to help people to find solutions of problems within themselves. The aim with this essay were to do a qualitative study in order to see how possible effects of meditation influences daily life of contributory practisian's. Issue has been as follows; which effects have one regularly conducting of meditation on people and their lives? Interviews with four experienced meditators were done in India and the material were analyzed afterwards with the aid of thematic analysis, furthermore in order to link the results with clinical research and established theories about meditation.
