This essay focuses on men?s construction of feminism and gender and views on equality between the sexes. The purpose of the essay is met through interviews with eight men on their thoughts and constructions of these issues. The answers from the interviewed men were analysed with a radical feminist and gender perspective approach. The sources used in the analysis of the material, in the aspect of gender, were from the work of Judith Butler, Robert W.

This essay is about a debate concerning the magazine Axess, feminism and antifeminism - in relation to a issue of Axess called To a new feminism. The theoretical foundation of this essay is Pierre Bourdieu and his field theories. The battles taking place in this particular field concerns the positioning of feminism and antifeminism in the way we culturally interpret these in our society. The essay shows that the magazine Axess (at least in the first edition of 2012) links feminism with a very prominent symbolic capital in a culture context. This discussion can at times seem confusing, and this is probably due to the fact that Bourdieus symbolic capital can be a very abstract concept. The journalist and author Maria Sveland writes about the development of a culture moving towards accepting antifeminism (and also xenophobia). She expresses the opinion that this, to a high degree, is due to actors in the culture domain with a big amount of trust in the public eye has moved towards expressing anti-feministic (and xenophobic) views.

Undersökningen tar avstamp i den dominerande radikalfeministiska pornografianalysen och normer kring kvinnors sexualitet. Dess syfte är att undersöka hur feministiska porrkonsumerande kvinnor förhåller sig till pornografi. Undersökningsmaterialet har skapats genom fem samtalsintervjuer som fokuserar på feminism i relation till pornografi, normer kring kön och sexualitet samt pornografin, med inriktning på bransch, innehåll och konsekvenser. Utgångspunkten är teorier om heteronormativitet, feminism och en förståelse av porr som tal kring sex. Slutsatserna jag drar utifrån informanternas utsagor är de använder sig av olika feministiska förståelser i talet om pornografi.

In this paper I have studied how feminist parents talk to their children about body and sexuality and with which intentions they speak the way they do. The aim of the study was to locate strategies applied to give children positive relations to their bodies and their sexuality. My data are constituted by answers from a questionnaire sent out to an e-mail list for feminist parents. The answers have been compiled and analyzed, mainly qualitatively by the use of discourse analysis, with support of poststructuralist theories about language, gender and heteronormativity, as well as theories about children?s sexuality.

Denna studie har analyserat fyra forumtrådar från det svenska Internetforumet Flashback Forum. Jag har specifikt valt att studera forumets underavdelning för diskussioner rörande feminism och jämställdhet. Jag har ? genom närläsning, diskursanalys och katalogisering av foruminläggen ? försökt att analysera och ?konstruera? de diskurser som dominerar denna forumavdelning, för att förstå hur skribenterna artikulerar tecken som ?feminism? och ?kroppen?. Mina slutsatser är att två diskurser tydligt dominerar på forumavdelningen.

Detta kandidatarbete utgår ifrån två stycken frågeställningar kopplade till feminism: ?Hur kan Simone de Beauvoirs feminism gestaltas i digitala spel?? och ?Vad finns det för typiska könsroller i dagens digitala spel??. För att svara på dess frågeställningar studerade vi de Beauvoirs bok ?Det Andra Könet?, utförde spelanalyser samt delade ut skriftliga intervjuer till spelare. Resultaten blev en prototyp till ett digitalt spel vars handling är en direkt inspiration ifrån utvalda kapitel från Simone De Beauvoirs bok ?Det Andra Könet?.

The purpose of this essay is to highlight the conceptions that exist in school towards homosexuality. My overall essay questions are: What rules does the school have to apply concerning homosexuality? What approach do the professors have towards young lesbian women and kind of support is offered to the group? In order to answer these questions I interviewed a professor and a young lesbian female. One of the surveys that has been made, as a normative order, about heterosexuality in the last decade is known as queer theory.One of the theories that in surveys investigates homosexuality as a normative order is known as ?queer theory? and it is the one I decided to use in this essay.Inspired by feminist research, gay and lesbian studies and the poststructuralist theory, the queertheory focuses on some peoples way of organizing sexuality is privileged, sanctioned and is perceived as normal, while others are seen as deviant, abnormal and therefore unwelcome.

Den övergripande frågeställningen som besvaras i uppsatsen är hur journalistiken i Dagens Nyheter och Göteborgs Posten handskas med informationen om vänsterpartiets och socialdemokraternas feministiska politik mellan år 1998 och år 2002.Studien har visat att de vanligaste argumenten emot socialdemokraternas feminism oftast är kopplade till partiets ledare Göran Persson. Journalistiken framställer socialdemokraternas feminism som ett spel i och med att Göran Persson uppges vara en ofrivillig feminist.I de fall där det framkommer argument för socialdemokraternas feminism är argumenten dubbelbottnade och innehåller oftast en outtalad kritik av mot partiets feminism eller bristen på en feministisk politik. De vanligast förekommande argumenten som journalistiken förmedlar för socialdemokraternas feminism handlar om att de vill förändra en tidigare förd politik. En politik som socialdemokraterna själva anser har missgynnat kvinnorna.Journalistiken förmedlade en mycket positiv bild av vänsterns feminism och det fanns mycket få argument emot deras feminism. Argumenten handlade om att feminismen var ett spel.  Det fanns ett mycket stort antal argument för vänsterns feminism och vänstern lyckades väl med att föra ut partiets feministiska politik genom journalistiken.

Feminist initiative ? an idea analysis.On the fourth of April in the year 2005 Feministic initiative (Fi) was created, it was an main response to the slow changes in the Swedish society, which claimed to establish an equal society. Equality has become one of the major indicators of a contemporary democratic society. The Swedish government has long proclaimed to reach this goal, but even though Sweden currently lies in the front among the democratic societies, while you consider equality issues, especially between the sexes, there is still a lot that need to be done in the Swedish society. Feministic initiative began as an organization and established a political party and participated in the election during the year 2006, but failed to reach a place in the parliament.

Women magazines are like guides to women and girls, due to the fact that they consistently upgrade their women audience about different trends. Advertising ads that are directed toward women are enjoying being in the atmosphere of women magazines, based on their frequent presence in women magazine?s content. Postfeminism is regarded as being an escape from feminism or as the opposite of feminism because they don?t share feminism?s ideology about equality, gender, and feminism?s questions about power struggle.

This essay analyses text written by a gender equality movement critical of feminism. Themovement is active on the Internet and through this essay I would like to show the tensions in contemporary political debates on gender equality and feminism. 350 blogposts have been deconstructed through discourse theoretical method. In the analyses I have shown the discursive struggle that is going on within the movement in giving meaning to concepts as knowledge, society, gender, politics, feminism and gender equality. Sexual harassments have since long been an issue all over the world and schools have not been an exception. Reports from Swedish secondary schools show how 47% of the female pupils state that they have, sometime during their time in school, been the victim of sexual harassment. Other studies claim that pupils exposed to sexual harassments will develop low self-esteem and a decreased sense of self. The Swedish curriculum state that all children shall have the right to a harassment free school environment, but still many pupils claim to be exposed to sexual harassment in school. Several studies have theorized about why sexual harassment is so prevalent in schools but what do the pupils think? This study aims to reveal and analyze pupil opinions about sexual harassment; what do they think it is and why do they think it occurs? This will be done from a post-structural feminist point of view with focus on the shaping of identity among the respondents.

Syftet med denna uppsats var att undersöka hurorganisationer som arbetar med jämställdhet förhåller sig till feminism. Vidare var det även av intresse för oss att se hur de valda organisationernas begreppsdiskussioner kring feminism och jämställdhet hängde ihop med hur man inom organisationerna förhöll sigtilltitulering och marknadsföring. De teoretiska utgångspunkter vi hade var institutionell teori, intersektionalitet och tidigare forskning som berörde feministisk titulering och marknadsföring. Då vi samlade in vår empiri använde vi oss av ett kvalitativt angreppssätt och utförde semistrukturerade intervjuer med sju respondenter som representerarfem organisationer. Dessa organisationer valde vi med hjälp av ett målstyrt urval där vi hade som krav att de uttryckligen skulle arbeta med jämställdhet.De huvudsakliga resultaten studien visade var att det inte finns några direkt enhetliga åsikter om vare sig de begrepp som diskuterades eller titulering och marknadsföring kopplat till feminism.
