Foreseeing future changes in economic activity is of up most importance to a wide array of actors. The time lag in the presentation of official GDP statistics means that to somewhat accurately capture a tendency of where the business cycle is heading one need turn to qualitative sentiment indicators such as Purchasing Managers? Index (PMI) and official sentiment indicators for valuable clues. This thesis uses in-sample and out-of-sample methods to evaluate how well PMI and official Business Tendency Surveys (BTS) in Sweden and Denmark fair against the year-on-year growth rate of industrial production. Moreover, various Swedish regional sentiment indicators get examined and a case study of the indicator for the Öresund region is performed.

This thesis explores how participants and leaders in ?Alpha?, an introductory course to the Christian faith, relate to and practice faith in Sweden. Sweden has often been viewed as a secular country where religion has been seen as irrational, outdated, and as something that belongs to the other but not to the self. Through the eyes of Swedish Christian practitioners, this study explores what kind of relationship my informants have to Christian faith and God while also exploring how living in a secular or post-secular context affects their way of believing and interpreting God and the stories written in the Bible. Furthermore, understanding of the Bible is viewed in the light of the concepts ?mythos? and ?logos? which highlights where Western explanatory models fail to explain and understand mythological stories.

Bestämmelsen tar enligt ordalydelsen sikte på när en viljeförklaring förvanskas till följd av telegrafering eller genom ett bud. Vid avtalsslut som sker via e-post anses parterna komma i direkt kontakt och då försvinner det som lagstiftaren ämnat, d.v.s. att felet inte berott på avsändaren själv.Av praxis framgår det att bestämmelsen om befordringsfel sällan åberopas för fel som uppkommer under befordran.

This master thesis takes its point of departure in the conflicting worldviews of modernism and post-modernism. As traditional segmentation theory springs from the modernist worldview, this study aims to contribute to the understanding of the complexity regarding market segmentation for lifestyle brands in contemporary society, where the consumer is often claimed to be post-modern. The research was conducted in Malmö and Lund and involved 25 Converse users as respondents. The methods used in this thesis starts with observations as a sampling technique in order to locate the respondents. Short interviews and photo documentation followed.

The current field of research concerning the impact of railroads in Sweden beside from the State main-line network is relatively narrow. Including cultural impact to the area narrows the results even further. The purpose of this study is to open the field even more into the local societies and to what extent the impact of the introduction of railroad might have had on smaller county villages. En del av Visby ringmur rasade i februari 2012. Detta examensarbete tar upp ringmurens konstruktion och lösningar på hur man skall kunna återuppbygga muren på ett kulturhistoriskt korrekt sätt. Rapporten tar även upp andra murkonstruktioner och lösningar som man har använt sig av på liknande murar runt om i Europa. För att beskriva olika lösningar som förklarar hur försvarsmurar är uppbyggda och som kan ge inspiration till lösningar i uppbyggnaden av Visby ringmur. This report presents an investigation and a new design of Habo Ullspinneris old industrial premises. It is based on the owners visions and wishes, two questionnaires and also considering of the historical value.Habo Ullspinneri was founded in 1882 by Frans August Johansson and was moved to the location it has today, near Hökån in Habo, three years later. The electricity that the machines in the industry needed was extracted from the small river that is placed under the building. In 1960 there was a fire and the result became the end of the industrial activity that had taken place in the building.There is no steady activity in the building at the moment. It is nowadays temporarily used as an agriculture museum and as a store room.

The advantages with product placement in blogs compared to traditional media is shown in earlier empirical findings where consumers found blog posts more credible and informative than a corresponding article in a web paper. It can therefore be argued that the informal structure and personal tonality of the blog reinforces the effects of product placement on brand attitude and intention to buy as the consumer has no persuasion knowledge and does not detect the rewriting of the product as commercial.This paper?s overall aim is to provide concrete implications for how to manage product placement on fashion blogs. The purpose of the essay is therefore to investigate the communicative effects of product placement in fashion blogs as well as to examine if a revelation of commercial interest behind a blog posts about a certain brand effects the consumers? attitude towards the blog and/or brand attitude and intention to buy.

This work consists of a survey and risk classification of eleven metal industries including foundries, finishers and engineering industries in two industrial areas in Mora. The study follows a method called MIFO (Method of Surveying Contaminated Sites) composed by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency. In the method assessments of the degree of hazard posed by the pollutants, the level of pollution, the conditions of dispersal, sensitivity and the degree to which the area is worthy to protect are made for each contaminated site (object). The assessment classify the objects into four risk classes in which risk class 1 denotes a very large risk, 2 large risk, 3 moderate risk and risk class 4 little risk. The work of surveying using MIFO is divided into two phases.

The aim of this study about post-conflict economic, social and political reintegration of ex-combatants is to understand how such a process should be prepared for in order to help as many traumatized and sometimes destructive or disabled soldiers as possible to re-establish themselves as functioning civilians as well as preparing communities for their return. In order to do this I have focused on Africa and in particular the DDR-process of post war Sierra Leone. My study concludes that the relation between ex-combatants and civilians and the prospect of a positive future are crucial to a successful reintegration process..

Bakgrund och problemformuleringDå frågor kring informationsteknikens (IT) användning inom vården ofta handlar om ekonomisk effektivitet och medicinsk nytta finns ett behov av att sätta ett vårdvetenskapligt perspektiv på frågan om nyttan eller effekterna av IT. Utifrån en teoretisk definition av IT respektive omvårdnad är det möjligt att se att IT kan ha betydelse för sjuksköterskans omvårdnad på åtminstone tre sätt; som informationsbärare av vårdvetenskaplig information, som medium för interaktion med patienten och som påverkan på arbetsinnehåll och sjuksköterskans yrkesroll. Studien avser därför belysa hur sjuksköterskor uppfattar IT:s betydelse för omvårdnaden av patienten.SyfteStudien syftar till att belysa IT:s betydelse för sjuksköterskans omvårdnad av patienten. Kunskap om denna betydelse är en förutsättning för att omvårdnad som en viktig del i patientens vård, främjas av den IT-användning som införs och används inom hälso- och sjukvården.MetodSex intervjuer inom två forskningsfält gjordes och analyserades genom en kvalitativ innehållsanalys.Resultat och diskussionResultatet visar att IT i praktiken har liten betydelse ifråga om att stödja sjuksköterskans teoretiska omvårdnadskunskap. Genom att vården erbjuder kommunikation via e-post är det möjligt att patienters olika behov av kontakt med vården tillgodoses.

Earlier psychological research on stress and its complex of problems has identified several factors which have shown a relation with the occurrence of a poorer mental ill-health. In this study some of these factors have been examined in 69 police officers from Stockholm, Lund and Helsingborg. In the study, police officers with high and low self reported ill-health were compared considering trait anxiety, alexithymia and posttraumatic stress symptoms.The results showed that police officers with poorer mental ill health had a significant higher degree of trait anxiety, the dimension of alexithymia difficulty identifying feelings and the PTSD-dimension avoidance and hyperarousal. The results also showed several positive relations among the variables that divided the groups. On account of the last-mentioned the results will above all be discussed in an integrating perspective..

The study is made on behalf of SCA Skog Jämtlands förvaltning which is one of five administration units that SCA Skog consists of. The purpose of the study is to investigate which reduced expenses there are according to spatial concentration of cutting areas. By increasing the spatial concentration of cutting areas it will reduce the need of movements by trailer, also reduce the number of roads that you use during the activities. To be able to perform the study, access to a annual cuttings in nine years have been made available. From this volume new annual cuttings has been created but more concentrated. The two different results have been compared and the results show that concentration of cutting areas generates reduced need for trailer transports and less km road that has to be maintained. But then, if it´s practical viable can be discussed.

Forskningsfrågor:Går det att urskilja CSR-engagemang inom DIS och på vilket sätt arbetar DIS med CSR? Hur påverkas DIS arbete av deras intressenters involvering och engagemang beträffande CSR frågor, vilka utmaningar och möjligheter kan identifieras gällande detta?Syfte:Syftet med studien är att kartlägga och utvärdera hur DIS arbetar med CSR.Metod:Denna studie är en fallstudie med kvalitativ ansats som inriktar sig på en viss organisation, i detta fall DIS. För denna studie utfördes sju semi-strukturerade intervjuer i avseendet att samla in data som mätte upp till och passade in i studiens övergripande syfte.Slutsats:Studiens resultat påvisar att DIS inte innehar någon CSR-strategi men att det är möjligt att urskilja ett utspritt engagemang inom företaget. I nuläget går det att benämna CSR-engagemanget ur ett inaktivt/reaktivt tillvägagångssätt. Intressenter är av väsentlig vikt för DIS i nuläget och att vidare involvera och skapa relationer med ur ett CSR-perspektiv..
